awful. pedicure lasted 15 min. included barely a soak, a scrub on my shin only, trimming the nail and yanking my skin. i said owwww many times and she didn't even look up. then it was rip off old shellac with nail clippers and do gel. there was no massage, no hot towel, no lotion!!!! she didn't scrub my heels or anything else. horrible!! i asked for gel mani, she just got some cuticles, barely filed my nails and then polish. no massage or lotion or cuticle oil. she didn't even ask me what length or shape i wanted nails. there was no communication. none of them acted like they even cared they just wanted me in and out as fast as possible. and it was $45 for pedi and $35 for mani. read more

My husband and I both went for manicures and pedicures for about 19 years. At first the service was good and done thoroughly. As time went on the pedicures were about 10 minutes as we're the manicures. Nails were often rough and polish was outside of the nail. We weren't satisfied so we began going to House of Nails. Their service is wonderful...they really take their time and the nails are gorgeous! Hot nails just began focusing on the money and not the customer. Not great! read more

Worst pedicure EVER and the most disgusting nail salon I have ever been to. I am in town for a family reunion and needed a pedicure. Well worse decision to go here. They sat me in a gross tub and it did not have a bag. I asked for one and she did place one. Very quick pedi, no massage, quick scrub from a nasty jar and was rought with my cuticles. I noticed a little girl getting her nails done next to me and when she was done they drained the water from the tub, again, no bag. Then another woman walked in to get her pedicure done and sat down in the seat where the little girl was and they didn't even bother to clean the basin or not even put a bag!!! I went in with my sister in law to get our nails done. They started off by not even taking off all of the regular nail polish I had on originally. They didn't do a manicure at all (cuticles, soaking my fingers, trimming, shaping, filing, etc). The tools the lady used did not look to be clean. I wanted to get the dip and man was that a bad idea. I have 10 blobs for nails now. The lady coated them 3 times and never shaped them or got the excess out from under my nails. Seriously such a waste of $35 bucks. After the lady got done with my nails she took the paper towel that was under my nails, shook it on the floor and then placed it back for the next costumer. EW!! read more

I went to hot nails on September 30th 2023. And the service was unacceptable. First off, when I walked in the woman was extremely rude and hostile. She kept on yanking me around. As if I didn't know how to put my hand under the gel cure. I kept repeating that I wanted my nails shorter, and each time she would file it quickly and then go back to what she was doing. She didn't take the time to actually make them shorter. I did not appreciate that. Do you actually the nails in general look terrible. I asked for a light colored pink and they gave me the hottest pink they had. And on top of all of that, the paint is thin enough or you can see through to the nail. The paint work was very sloppy, and did not even stay in the lines. One of my fingers has a French tip, and then the paint is smeared towards the end, and the other of my fingers isn't even fully painted. If you go to this place, I do not recommend getting your acrylics done. At the same time I paid good money to have a pedicure and a pedicure lasted no longer than seven minutes. read more

Worst nail salon I've ever been too. Very rude to me after I asked about a certain way to get my toes done. Wouldn't fix my broken nail that they did less then a week ago. Whatever you do DO NOT GO HERE! I was in Garden City from out of town and should have trusted my fellow Yelpers! Angel Nail Salon was next door but when I walked in it was dark, and uninviting. Hot Nails had one review on Google and it was good so I thought I'd give them a chance. BIG mistake. There is only three pedicure chairs. There was only three people working this day. No sign in sheet and a huge long wait. When they finally put me in a pedicure chair I sat with my feet in the water for longer than the actual pedicure lasted! She pulled the tools out of the sterilizer and they were not even packaged. Not sure if I can trust they were sterile without the package with the indicator but whatever. They only have one basic pedicure--no deluxe, no hot towels, no massage, no paraffin wax, NOTHING. After I moved to get my manicure I saw another lady sit down where I had my pedicure. I did not see them scrub out the bowl or anything. I think they just drained the water. DISGUST. I could have done a better job myself at home with my own tools. Left with calluses still on my feet. I kept showing her places on my nails that were not filed evenly or still had cuticles that were not pushed back or trimmed. No attention to detail whatsoever. The place is a mess. (I posted pics) Nail clippings and unidentifiable white crap everywhere. I would not come here even if it was the last nail salon on the entire planet! read more

Waste of time! Not only did they not do my wife's nails but told us that " I don't do long nails" my wife's nails are standard In length as nails are Concerned. I'm writing this review because I've never heard of a business saying they can't do the one thing that the business is advertising that it does. This is really bad. They've never cleaned or vacuumed and there were nail and skin clippings covering the floor. My manicure was 4 minutes long and they tried to charge me for a full manicure. They had 8 people waiting with no sign in sheet. Reeeeeeeally bad. read more

