Medisterapolese, merguez, bresolinni, were some of the meats we had to munch on outside in the square after hitting the cheese shop and bakery, a few doors down. The workers wear old school uniforms and hats to impart a time long past. Super helpful, I got into a discussion about the Medisterapolese with one butcher and I knew this place was going to be awesome. Is it weird that I can carry on a long convo with a butcher about the charcuterie arts? As predicted, fabulous meat products and it's also good to know my own butcher makes a very comparable product.

It's a halal butcher, so you can't get pork, but you can get a lot of lamb cuts and beef. I only go here to buy lamb. It's can be difficult to get lamb in Danish supermarkets, so the local halal butcher is you lamb friend.

I got some big beef ribs here which the butcher was happy to saw in half for me. The price was fair, and the ribs turned out beautifully after a long boil and short grill. The only reason that I didn't give it the fifth star was that it was wrapped poorly. When I got home, the meat was almost falling out of the paper and myoglobin was leaking out into the bag even though I hardly jostled it. Luckily the plastic bag kept the spill from reaching my kitchen counter, but it would only have taken a little bit more paper and care to avoid this.
