Nothing special! This Smørrebrød place probably used to be a sweet shop/cafe. Everything inside appears that way. Since the current owners took over, they didn't change anything, except the flyers on the windows and also the glass counter, which doesn't look appealing at all.
I would be fine with all of this, except I had a problem with the food. I ordered 3 smørrebrød which the owner automatically wrapped my order to go, but I wanted to eat it there. One open sandwich was typical for Denmark- eggs and shrimp, another with cabbage mixed with yogurt and the last one was with falafel. The best was the one with egg and shrimp, the worst was the one with falafel. The falafel was old and very dry on the edges. It tasted very bad and it was kind of slimy inside. I was scared to eat that, so I didn't. Of course I told to the person behind the counter. He offered me another. No way I would go for another falafel.
I definitely recommend that you make sure you double check which smørrebrøds are fresh and which aren't. But if you are not desperate don't go there.
This is my first review (#276), where I write something like that. I hope they just had a bad day and they will change their business approach.
I will stop by in few months and if things will change, I'll be happy to add some stars.
