Where does one start to review one of the best family run hotels we have ever stayed in? Our first impression was that this was indeed a luxurious hotel. The big plus for us was that the hotel is for adults only.
The initial welcome from the owner was most sincere as we were shown to our room on the third (top) floor. Everything about the room and the hotel was explained to us in detail. It oozed elegance, was spotlessly clean and well cared for.
The room was huge; with a distinct lounge area and bedroom area with a large balcony looking on to the breath-taking mountains. The bathroom was also of an excellent size complete with bath and a free-standing shower and vanity unit. The WC was in a separate room.
We stayed on a Bed & Breakfast basis but also had two dinners in the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was a splendid selection of cereals, fresh fruit, cold meats, cheeses, eggs, various types of bread and a large range of beverages. The dinner menu had a range of Tyrolean and International dishes and were beautifully cooked to perfection.
The owners, the Family Neuner were the most outstanding hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. For example, there were no tea making facilities in the room but when we asked, we were given a kettle and cups for our week long stay.
The spa is free for guests and is enormous, and like everything else in the hotel, is beautifully well kept. It has a jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, solarium and infra-red cabin; truly the place to unwind. Various types of massage and treatments are offered for a supplementary charge.
On our departure, we were presented with a delicious sponge cake which Frau Neuner had baked for our onward journey. We have stayed in many different hotels in the Tyrol over the years but this one is truly in a superior league of its own. read more
