We had a wonderful time at Hotel Arlenburg! The treatment we received from Rudolf and his family was so welcoming and warm, and so different from a normal hotel where you check in and you never see the same face again and you just feel like just a number to the check in person. Rudolf and his family are the perfect hosts. They are always there with a friendly smile and are always ready to help.
Breakfast was delicious and there is a pretty big spread! They have a cook making personal omelettes and you can also make your own soft boiled eggs (which I totally got a kick out of). They have a great selection of cheese, breads, fruit, jams, and museli. I looked forward to breakfast every morning. The hotel is located on the more quiet side of St. Anton but we didn't mind that at all. The main town area is just about a 15 minute walk away or you can take the #4 bus which stops right across from the hotel. The #4 only runs every half hour to a hour so just remember to check the bus schedule if you plan to take the bus. From the bahnhof, the hotel is only a 9-11 euro taxi ride. You can also buy your ski passes at the hotel reception so you don't have to wait in the ski pass line down at the lift. Also there is a path where you can ski to the Nasserin lift but do note that it isn't downhill the whole way so you will have to kind of cross country ski a little bit of the way but it beats walking your skis down :)
Dinner is also very good at Hotel Arlenburg. It is reasonably priced and very delicious. My husband and I both ordered steaks. Him, a braised beef steak, and mine was an ox steak and both were very good. I would also recommend ordering the Mozart balls for dessert - they are little balls of goodness filled with pistachio and a nutella kind of rum chocolate ball. Soo good!!
I would highly recommend staying at Hotel Arlenburg, they really make you feel like home there! We would definitely stay here again on our next trip!
The only con is that our internet connection was spotty in our room but that could have been just where our room was located. We had no issues with the internet in the main room where the snacks and drinks are served. read more