Worst. Job. Ever. I went in to have my acrylic nails removed (which I thankfully had done somewhere else). Afterwards, I asked them to paint my nails. The lady left little pieces of the acrylic on my nail, and then half assed the paint job and painted right over them! When I got out to my car I could see bumps from the acrylic, smudges of the polish, and right through the thin coat of polish! I should have just painted them myself... Though the people in the salon are very accommodating, the pedicure left a lot to be desired. For the speed in which my pedicure was completed, I would expect to pay less for the pedicure. My heels are calloused, salons usually spend more time smoothing the skin and at the end of the pedicure before polishing usually give me a wonderful massage on my calves and feet. By far the worst nail salon. Nail colors old and out dated. Waited 45 minutes on the couch, then 30 in the nail chair. 3 ladies came over to look at my nails and went and took people just walking in. I get my nails filled and done, every 3 weeks, at different places. Because I travel. After them taking people that came in 8 after me, I walked out. I wanted a pedicure/fill/manicure/paint & design. We were in Garden City, KS for a family reunion and had a free day, so my brother and sister went to Hot Nails for a pedi (I had a pedi/fill before going to KS). Low Yelp reviews made me leery of taking them there. They were both very pleased with their pedis and they recommend Hot Nails for their fast, courteous, gentle service. The shop was clean and tidy. They were walk-ins on a Monday morning and immediately seated. My brother is a 71 year old widower and can't reach his toes to clip them. He soaked while his operator finished up another customer. She then gave him a great pedi and relieved the pressure from long ingrown toe nails. He was very pleased. My sister was immediately started by the other operator, who quickly and gently ridded of her of rough heels and trimmed her nails. She didn't want a color, so she was done in about 15 minutes. If I lived near Garden City, I wouldn't hesitate in getting a pedi there. I would give them a try for a fill or full set and judge for myself. I observed nothing that would make me lower the rating from 5 stars during this visit. read more

8/31/14 Ugh, do not go here. It was soooo gross. The other reviewers photos of the floor are correct. My friend and I had pedicures. The floor was so disgusting, I don't think they ever have cleaned there. The couch in the waiting room is so dirty we didn't even want to lean our heads back. I can't believe we didn't just walk out. We watched the put tools in the sterilizer in and out in 3 minutes time. Not washed or anything just laid in the UV sterilizer on top of others and taken out to reuse on others. Stopped in to treat myself for a manicure and pedicure which I only do a few times a year. There was several people waiting there and no sign in, I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes before another patron told me to pick a color and have a seat. When it was finally my turn I was rushed into the pedicure seat, she did not give me the controls, for all I know the seat was broken. The water was so hot I scalded my feet and the lady working the next chair turned the temp down. Without giving my feet any time to soak she trimmed my nails and started to push back my cuticles (ouch!!). I was in the chair for a total of maybe 10 minutes if that, including French polish application. She spent a total of 15 seconds working on my calluses which is the main reason why I went in the first place. Then I was rushed over to a nail chair. She "rinsed" my hands in a bowl of water from the sink about 3 seconds for each hand. Trimmed my cuticles and cut my pinky with her trimmers, I was bleeding quite a bit. Again total time about 7 minutes, including shellac polish. I noticed that she never exchanged the nail tools for my feet or hands which means they were NOT sanitized between customers!! Disgusting! She also did not scrub the foot bath after I was done for the next customer. Talk about gross and spreading bacteria among other things. Glad I WASTED $60 of my hard earned money that I worked very hard for and thought I was going to be pampered for once. What a disgusting joke and disappointment. Never again! read more

Honestly the worst mani/pedi ever. I was visiting from out of town and wish I would've taken the time to read the reviews posted by others. The pedicure left a lot to be desired but the manicure was awful. I paid to use the gel polish but then learned they don't have the right equipment to harden the polish correct but still charged me full price. She polished my cuticles that she refused to trim appropriately. Of course the polish never hardened as it should have and started peeling up the next day because she painted my cuticles. I was irritated but was already invested and felt it would be rude to just get up and walk out. During the manicure a woman came in the had a clearly infected nail (not shocking by the lack of proper sanitation practices in the salon). The nail tech looked at her nail and took an electronic nail file to her nail and continued to work even though the woman was nearly in tears from the pain. The customer asked if the nail tech if she should see her physician and they told her it was not necessary and to soak it in one of their dirty bowls. I plead with her to not soak it at the salon but to seek the attention of a doctor. Needless to say I won't be visiting this salon again. read more
