Recently, my niece and I visited Guadalajara and our favorite part of the visit was our stay at the…read moreQuinta Real Hotel. It may be the most beautiful hotel I've ever seen. It is part of the luxurious Quinta Real brand, which often places their hotel properties in historical buildings. The Guadalajara property was actually built in 1986, but constructed as a traditional colonial-style hacienda on land once owned by the Martinez family. It has been described as an oasis, and that is a perfect impression. When you step inside, you're enclosed by high stone walls, reminiscent of a castle or palazzo, surrounded by lush gardens, birdsong, splashing fountains, antiques, and artwork by artists such as Sergio Bustamante. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in and elegant indoor/outdoor restaurant. Everything is hushed and refined, in direct contrast with the noise and traffic just outside the doors. The very best part of the experience, however, was the impeccable, accommodating, and kind staff. We both felt so pampered, without any sort of stiffness. ours was a truly wonderful stay and we cannot recommend the Quinta Real enough.

They also had accessible rooms. In addition, their restaurant was really tasty. The enmoladas, tacos, and chilaquiles were all really nice.

Don't book here unless you want to smell your room like restroom…read more Check-in was 10 Room- pictures are deceiving, nothing like the pictures in person. Awful 3day stay. AC smelled. Bathroom shower was rusted and stained. Floors were slimy. Sink was stained. Towels were stiff and old. Beds- we felt the springs on these mattress, so uncomfortable and hard to fall asleep. First night I was bitten by a bed bug. Bed sheets seem cheap and stain. Blow dryer was old and didn't work. Small size fridge- was only provided with 2water bottles. Our room door didn't shut well and was a crack. There's a train that passes right at midnight with its horn.. Swimming pool was ok. You needed to rent the towels from front desk. There was no food allowed in premises if swimming. Valet guy was rude. Morning breakfast was provided but in their restaurant(lobby).. chilaquiles were not it. Pancakes soggy. The only good thing was the hot coffee and concha. They have a mall right next door. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't book here again!!! Wish I saw more reviews before booking here.

The only complaint I have is that when I turn on the faucet the water came out was brown color. Luckily there was 2 bottles of water so I used that to brush my teeth. Everything else was good. It looks like the parking lot has good security.

This review is just for the evening restaurant. Everything else is great!…read more I've been here two nights and dinner has been terrible the first night I had chicken in mole it was a chicken breast, had two bites and tasted a bit off I looked at the chicken and it was undercooked. I didn't complain just paid for it. The second night I had the tostadas de callo. I've had these many times but what I received was old smelly, squishy callo. I had to complain. They didn't charge me for my plate and service was really bad. Room is great and breakfast are amazing but dinner here I have to say not good at all.

I stayed at this hotel last weekend. The rooms are very nice and modern. Our first room was not…read moreproperly cleaned, the bathroom must have been missed during the clean up, there was stuff on the toilet seat. We went down stairs and the front desk switched us to a new room, no fuss. We went up to the rooftop bar, great views and great drinks. The food however was a different story. Everyone in my group had issues with the food we sent back some of the food, but it wasn't any better when it returned to the table. Needless to say we did not eat here again. If you stay here visit the bar for the views but avoid the food. Overpriced and very low quality. Lastly, the hotel lobby has no restroom!!! Almost everyday while waiting for our friends in the lobby we had to make the trip up to our room in the 5th floor to use the bathroom. The was such an inconvenience. The hotel is centrally located and there are many restaurants and places to see within walking distance. I personally will not stay here again.
