Thanks Gretchen! It was awesome! I signed up for the Sunrise Celebrity Yoga class with Kristin McGee (love her) and had a blast! It was a challenging power flow yoga session-just as I expected. Kristin is a very skillful instructor and the staff from Spark Yoga walked around to provide hands on modification, which I thought was a nice touch. I actually wish the boot-camp session had not been at the same time, because I would have loved to do both. Maybe next year? The brunch tables were being set up as we did our practice (which I found to be a little distracting, but I guess that is what happens with outdoor yoga) and looked lovely. After the hour session we were encouraged to stop by the vendor booth to get samples (magazines, snacks, seed packets, water), meet Kristin and the staff from Spark Yoga. I hope to participate in this event again next year.

This annual event started back in '13 in San Diego, and had expanded to Fairfax, VA and Austin, TX for the '14 year - yahoo! The premise of this event is to encourage a healthy lifestyle - a balance of being fit with a combination of cooking and fitness demonstrations, so that you can have the pleasure of both worlds of working out hard and that you can also indulge in healthy food at the same time. This year, the event has teamed up with City of Hope, as this charity focuses on treatment and research for cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening diseases. Checking in was a breeze; I was able to attend the Celebrity Sunrise Yoga, held at the Mosaic, presented by PlainSmart. The celebrity trainer for this event was Ms. Kristin McGee, where the attendees were able to do some balancing and strengthening yoga moves, great for all skill levels. Intense/relaxing, all at the same time! Another event that you can sign up for was the Obstacle Course Bootcamp and even a Celerity Chef Brunch that you could attend with an additional registration/cost. A great way to jump-start a 'healthy' week! I would love to check out the event next year, and look forward to having them again in NoVA! :D Thanks for the opportunity, Gretchen! :D

The only downside was the limited and not very clean restrooms during a busy event. First, let's give an applause to their social media team for helping me discover this place. The game day promotions caught my attention, and they absolutely delivered. The decor, atmosphere, and energy were all fantastic. You could tell Inca Social was well prepared, with a fully staffed team that stayed attentive throughout our visit. Whether it was quickly finding us an extra chair or constantly refilling our water, the service was excellent. The food was equally impressive. I highly recommend the lomo saltado, and the pasta served alongside it was surprisingly delicious. The Inca Balls were also a great appetizer with a light, crispy exterior and a savory filling. The drinks were solid as well and rounded out the experience nicely. My only complaint is that there are only two restrooms, and given how busy the restaurant was, they weren't as clean as I would have hoped. Overall, this is a lively spot with great food, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere that I'd happily return to.

Food selection was smaller, food was not worth the price and service was awful. We did not have a reservation but saw several tables open. They sat us near the welcome booth as we were a family of 5. We were given menus but not enough utensils and thought eventually we would get it along with the menus. There seem to be a huddle of employees in the entrance of booth and the waiter did not show up for another 5 minutes. Another 5 minutes passed and a different waitress showed up asking if we were ready. She did not tell us of any specials and we had to ask her the price of the bistec a lo pobre which she said was $26. We also asked her about other items we saw at the online menu but she said they weren't available. We decided to stay and order ceviche, lomo saltado, anticuchos and bistec a lo pobre. My husband ordered a beer and I ordered a chicha. There was no physical menu for children and she verbally told us the options. I ordered chicken tenders and fries for my toddler. She took our orders and food came out after 15 minutes. The meat was missing the sauce the menu said it came with, the ceviche tasted very lemony and the chicken tenders were more like chicken balls. The waitress never showed up with our drinks and we decided to just eat and go as the staff seemed to want to socialize more than tend to the customers. Once we were done, we asked for boxes and the check. Apparently, gratuity was already included and maybe thats why the service was so bad? She hardly came to check on us and to top it off she was surprised when we told her drinks never showed up to please take it off check. She didn't apologize or asked how the food was. She gave us boxes and off we left. Later, we realized the bistec a lo pobre was $28 instead of $26 and we had ordered two. I just wanted to leave at that point and not wait another 5 minutes for waitress to fix her mistake. The ad, as shown in picture, said all moms receive a flower but I guess having three kids with me wasn't enough for me to get one. We also noticed when we left their website said a party of 6 or more has gratuity included but we were a party of 5. What is shown online is very different than what you get in person and if the food was great I would gladly go back for at least takeout. Food is not worth it, the service for Mother's Day made it worst and the environment was mediocre at best. Prices were inconsistent and menu is not appealing. Not sure what happened here but changes should be made at least for Mother's Day.

Brutalist is a powerful movie with great acting and some stunning scenery shots (I especially loved the scenes shot in Venice and the mountains of Italy). But beware, this movie is nearly 4 hours long! I'm curious about the inclusion of "Café" in the theater's name. There's a refreshment bar downstairs and one upstairs, but I haven't seen a café. Maybe there's one hidden around a corner I don't know about. You can get your tickets at a kiosk downstairs. I'm not sure if you can even buy one from a staffer. Matinee prices end at 2:00pm. Regular prices as of this writing are $17.50/adult, $14.50/senior and $14/child. That's notably higher than at other theaters in the area. We saw Brutalist in theater #2. In theater #2, the best view is in the third row from the top. Nice large screen and a very good sound system. But an ADA alert: the elevator was out of order on our visit yesterday. So if you can't walk up an escalator or stairs, you couldn't see a movie! And to go back down, there is not an escalator (the escalator only goes up).

The deal included pizza, chicken tenders, chips, fries, funnel cake fries, salad, soda, water and some sparkling / champagne for a celebratory drink. All of that combined for 7 people it came out to $184.10. That was $26.3 a person. Which I think is pretty fair given prices of movie theaters with food would cost the same for food and activity. It seemed like there was a family running all the portions of the bowling ally. Due to this there was a wait for shoes which delayed our start time, and food coming out was when it was ready. But it didn't impact the fun we had. The ally itself had seen some better days. It's a very nostalgic feeling playing here and was only amped up after our session was ending when the neon lights came out (definitely will do a later bowl next time to experience this). All in all we have a good experience here! Was affordable, the kids had fun, the adults had a blast. We did go through a lot of our personal hand sanitizer. I would only recommend you bring some or some wipes if you are particular to touch (some of our kids and adults were). Other than that, this is a solid fun family activity for everyone and a great way to meet up with your church friends, neighbors, friends and family!
