Everything about this hotel is first rate: the location, the service, the quarters, the restaurants and service. We were lucky enough to snag 4-nights on points because this is an IHG Hotel and we are IHG Spire Elite Members. The service here is extraordinary. Need tickets to a nearby Tango show? You'll get help at the front desk for bookings and the hotel will arrange for a hotel van to take you over and back. Need a ride to the port to take the high-speed catamaran from B.A. to Montivideo? No problem. The hotel will arrange for a taxi to take you there. Want to get out of the hotel and stop at a Starbucks, a cafe, a pharmacy, or just take a walk around? No worries. The hotel is smack-dab in middle of where all of the action is in the downtown B.A. area. Want to go out at night? The staff will caution you about security and help you make arrangements. Street security can be dodgy in B.A. at night. If you're in B.A., this is a great place to stay. Go and enjoy!

This Hilton has a great location. There is a square right outside and there are merchants selling…read moretheir wares on the weekends. It seems that everyday restaurants around the square setup seating so you can dine and enjoy the weather. There are people who will come up to you and try to sell you things, but ignore them and they will go away. The hotel also has a nicely decorated wine bar and restaurant on the lower level. It was never busy and the food and wine there was very good. And the location has cobblestone roads and there are cafes and wine shops galore! There are also an over abundance of gift shops so you can find whatever you may desire. On the negative side, the hotel room bathroom sometimes smelled of sewage (not great), the shower didn't drain well so you found yourself standing in a mini pool for your toes, and they didn't give any wash clothes. They have one sponge to bathe with, but one isn't quite enough when you have more than one person in the room with you. My wife and I love each other, but we tend not to want to share a bathing sponge! It's not quite like sharing a toothbrush but close enough! Overall, the good outweighed the bad, and it is a cool place to stay for a short trip.

They allowed an early checkin which was greatly appreciated as we arrived on international flight at 10am. Great to get a quick nap and rest up. I really wanted to love the hotel: It's quite beautiful as you enter and has a fantastic view from…read morethe roof. The price is right (Less than 90 USD for weekend nights) and the rooms are truly massive! Unfortunately, the furniture is not of good quality and shows much use, the walls are painted in cheap painted and full of hand prints, the bathroom was not adequately cleaned and smells as the toilet shares the floor/shower drain and pipe, and old windows with gaps cause the overbearing noise of the street and nearby clubs to keep you awake all night. The front desk speaks limited English (fine for us, may be an issue for others) and was cold/not polite. They provided no information just a room key and did not say thank you as we checked-in! The biggest issue, however, was the noise. The hotel has 3 abandoned buildings surrounding it. These become night clubs for local students on the weekend who break in and bring alcohol and stereo systems. From the 5th floor, noise echoed down the streets and alley ways and we only utilized the comfy bed for a few hours as Argentinians project their voices 100m at night when standing next to one another. I cannot recommend Moreno hotel, it's likely that it will serve you well on a Tuesday night when less people are out and about.

The room was large and and spacious. The room was also clean and still in good condition. I appreciated the complimentary smartwater bottles. There's also a rooftop pool open 11am-8pm. We called this hotel direct 24hrs in advance to ask if we could check in a couple of hours earlier than the 3pm 'standard' checkin & were told "to check on arrival & they would try accommodate" Well we have been sitting here along with some poor souls who have waited since 8am who were told the same lies as us. NOBODY was allowed to checkin until 3pm on the dot. Dozens & dozens of unhappy guests are now standing in-line with an estimate of about 2 hours for some of them to get their room key. For a supposed "luxury" hotel this is pathetic. I understand it's not a guarantee but I don't believe for a second that hundreds of rooms were not available until exactly 3pm. Customer satisfaction???? It's ZERO right now for all those in line I can tell you. I would not stay here for free in future there are far too many other hotels in Buenos Aires. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CHAIN OF HOTELS & their antiquated 'rules' ......

Our final hotel during our Argentina trip. I'm a bit torn about this hotel…read more. Pros: Beautiful interior design, very sexy Excellent breakfast buffet Great bar Great outdoor pool Great location Cons: It feels a bit like they're trying too hard to be a "sex hotel".. LOL The restaurant and spa prices are too pricey In the end, we had a comfortable stay. We're just not sold on the value of the hotel for the price of the stay.

Having traveled globally for over 20 years, I would call this a four-star hotel at best. The pros…read moreinclude the location and the lobby/pool/restaurant spaces. It's in a tourist-friendly part of town, easily walkable to restaurants and local attractions, and it has quite a lovely main entry, bar, and pool patio. But the hotel itself has major drawbacks both in service and room quality. I experienced a laissez-faire delay in my check-in (with my keys lying visible on one person's desk but no updates given to anyone else on staff, despite my repeated inquiries), which was not particularly appreciated after a long-haul journey, and the layout of my room was narrow and unpleasant. The bathroom was not a separate walled-off space but instead a glass cubicle within the main room, just feet from the bed and tight on space. Inside the bath cubicle, to achieve privacy it was necessary to close the door on the glass wall and then draw velvet curtains from both left and right. In using the shower, it was not possible to utilize the drying mat provided or reach a towel easily, as the glass door to the shower opened out toward the sink, hitting the mat and making it impossible to reach the towel hook. Drainage at the shower was also a little iffy. The toilet area involved yet another glass door, again making privacy an issue and further truncating the space, with all three glass doors opening in toward the sink. It was quite difficult to use the facilities at night without waking a partner in the room (since turning on a light in the glass-wall cubicle was not viable). The room itself had a bit of Old World charm -- a bit outdated in style and tired from wear but attractive overall despite missing basics such as larger nightstands, a clock, etc. While there are surely beautiful suites to be had at the Faena, the standard room falls short and, unfortunately, feels a bit substandard instead.

There are so many details that stand out at this property that make it next level. First, let me provide some context for our stay. We are part of an Antarctic Cruise departing from BA to Ushuaia. The cruise company; Seabourn has chosen this hotel as the meeting point and we are staying here one night before taking a bus to a charter flight. That being said, the property is stunning and the staff is very helpful. Check in was very easy and when we got to our suite in the 13th floor, we were in awe of the beautiful view of the Puerto Madero district as well as Parque Colón. The suite itself was very posh. The marble in the bathroom was the most opulent I had ever seen in a hotel suite. Worth of mention was also the softness of the bedsheets. These have to be my favorite of any hotel I've stayed in the world over. A very comfortable sleep was had. The amenities are great too- we tried the workout room which had a good selection of treadmills and bikes, plus amazing views of the conservation area. My only regret is only staying here one night, but if the opportunity ever presents itself to stay in BA again, I'd love to come back!
