If I were only voting for food, I would give this business a much more favorable rating. However, the ordering and dining parts of the experience simply do not allow a five star rating. I partook of one half dozen of the spicy garlic dry-bones and one half dozen of the original wet-bones. Both sets of wings were freshly cooked in 15 minutes; hot with the correct amount of spice; a unique taste for each choice: and while the chicken was still very moist, there wasn't a presence of grease or oil. Fries were of the crinkle cut variety, larger size, golden brown, and again very little oil. Rather than plain salt, the fries have a unique seasoning that is not quite Cajun yet feels very close to the Sabine Pass. In all, the food was fabulous. As mentioned earlier, the ordering and dining experience was not that great. In an ?effort? to make the menu easy to read, yet inexpensive, the owners have elected to post the menu on the windows. this makes the interior of the place seem secret and hidden.I doubt seriously if that is the intent, but this is the type of thing you see in many businesses...just because something convenient to the business, doesn't mean it's a good user-interface. They need to add a couple of large exterior trash cans to the front, dress-up the signage, remove all the crap from the windows, clean up the outside, and follow their slogan on the sign: 'where good food and good friends come together'. That might happen every so often, but I would imagine it's more takeout business plan coming together in this parking lot. If they were to leverage a special dipping sauce (ie, raisin' canes), a veritable gold mine would appear. I read a few reviews online before eating at the place, and I agree wholeheartedly: the food is really good. It is as good a wing joint as Buffalo wild wings or anything I've had in Texas--that's pretty damn good bones. I believe if these guys did a few small tweaks to the experience and the environment around the business, they would have an even greater following. Made my first visit to Hot Wings Heaven today, and boy was I glad. The rare opportunity occurred because we were travelling back home from Jackson, Ms. I had heard that a former co worker had opened a wing shop in Delhi, and knew since I was passing through I had to stop. After the old Jovial how the hell are you routine, we finally got down to business. I was amazed at the level of excellence demonstrated by his staff and his quality of food preparation. He fixed our 'requested' order of Garlic Parm wings, and then Blessed us with an assortment of his favorite wings. We were decently full from the recently consumed 'Fair Food', but the Aroma was calling us to see if his food lived up to his Hype. We pulled over and dived in. We discovered that the Garlic Parm wings were fried in a unique 'wet batter', that you don't see too often. The Lemon Pepper Wet was to die for, there was a Smokey Barbecue wing that was so good it made you forget about the others. According to his Menu, he offers over 15 Flavors of Wings, Burgers, Pork Chops, Fried Fish and Shrimp. I'm kind of glad that Hot Wings Heaven is 100 miles from home. This place is a diamond in the rough!!! I was spectacle at first just because it's an hole in the wall kind of place but after reviewing their menu and cheap prices I pulled the trigger and ordered a 12pc wing and man was I NOT disappointed. I recommend anybody that's near or just traveling through Delhi to try this place out. read more
