Had a wonderful stay at the Residence Inn Beltline location in Calgary. The room itself was very…read moreclean and comfortable which included a full kitchen, wonderful views and enough space to spread out and relax. The building also includes a nice gym, laundry room with a good number of washers and dryers, and even a first-come first-serve "office" room on the first floor which we ended up using for when we needed to take calls. Breakfast was included in the room rate and we really appreciated the quality and the options of what was available (from standard continental breakfast fare to waffle machines, eggs/bacon/sausage/tater totes, to oatmeal and congee). Coffee was not our favorite but the good news is there are plenty of wonderful cafe options outside the hotel. The hotel has both valet parking and self-parking options available. The self-parking option that is affiliated with the hotel is outdoor parking that is located a little distance away from the property. There is a second self-parking option (Indigo Neo) that is underground and part of the property but is not at all affiliated with the hotels. We chose the Indigo Neo option for convenience. Payment was license-plate based and managed online--the hotel staff were really great about emphasizing the need to remember to pay for the parking as Indigo Neo team are strict about ticketing those who don't pay. Service was 5+ stars. All of the team members from the front desk to the chef team and wait staff to the valet were all very kind, courteous and accommodating. The team was extremely proactive when they noticed that our in-room phone line had static and within minutes, maintenance was at our door. And when our trip had to be extended by one extra day due to an unexpected situation, the front desk team (Mercedes) was so patient and helpful in helping us navigate the situation and resolve it. At breakfast, I even heard the head chef agreeing to help a student sports team get breakfast and make it to their game on time by coming in earlier than usual. Amazing kindness by the whole team! Location is great with plenty of places to eat (pro-tip: Noble Pie is a block away and a must-try pizza spot) and shops that are walking distance away. Some blocks are rougher than others but nothing unexpected for a city. Great place for work or play. We look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Calgary!

Ms Puja did awesome by our family. Thanks for being so accommodating with the reservation.read more

But once you get the hang of it, not too bad. The other thing to note is the homeless population in the area. There are a lot. We were on a business trip and walked to a few places without being hassled, but you are going to see them. Just a fair warning, because again, we never had a problem. Other than that, the rooms are nice, with everything you would need if you were there for a long stay, including a kitchen with a full fridge and dishwasher. The bar has some good that was ok, nothing great and the service is slow. The only thing that was exceptional was the free breakfast, lots of options, including more of a dinner option like tikki masala or taco stuffs. A nice surprise and comfort!

Since it was the weekend, the rate was reasonable. At check-in, we were given free water bottles and our room was on the 9th floor. One of the elevators was out of order but the waits weren't long. I didn't know there was a restaurant so that was convenient for our dinner. That evening, we noticed that the bedsheet was coming off the bed and we tried to get it back on the corners but with no luck. The heater was blasting cold air. With these issues, we had someone come up. He explained the temperature control was missing a setting that would turn off the fan. He tried to put the bedding on but wasn't able to and said it was due to bedsheets shrinking in the wash. Should that get larger bedsheets to fit over the mattress? They moved us to another room which was better as the bedsheets didn't reveal the mattress. There was a sofa which was better for one person to watch TV. From the bed, the TV had to be turned and the position wasn't ideal for all viewpoints. We had a large fridge, stove top, cups, plates, and cutlery. The shower was nice but to turn it on, you would get splashed by the water so you may get a blast of cold water. Our room was above the train so if you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. The gym was nice but two of the ellipticals' displays didn't work. The pool and hot tub also looked nice but the water in the hot tub wasn't very hot and just one jet that was powerful and the rest didn't seem to work. I also saw a large bug on the pool deck but luckily it did not join me in the hot tub. The hotel restaurant was ok. It was busy for one server so the service wasn't excellent. They have happy hour specials so we did get a discount off of our drinks. The location was convenient to walk to the Saddledome and there's a Superstore a block away.

Room was spacious with comfortable linens and they got nice balcony (too cold to go outside in January). My bathroom even had a built-in TV in the mirror. First time seeing this in hotels! I'm obsessed with their invigor - mint shampoo and body wash by Skoah (a discontinued line but only available at partnered hotels). They also have free self parking lots underground and above ground surface lots. They are located close by Calgary Tower and are near plenty of restaurants and bars around the downtown area. H mart is only about 2 blocks over if you want Asian groceries. I also just read that they give complimentary bikes rentals on their website, which is amazing! The only con was that you have to reserve pool time and it's a $10 fee per person if you don't show up. It's a small pool and is just under 5 feet. They reserve a seating area for you, which is very nice but made it difficult to plan your day especially having 2 kids under 3yo.

The location is good, you are walking distance to a large indoor mall and a lot of restaurants + the Calgary tower. We booked an access category room for the M Club Lounge which was a highlight--the breakfast spread there was quite good with a variety of offerings of cooked items, cereal and baked goods. The staff were also very helpful throughout my stay. A few minor things to note: my room didn't come with robes or slippers, and the in-room coffee station used standard drip packs rather than espresso pods. I also experienced a fair amount of noise from an adjacent bar in the evening even though we were on the 23rd floor. Noise continued beyond 10pm and it was louder than the tv. However, the bed was comfortable, and the overall experience was still very positive. I would consider staying here again.

We were told that our reservation had been canceled because our name was not on the final list for the tour. What happened next was far beyond simple service. Rolanie took our tour information, confirmed that we should have a room and went to work assigning us one. She was pleasant and helpful and assured us that the mixup would be corrected. Once we had a room, Rodrico checked that our bags would be picked up in the morning and he determined that the tour company was planning to drop my 80 year old brother-in-law at a different hotel than us. Rodrico got on the phone and made sure that we would all be at the same hotel in Banff. He then made several calls for us to make sure that the Tour company hadn't made any other mistakes. All through the confusing process, Rolanie and Rodrico assured us that we were in good hands and we felt that everything would be straightened out because of them. I don't know what we would have done if they hadn't gone above and beyond normal procedures and helped us. They are the kind of employees that make Delta Downtown Calgary hotel a superior place to stay.
