I would give this a one star just for the old guy who works there. I went in this afternoon for a refill on dip, everything was going well until he started cutting down my nail with the drill?? I have never had that done, that's what nail cutters are used for, then he started filling and buffing my other hand, then between that he started dipping one pinkie nail then switched to buffing the other hand it was just too much? I then told him i would like to just wait for the other girl to do my nails. He got pissed off and told me to wait till she's done and that she doesn't do dip powder. Only gel manicure, I said that's fine i'd rather do gel then get hurt just because of pettiness or laziness? I just wasn't satisfied. read more

Tina spent so much time helping me pick my color for my manicure, and created a very cute design on my ring fingers. The pedicure by Kardi was also excellent! I did a foot peel at home a few days before and she took so much time to make sure my feet were exfoliated and looked smooth and soft. read more

I got a full set exactly 13 days ago and have already had 4 nails come off. What I wanted wasn't given to me and I still gave them a chance and believed when they said the full set would come out nice. Wrong. My nails started bending and the pain from it was unbearable, eventually the entire nail split off and it was the most unbearable pain I've ever experienced, upon closet examination I realized, the woman who did them connected the acrylic to my nail so once it finally peeled off, half of my nail went with it. I've been coming to this salon since I was in 10th grade. I used to walk there at that time. Now I'm 22 and I refuse to spend $58 on anything from them. read more

