Super pretty and worth the money! Only $10 per adult and 8$ for military for such beautiful views and a whole experience with so many gnomes and lots to see and do! Glad we stopped and definitely recommend!

Wide-angle lens, but 5'4" me is obviously not overpowered by the fall.

The entire point of this post is this: I'm not sure why I have to pay $8 to see a pretty small waterfall (RE: nature, literally naturally occurring sights). I was very bored after approx. 10-15 min. * It is through a gift shop too, so you can only visit during their hours. * They have factoids along the short path about various trees and plants (something I don't care much for), along with probably two dozen weird gnomes scattered around. * There's absolutely no hiking, no venturing off the trail (or at least not supposed to...). * You can feed ducks on a small man made pond. The only good thing about this waterfall/sight is that it's (I believe) 100% wheelchair accessible, which I really do appreciate.

Some of the gnomes are creepy

This place is totally weird, but could be worth checking out depending on your interests. Here's my view of how this place came to be. Some random in Munising decided to purchase a waterfall (and the surrounding land) on the cheap. Then when (s)he realized what the annual property taxes were going to look like (s)he was all like "Oh shit, how am I going to hold onto this place? I need to figure out a way to charge admission and sell some shit, STAT". Said person or someone in said person's family had a thing for garden gnomes and other random kitschy stuff and immediately got to work on the place, as it stands currently. My advice would be to check this place out if you have young kids with you and/or if you love garden gnomes. Otherwise there are plenty of other gift shops around as well as plenty of gorgeous PUBLIC waterfalls that do not charge admission. My wife and I happen to love garden gnomes (didn't have the kids with us on this trip) so it was sort of worth it for us to pay the $12 per-car admission (Horseshoe Falls charges admission by the vehicle type rather than by # of visitors) and go on a "Gnome Scavenger Hunt". You can put on some silly gnome hats, if you wish, and then wander around the grounds checking assorted gnomes off a supplied list. We were able to find all but one of them. We were also able to enjoy all other sort of esoterica, as well as a trout pond where you can feed the fish/ducks for the low low price of $0.25 per handful of food pellets. The waterfall itself was very pretty. Given all the equally pretty public waterfalls in the area, I think I would have felt ripped off if I'd paid just to see the waterfall. But if I am in the area again with my kids, I would probably fork over the cash again just so they could enjoy themselves on the grounds of this quaint little tourist trap.

No sun for this sun dial.

It is vacation. A time when we freely depart with our money. So we shelled out $15 for three of us to visit Horseshoe Falls. Too bad it is a TOURIST TRAP. The falls themselves are beautiful. Mother Nature is the greatest artist, nothing can be said other than that. The walk to the falls is short, and easy to traverse. The rest of the park is tacky and kitschy. There are gnomes littered here and there, and several other "attractions". There is a giant sundial, that might be cool on a sunny day, today however it read "rain-o'clock" the whole time we were there (not the park's fault... I know). The "giant trout" were nowhere to be seen. The gift shop is nothing special. The girl working was pleasant enough, but she's maybe 17, and didn't seem to want to be there much. Munising Falls, part of the National Park system is a five minute drive away and worlds apart! (And free) Horseshoe is fine, but certainly not worth as much as admission.

Paths and wooden boardwalks were level and well maintained

Nice store. The property grounds are beautiful but there is an entrance fee to see beyond the store.

Adorable and fun without the hike. Cute store. Get your kids a gnome hat. Yep it's 8 bucks. Privately owned business. Enjoy.

Two words rip off. Many other falls just as beautiful for free. The gnomes were a weird effect. The gift shop usual run-of-the-mill junk.

Underwhelming and overpriced. The only thing that has any value I thought was the trout pond which was neat.

Located inside Palms Book State Park, this natural spring was one of the most unique and beautiful places we visited. The water is crystal clear all the way to the bottom, and you can easily see fish swimming below. You hop onto a self-operated raft that you pull across the water to the middle of the spring, where there's an opening in the center to look straight down. It gives you a perfect view of the vibrant underwater world -- it's honestly mesmerizing. It's a quick stop, but totally worth it. And the best part? It's dog-friendly! Definitely add this to your list if you're exploring the Upper Peninsula.

Clear blue water, bubbling sand, never ending springs, a tow boat, and lots of trout are the wonders to see. Everyone gets on the boat and someone (well a few people over the course of the trip) step up to the wheel to tow the boat across the water. The water is mesmerizing. I couldn't take my eyes off the water. Many people can fit on the boat so the wait is not too long. A day pass is $11. Definitely make this stop if you are in the area.
