Private terraces off of each bedroom as well as a very large terrace off the main living area. Full kitchen with charcoal bbq (churrasqueira). Large sitting area. AMENITIES - one main pool and lounge area, off of the main bar. Tennis courts, snooker/pool table and two indoor jacuzzis. There is also a full restaurant with a complimentary continental breakfast. FOOD - we ordered food (calamari, shrimp, french fries and oysters) and drinks when we first arrived. Average at best and we ended up cancelling our dinner reservation (for 10 people) there after tasting the food. The best part? There are charcoal bbqs (churrasqueiras) in each Chale, so we went to the supermarket (about 25mins drive) and bought a bunch of food and drinks and had a great dinner in the Chale. Highly recommend doing this if you have the option. ROOMS - MOST. STAIRS. EVER. The website says nothing about this. Pictures on the website don't show this. It was seriously challenging. If you have any sort of difficulty with stairs, this is not the place for you. No handrails. Our parents found it extremely difficult and tended to want to just stay in the room because of the amount of and difficulty traversing the stairs to and from the rooms. Even our younger cousins that had a regular room mentioned the absurd amount of stairs. Big thank you to the staff, especially Vicente, for helping us with our luggage and groceries while we were there. Even the restaurant had a ton of stairs to get up to it. Aside from the stairs, the Chale itself was beautiful and spacious, even with a giant spider or two (seriously inspect your room/ bed as they are often inside your accommodation). OVERALL - if you have a Chale where you can cook for yourself and don't mind a serious stairs workout, the rooms and views are spectacular. - Not on the beach (15mins drive) - Access can be tricky if raining as roads are not paved - staff does NOT speak English - There is only one Chale Master (with private jacuzzi) so plan ahead if that is what you want

Although the pictures on the website make it look a little more luxurious then reality, it was still quite simple and clean. The staff was friendly and efficient. They were also helpful with calling a cab to get around. Located on the other side of the river, it was only 10-15 minutes away from Vila Germanica. Breakfast buffet was included but had only a couple limited hours in the morning. It included a variety of sweetened juices, coffee, tea bags, a variety of cereal, pastries, meat slices, cheese slices, fresh fruit and cake. The dining room was a lovely windowed patio that let in light and faced the riverside. Rooms had a simple bed, tv, night stands and an open closet near the door with a few hangers. The bathroom was quite small with a tiny window for ventilation and no counter space. The shower and rain worked fine and the no problems with plumbing. Our room faced the riverside on the top floor which was probably the most scenic. Apparently there was a gym next store and a game room which we didn't check out. Maybe next time. Good simple choice for those stopping in for Oktoberfest!

Before talking about this pousada, please note there are much nicer beaches and I wouldn't plan to stay here because of the Bombinhas beach - my fav beaches here are Conceição, Tainha and Quatro Ilhas. Back to this place, price/quality is really good!! The area has a jungle vibe and it is very pleasant! It has 2 pools, one indoor and one outdoor. The outdoor one has also a bar. The room we stayed was of a very good size and very clean. Staff was also extremely friendly and always helpful. Only pet peeve for me was that the breakfast was only as shown by them on their sites during the weekend. During the week the breakfast had a substantially smaller selection. This was certainly because they had way fewer guest in the weekdays. Pro tip if you stay is that you can still ask some of the items from the weekend tot he friendly staff and they will get it for you!

I came here last November as part of an Earthwatch expedition. We were well taken care of by Mr…read more Mario and his family. That included 3 square meals a day (consistent with our flexible schedule), comfortable rooms, lots of hot water, a pool, and even laundry service on our day off. Alcohol was available for purchase and as are some nice local souvenirs. My only downside was that I wasn't as dilligent as I should have been with my deet and the mosquitos. The Brazilian version of these little guys are quick and effective, especially to this fair skinned Iowan. It's nothing a little cream didn't take care of treatment wise, but I was still itching those bumps well into my trip to Iceland the next month. We were their to study birds on Mr. Mario's extensive property and next to a National Park. We were there to work, so we really only had 1 free day to explore greater Blumenau. But I'll have to say that this was that in terms of co-workers, the Pousada, and the family atmosphere, this was one of the most pleasurable stays I've ever had.

My friends and I got a table in the VIP section (Call ahead or email ahead to get a reservation). Tickets were going for about R$650/person at that time. Anyways, the club is gigantic. There are actually 3 clubs inside of the main club. The whole thing is outdoors so make sure you go on a non-rainy night. There are 2 smaller clubs which have a roof but the main club is located outside so you can see the stars while you are dancing away. Green Valley gets some of the best dj's in the world to come play for them. They are not open all of the time so make sure you check their website to see if they have a party that weekend. My group was given R$500 to spend from the club because of what we paid to get in. We got a bottle of vodka and a bottle of champagne to start off. By the end of the night, I had personally paid for 9 more bottles of champagne. Each time a bottle was brought to the table, it came with sparklers so everybody saw us. Oh. 1 bottle of champagne ran me about R$110. So my personal tab at the end of the night was over R$1000. But for around $500 USD for 10 bottles of champagne???? Impossible in the US. And at one of the top clubs in the world??? You couldn't ask for more. I ended up having security help me leave and walk out so that nobody would jump me as we left. Now I realize that not everybody goes as balls to the walls as I do but you can still have a great time. The club can fit around 8000 people and Armin Van Buren has stated that this is the best club in the world. If you want to come party and have a blast, Green Valley is the place to come!!!

Heat does not work, front desk said they don't have anything to do with the heat or AC so...I guess…read moreno heat then. Asked for extra pillows got pillows with no pillow cases gross. Handicapped room shower is not graded right so the bathroom floods and you have to use your feet and towels to swab the water toward the floor drain. Floor is slippery when wet which is not good. Rooms are small and noisy facing the front (McDonalds view). No kettle or coffee in the room. Decent breakfast - update the manager moved us to a different and much better room in the morning.