Came here with 3 family members to get our nails done, so we were a party of 4. 2 of us got manicures only. The other 2 got pedis and manis. Pros - Good quality. I got a gel french tip manicure with silver glitter tips. My guy is the owner's son. He did an awesome job. When I showed him the initial silver glitter I picked, he noticed that it may not come up as well as a french manicure tip. He found another silver glitter polish, with smaller glitter. It definitely came up very well. No chipping. No issues. - Good hygiene. My nail guy took out a separate sealed kit with the nail tools. Good sign. Additionally, I saw the other nail workers scrub the pedicure tubs before the next customer. Cons - They don't take reservations, which isn't cool. We came on a Saturday afternoon and they were hella busy. This place looks like they have a decent amount of business, which is why I would think they take reservations. The fact that they don't means there is a decent wait time. - Not a good waiting area. There are about 4-5 chairs in their waiting area. On a busy day, like the day we went, there is not enough room. My point- be prepared and be aware of the time that you go. - Timing. There is definitely a rush. I got the impression that the workers are very pressured and probably work a little too quickly. This also means they may not be very aware of the situation around them. For example, one of my sisters was waiting to get her pedicure. The soaking tub did not get turned for her for a decent amount of time. As a result, she had her feet at the edge of the tub and her feet didn't get soaked for a proper amount of time for the pedicure. Please remember that is my personal take on the situation. Hello there, I was in yesterday for the first time.. I got a full set with acrylic and almond shape with A very simple black French tip design. The guy that did my nails ( I cant remember his name, maybe Tony?) was SO sweet. He was very gentle compared to other nail techs who can be very rough. He attempted to do my design exactly how I wanted. However... the nails themselves did not turn out well. Most nail tips don't fit sidewall to sidewall, the almond shape is crooked in almost all the nails and the design was not neatly done at all. Listen, I'm not one to complain about anything. I wasn't even going to send this because I felt so bad because the nail tech was so nice. I know I should have spoken up yesterday but by the time I left my nail tech and one other tech were the only ones left. at that point I had been there for a while and just wanted to leave. It also took an hour and a half when normally it only takes about 45 min to get a full set. I'm not here to shame this person but I haven't gotten my nails done is a really long time and i just spent $60 on them and am really really disappointed. You guys were referred to me by a good friend of mine. I got them done for an event I'm going to tomorrow and they look so bad I'm contemplating just having them removed. If there's anyway they can be redone tomorrow afternoon before I go to this show that would be greatly appreciated. Like I said ....I'm not one to complain or return services but I'm really let down by these nails. the rest of my experience was a pleasant one... the prices were reasonable,everyone was super nice and they got me in quickly... but the end result is very disappointing. I have never been so upset, angry and disappointed with this business and my nail tech Tina, who've I been going to for years. In fact, I've been a loyal customer for over 5yrs. I used to love getting my mani-pedi's here. It was fun and Lilly would make it a good time. Now with covid, they're worse than ever with this. Not only that, but they don't follow any of the guidelines set by the CDC, except having you wash your hands when entering. They don't even follow their own rules they put in their own guidelines! Here's what happened on 11/12. I had an appt with Tina for 12:00 and was there on time. I walk in and find her just starting a new set of acrylics. She told me to wait in my car, which is what you should do, but as I'm getting ready to go out, another customer walks in and just sits down and Tina says nothing to her. I'm now waiting for over 18 min. when she comes out and has the nerve to tell me she "over booked" and "if it's OK if I another tech do my nails!" Now I'm pissed. I aj her why I'm the one who has to be inconvenienced and why do I bother to make an appt if I'm always waiting or have to go to another tech (this wasn't the first time). I STILL had to wait. She tells me which table to sit at and as I walk to put my purse down, I see 2 people at the table next to me. These tables are right next to each other to begin with and with another person it caused him to be within 1 1/2 feet from me if not closer. I have anxiety and an underlying health issue, but I its not like I am not able to go out as long as I do everything we're told to. I'm starting to get upset, shake and tell the tech that the guy sitting there isn't 6ft away nor is he supposed to be there. It's 1 person and according to THEIR own rules and the CDC, as soon as a customer is done, they're to leave. Tina actually had the nerve to ask ME to move to another table! Now I'm crying, saying he shouldn't be there, out of nowhere, a customer gets involved saying he had a right to be there because he was a paying customer. What the Hell does she think I am? As all this was going on, I was texting my husband because my anxiety was getting bad and I was crying and this so called "gentleman" didn't bother to move, even though he could see and hear how upset it was making me. My husband showed up to show support and help me get through my refill, when all Hell broke out. See that woman who wouldn't mind her business, kept adding fuel to the fire. Then she through the "Race Card" at me! See, the man next to me was black. I swear on my mother's life, that that never crossed my mind. I didn't care if he was green, purple or orange, he was too close to me and shouldn't have been there. It got to the point where she was screaming racist stuff at me, even throwing Trump into the mix. So you know what Tina was doing the entire time? She kept telling ME to call down. ME, I wasn't the one who was swearing, making racist comments and screaming out angerly. In the meantime, the man who was next to me THREATENED my husband, telling him he would knock the Hell out him. Telling him to step outside. Not one time did either of use or say anything racist! Lilly was out for 2 weeks, but I'm making sure she knows exactly what took place, as well as the owner, the CDC, PA State Board of Cosmetology, BBB, and PA State of Health! All the techs here are super friendly and funny. They do an amazing job on my nails including great designs at a reasonable, competitive price. My best friend and I have been to a few salons in the area and Hot Nails is by far the best and the most clean too! They're very diligent in sanitizing their tools, something I noticed wasn't being done at the salon down the street. Try them once and you'll see a difference in quality and how well they treat their customers. Also, I read another review that said they don't take appointments. That's not true. I've been making appointments for the past two months with no problem. read more

This place is the best. I've been there once, properly 4 months ago. I've been to several places surrounding this area. I know it is tough to evaluate this type of business. However, let me briefly elaborate so you can get a sense of how I felt that day. After a long and stressful day of work and not to mentioned that you need a pedi badly, I walked in and as soon as i said hello, i felt very relax, just like my first visit. It was a very welcoming experience and while getting your toes to look pretty, you can sit back, relax, chit chat on many topics. Most importantly, I was giggling, smiling, and having fun. I don't know what else you could have ask for...what's the point of getting pamper when you don't enjoy it. Everywhere I go everyone ask me where do I go to get my eyelashes done.
