I reported it the first night I checked in two days ago and they were supposed to take care of it the next day but nothing but excuses. Someone finally came to my room to look at the issue today (two days after) but they couldn't resolve it. Spent hours while they scratched their heads and tried to make excuses that weren't valid. Meanwhile, I was stuck in the room the whole time so I could show them and explain to them what the issues were. They finally changed me to another room where the TV was working, but not until my having to supervise and push everything from the moment I woke up until about 3 PM today. Then they switched me to another room, which meant I had to pack up all my things from the one room, move them to another floor and unpack again. Also, the first night I went to take a shower and there was no water pressure in the shower so I reported that and they came and fixed that the next day. I am including that in this review so as to say while the hotel looks nice on the inside. It is a very old building and they have problems with infrastructure. Another time when I stayed here the knob for turning on & off the hot water broke off. I figured things happen, but it seems like each time I've been here something happens and it's not easy to get it resolved and I waste my vacation time dealing with it. And while most of the people here are pleasant as are most of the people I've encountered in Guadalajara, there is one woman who works in the Hotel restaurant who has a bad attitude. She is not very pleasant and essentially rude and gives snotty looks at you. I reported her on previous trips and again today. And what I've come to find out by two employees the last time I was here is that she is like that to everybody. And that made me feel better because I didn't know what I had done to not only dislike me, but physically show her dislike to me. I will be looking at better options. You should look at better options also.

It does not look like the photos online and feels very run down. There were several issues throughout the stay, including things that either did not work properly or clearly had not been maintained. The staff was friendly enough, but not attentive or service-focused. The most frustrating part was when they suggested we had broken the toilet, even though the issue was clearly a small leak from the hose connection and the toilet already flushed poorly. It was disappointing and surprising that they tried to blame guests for what seemed like basic maintenance neglect. Based on my experience, I do not understand the high ratings. The positive reviews and photos did not match the reality of this property at all. Be careful before booking. Overall, the location is good, but the facilities and service do not match the expectations set online. At best, this feels like a 2- or 3-star hotel. I would not stay here again and would recommend avoiding it.

We booked a private room and stayed here for 3 nights. All the staff members we met were all super nice and spoke english well. Our private room was actually in a separate building across the street and was HUGE! We had a king bedroom with our own private bathroom and a balcony! The place was clean and the bed was super comfortable! The restroom was very modern and had plenty of hot water and good water pressure! They offer super basic breakfast (toast, cereal, juice) which we did not partake as it did not satisfy our needs. We also didn't get to do the free walking tour because the guide called in sick but the hostel did help us book our tequila tour, which is a MUST DO when you are here! The ONLY issue I had was that the location is right in the center of the city so there are shops just below us on the first floor and during the day, they would play SUPER loud music so if I wanted to nap or have some quiet time, it was a bit irritating. But this would not keep me staying here again! Met some other travelers and had a great time here!

And they don't seem to have any hand towels. Fitness center is lacking. There is one treadmill that is partially broken... The emergency stop attachment is missing, and if you accidentally brush the empty port for it, the treadmill abruptly stops. The spinbikes are dated and in bad repair as well; the toe piece to one pedal is missing on at least two of the three. The location of this hotel was perfect for my trip.

The GM Susan (who is also the wedding planner for weddings) was so hospitable and nice. She immediately gave us a tour of the place and some welcome drinks and it did not disappoint. The house is absolutely stunning and perfect for a wedding or special occasion. The rooms were a great size, the bathroom was a little tight but the bed was comfortable, unit had AC and anything else you would need. The stay includes a delicious breakfast. The only downfall for us and why we ultimately did not choose this as our wedding venue was the surrounding area. It has not been well kept and there is so much grafiti all over the buildings outside, did not make for a nice morning walk. Unfortunately this is all out of their hands and hopefully the city does something to improve downtown.
