A 20 minute comfortable, fun walk to the main square. The hotel is very comfortable. Great bed! Plenty of coffee amenities with an Ily coffee maker in the room. I got a free upgrade to a suite which was lovely. Sofa seating for 4. A spacious room with a large floor plan. The bathroom is really large with a deep bathtub which was super relaxing. The bathroom amenities were very nice, complete with extras like a fluffy bathrobe for use. Overall, a very comfortable place to stay with wonderful, welcoming staff. I recommend.

After a long travel day, the room was very comfortable and the staff was helpful. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Amenities included comfortable linens, small toiletries, and plush robes. The only downside we noticed in the room was a lack of USB outlets. This made plugging in our devices a bit tricker, so make sure you don't forget your adapters if traveling from the UK or US. The breakfast can be added to your room for €15 per person, which we found worth it for the variety of items provided! Breakfast includes a selection of breads and pastries, yogurt, potatoes, eggs, sausage, and charcuterie.

Fortunately we were only here for one night. Chose this place due to the location of being close to the airport. The plus side is the Concierge Madge was amazing. He is very kind, polite, sense of humor and should be working at a 5 star hotel anywhere other than this one. The free airport shuttle is a bonus. Lastly the front desk staff is able to request taxis for you while going into Bologna, etc with ease. Now for the nightmare; our room was hotter than the desert in the summer. We were hopeful that leaving the room key in the power slot and returning in hours we'd have a nice cool room. Nope! Still hot and maybe hotter! We called the front desk and had a man come who literally clicked off the AC and turned it back on. Then said it would be cool in one hour!? We informed him we did that same maneuver hours ago. He then asked us to stand on something to touch and feel the "cold air" coming out. It was not cold. The maids saw our doors open and said to call the front desk again saying they even knew that we shouldn't be cooking inside of our room. Long story short we got moved to another room and it wasn't 100% better but maybe 10 degrees better. Unfortunately in that room the mini fridge was not working. At this point it was comical. We called the front desk and of course they sent the same gentleman who opened the fridge and put his hand in. He said, "It's cold." I stared at him to my dismay as the waters were warm and my delicious pasta was now starting to smell and told him NO WAY is this refrigerator working properly. I even checked to see if it was plugged in. At that point we just wanted to check out and get home. This run down hotel needs millions of dollars to bring it up to the current speed of traveling. I snapped a pic of the 1960's-70's wall hair dryer. Lastly, if you have a bad back, do not stay in these beds. Springs creaking and hard as a mattress from your freshman college years is all I can say. Save your euros and book somewhere in Bologna.

It's about a 20 minute level walk to and from the train station (though a bus goes up the main road if you'd prefer and you can get a taxi right outside the hotel if you want too. We had a suite which was smaller than I had hoped it would be, but was really nicely appointed with a view of the clock tower directly across from the window and the main square to the right. And it was in fact two rooms so we could close the door between the bedroom and have the living room for late night writing or email when the other one of us was sleeping. For the most part it was a quiet room though there were films showing in the main square every night we were there and the sound could be heard until about midnight in our room which wasn't ideal but that was also about when we were going to sleep so it worked out. Breakfast was great and our favorite hotel breakfast in Italy. They brought a basket of gluten free items for my wife and the subsequent days we were there they remembered us and automatically brought the gluten free basket and remembered our coffee order as well. Felt like very personal service. The staff was really nice too and gave us good restaurant recommendations. We would definitely stay here again.

We sought an experience that would immerse us in the essence of the destination while providing easy access to the local attractions and food that make Bologna so captivating. Our choice of accommodation was a delightful junior suite, nestled in room 119, complete with its own charming balcony. As we had seen in the YouTube videos, each room was unique in its design and character, adding an element of surprise and intrigue. The bathroom was perfectly sized, providing a comfortable and convenient space for our needs. While I personally found the bed slightly firmer than my preference, it still offered a good night's sleep. My wife, although noting that it might be a tad too firm for her liking, considered it a minor quibble in the grand scheme of things. The balcony was a true highlight, adorned with a reclining chair, a pair of cozy chairs, and a lovely table. We were delighted to discover a retractable awning, which, although we figured out how to use it on our last day, served as a wonderful shield against both rain and the playful local birdlife. The thoughtful addition of the awning enhanced our enjoyment of the balcony, providing a comfortable space to relax and soak in the surroundings.Other features, Plenty storage, TV, with various channels, to include some English, and very high ceilings. From the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were instantly captivated by its stunning location nestled within a picturesque setting. It surpassed all our expectations, even those set by the enticing YouTube videos we had watched beforehand. The friendly staff members and available pamphlets, greeted us in the lobby and eagerly provided a wealth of information on nearby destinations and must-visit tourist sites. As we ventured through the hotel, we found ourselves immersed in a treasure trove of art, discovering intricate pieces adorning every corner and floor of the hotel. We marveled at the meticulously preserved portions of the property, especially the wooden beams, protected throughout. Each floor and room with its own historical significance, and took our time absorbing the stories they whispered by hopeful name, plates, and historical plaques, describing each item, an article. Our exploration of the hotel was nothing short of enchanting, leaving us with a profound appreciation for the thought and care that went into its design and preservation. The hotels efforts and preserving it's history is remarkable. The hotel's breakfast buffet was truly exceptional! The diverse array of fresh meats, teas, cheeses, and other Italian culinary delights must have made it a memorable dining experience. It's fantastic that the hotel's thoughtful design and attention to detail is impressive. Our enthusiasm and anticipation for our next visit is a testament to the hotel's quality and service. I look forward to a future stay.
