The hotel is literally right outside Terminal 2, which is the domestic terminal, so if you're reading this in english you're probably flying out of Terminal 1. But dont worry, there is a bus right outside the Moxy that gets you there in like 10 minutes. Getting to MXP can be tricky. There are frequent train strikes, and yeah they usually announce them, but its still very possible you'll be in Milan and suddenly realize getting to MXP is a pain. MXP is not really that close to Milan. So if you have like an 8am flight and dont want to deal with a 30 min uber ride from wherever your staying, just stay at Moxy. I work in South Switzerland / Northern Lombari (think Como area) pretty often, and if your coming from there, you just cant get an early enough train to make an 8am flight. I've stayed at Moxy probably 10 times just for the convenience of waking up at 5:30am instead of something insane earlier, or worse finding out last minute the trains on strike and now you need to scramble for a ride.

If you have an early flight out of MXP, this hotel is a good place to stay. My mom and I booked a…read morefamily room the night before our international flights. We added on breakfast. We mainly liked how close it was to the airport and the free shuttle that ran every 15 minutes that was just across the street from the hotel. The family room had two twins and a queen bed. The beds were fine. The bathroom was huge, but the stand up shower was a bit awkward. There were no walls, just a curtain so it was easy to flood the bathroom floor if you weren't mindful. Breakfast that morning was fine. It had plenty of options though. You just give your breakfast card to the front desk. Do know that becauses you are near an airport it can get a bit loud. Thankfully if you have the air on in your room you are able to sorta mute the sound. The windows are pretty thick though. I am a light sleeper so thankfully with the air and how tired I was, we were able to sleep. I would pick this place for convenience!

We were only here one night, and it was a last-minute reservation after I started to feel a bit of…read moreanxiety that something would happen with our train from Verona to Milan the morning of our departure, and we'd miss our flight. (Let's be real: it's a valid concern here. As it was, we had to run between tracks at Milano Centrale to catch our regional connection, and just barely made it before the doors closed and it took off.) My chief complaint about this hotel is the lack of clear directions on how one finds the entrance. And look, it may have been sheer exhaustion or our vacation brains leading us to get lost - for several minutes - once we arrived, but I couldn't find anything on the airport's site, Marriott's site, or the map to pinpoint where, exactly, one entered the hotel. (For those curious, if you're taking the train in, make a left before you hit the big glass tunnel, you can't miss the doors and the sign. My husband mis-understood the instructions and led us on a merry (but not really "merry") chase through the car rental area before realizing we'd done a big ole donut and that we'd need help. Americans, amirite?!) The staff was friendly and helpful, which I've come to expect from Marriott employees the world over. The lobby was big and beautiful, and felt calm and welcoming - something I'm absolutely certain was planned because travel can be so stressful. My next observation is about the size of the hotel. It's not a complaint, more of a "whoo, didn't expect *that*!" because our room was up, over, sideways, into, out of, above and under. I kid you not, it took us almost 10 minutes to walk from the elevators to our room. My Bonvoy account is set up to request "room away from elevators" and did they ever deliver on that! It took us so long to get to our room that zero part of me wanted to leave it again until it was time to head to our gate. (But of course, the man needed dinner.) The room itself was spacious and comfortable, and the bed was just as cozy as I'd hoped. We got a good night's sleep, even though we got to bed late and had to wake up early for our flight. Was it an extravagance, booking a different hotel? Probably. Did it make a world of difference in our final day of travel? Absolutely. And I wouldn't have changed a thing.

Very convenient location, just steps from the train and airport. Walking the long hallway to our…read moreroom took longer than entering either of those. Checking in and out was a breeze. Quick and the staff member was friendly. The room was nice, clean, and quiet.

