We assumed this was random glitch on our first visit, but when it happened again, 8 months later in a different room, there are clearly issues. The front desk denied any knowledge, which on the second trip seems highly unlikely. Makes me sad, as I liked the hotel, but getting woken up in the middle of night is a deal breaker.

The room was very good, I stayed in better places, but this one is up there. The worst experience was the check in; this might have been the slowest check in I ever experienced. Other than the check in, 4**** rounded up to 5 ***** for me, especially thanks to some serious breakfast options. For me, our stay was all bout a the Breakfast buffet. So many quality options to choose from. I don't remember having anything bad. In fact, we had to refrain from stuffing ourselves so we could eat lunch elsewhere. Other than that it's your standard 4 / 5 star hotel, very well maintained; clean, bright, inviting with concierge services. Then, there is the Executive lounge. It was my mistake booking through Priceline, I should have known better, but I certainly expected better service from a five star hotel. Management could care less about my predicament and consistently refused to make a phone call on my behalf. I spent an entire day on the phone with Priceline, who was willing to correct the situation, but unable to reach the appropriate staff As a result, I did not have the planned extra bedroom, Kitchenette or dining table (that I reserved and paid for!) and we had to make last minute arrangements. I have worked in hospitality for over ten years and can confirm that Hilton Bomonti is NOT hospitable.

We walked into the lobby and it was HOT and smelled like B.O bc they turn off the AC. Mind you that it was Aug and the outside temp was about 85 F. Two of our rooms had no AC and when we told the hotel manager he simply said we could have a fan. I think not! I told him that they are running a hotel and AC units should be checked on a daily basis. If one is not working it needs to be fixed ASAP esp since their website states the rooms are furnished with working AC units. They moved one of our rooms and the other room still had no AC. I think some of the people writing a review are from places where AC is not a big deal, but if your coming from Canada, the UK, or the US then AC is a BIG deal. Breakfast was decent the first day, but the second day half the items were missing and the other half seemed to be left overs from the first day. Not acceptable. We would have moved to another hotel the very first day after finding the AC was not working, but unfortunately they would not refund our money. The view from each room was horrible and we had 5 rooms. From one of the rooms you could see directly into the other buildings storage room. I wish I could upload pictures on here to warn people about the condition of each room. If you are OCD like me, the bathrooms were decent but still had mildew in the corners, sometimes you could smell the toilet when the person above you flushed. THE WORST EXP. I would invest a little more and stay are the Sura hotel aka Hagia sofia or at the white house hotel. the only pro was that the Blue mosque was walking distance, but any hotel you stay at in Sultanamet will be walking distance to the Blue Mosque.

The rooms were spotless and they had a room with beds for 5 that suited our family perfectly. They are literally minutes from the Blue Mosque and a five minute walk from the Grand Bizzarre. Rooms are cute and nicely appointed with little touches like their own branded soaps shampoo etc. Breakfast was included in our rate and served in a lovely setting on the roof. Not only is the hotel itself great (with great views) but the service is amazing. The person greeting the guests (I believe his name was fadel, I'm sorry if I got that wrong but it started with an F) is an amazing human being. He went out of his way not only to help us in his duties but also went above and beyond by using his personal phone to set us up around the place and get us good deals. He even sent one of the other employees to walk us 15 minutes out to one of the spots we were looking for. (All without expecting a tip which they both definitely deserved). Once you enter the hotel you are provided with Turkish tea and sweets which were a delight. The hotel is in a great area (walking distance from the two mosques) and close to really good restaurants and shops for anyone that wants to dine or shop close by.