What a wonderful gem hidden in the suburbs of Milan!…read more I booked this room with travel points, so I was going for the best quality for the lowest points without really thinking about the quality. It was just a one night stay, which I very much regret now. The hotel is spotless. Every nook and cranny is squeaky clean. There's a small bar in the lobby with excellent cocktails, just the ticket after a day of travel. The restaurant is very pricey, so I didn't dine there. Not many others did, either. However, at breakfast, the restaurant is hopping, and the breakfast buffet is rich with pastries, hot dishes, and most importantly, all the espresso you can drink. Heavenly. Also of note for the cooler months, the patio is a beautiful garden area to eat the aforementioned breakfast. I was upgraded to a suite, and it was the perfect nook to relax in. The massive shower had a rainfall showerhead that actually had some pressure, making it one of the most relaxing experiences possible. I stayed in far longer than I normally do because it was so delightful. Checkout and check-in were both relaxing experiences. Additionally, there's a shopping center not far from the hotel for those without a car. It's a great spot for dinner and to pick up any necessary items or groceries. It's not a tourist location, but I found everything I needed and more.

This hotel claims a 4 star rating but I don't know where the other 3 stars came from. The hotel…read moreclerks are rude and unhelpful. The rooms are small; I felt very cramped. The safe didn't work either. The first day I was there, I put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door before I left for work. When I returned, the bed had been made and some of my clothes were missing. Clearly, the staff disregarded the sign. I called down to ask about my clothes and was told they were in the laundry and would be cleaned for 20 Euro. I explained that they disregarded the sign AND took my property without my permission. I could hardly believe it but the front desk argued with me and told me the situation was my fault. They continued to argue with me for about 5 minutes. After I hung up, I decided that Best Western lost my business permanently and they would deal with American Express when the fraudulent charges took place. To their credit, 5 minutes later, I was told I could come down stairs to get my clothes back and I would not be charged. Without a doubt, the employees were trying to take advantage of a foreigner and make an extra buck. Needless to say, I checked out the next day (they even argued and said we couldn't check out). Stay at the Sheraton by the airport. Excellent experience and it's not too far from Gallarate (short train ride away). There is also a Hilton Garden 3 miles from the BWJH. The Astoria hotel near the center of Gallarate is also another option and it's about 1 mile away from BWJH. Do NOT stay at the Best Western Jet Hotel!

Just one night here at the very end of our week-long jaunt through Northern Italy. This hotel…read moreworked out quite well as it is not too far from the airport (which we had to visit TWICE) and they have a full service restaurant. Self-service parking was free. I was hoping for an upgrade due to my Hilton Diamond status but we were assigned a regular room and that's okay. We actually got a single king bed as opposed to the double beds that I requested in the reservation. Thankfully, they were able to get housekeeping to prepare the proper room immediately and also provided a coupon for two free drinks while we waited. The prosecco went down quite nicely, thank you. Finally, a fully-enclosed shower. After hotels in Verona, Florence and Turin that all had the weird European half-enclosed shower, this was an unexpected plus. And despite the hotel being quite busy with a football/soccer team and at least two flight crews, the room was quiet and we got a good night's sleep. Dinner in the evening in the hotel bar was good. My traveling buddy had a cheeseburger that he enjoyed and I was too tired for all of that and just had a bowl of fries with mayo. Very European. In the morning, a full breakfast buffet with American, English and European style offerings. All well prepared and the staff were constantly clearing tables and resetting. Note: This hotel is near the Malpensa airport which is 30 miles from Milan city center and either an hour drive or an hour train to Milano Porta Garibaldi https://www.yelp.com/biz/milano-porta-garibaldi-milano-3. I arrived hangry after a 4 hour drive from South Tyrol. I arrived into to parking structure that was very small and only one available space. Try parking a SUV with the standard European narrow parking spaces with beams to hold up the ceiling with no adequate space to move in any direction. After checking in, I arrived to my smallish room. I checked out my map and no places to eat in close proximity or shopping for that matter. There was no way in hell I was going to get the car out of the parking garage again until I left for good. We ended up eating lunch at the hotel and was quite excited when I saw a burger on the menu. I wasn't excited anymore after eating that burger. It was terrible. On a positive note, I was given a discount on the meal for being a Hilton Honors members with status. We ended eating dinner at the hotel as well and the dinner was no good. Both the food and the service were bad. Again, we were given a discount for being Hilton Honors members with status. The hotel filled the need for a bed, a shower and WiFi. There was visible mold growing in the shower tiles. Check out was easy and fortunately I was able to get the car out of the parking garage without issue. Two stars.
