I'm currently staying here, and it's been ok so far...
Positives: Friendly staff, good parking for the most part (large, gravel area in front of the main entrance and wraps around the grounds), and decent beds (not super comfortable, but sleep was possible). Breakfast is free, but average in terms of quality (they always over cook the scrambled eggs; pancake maker was nice though). Large rooms (though I can't speak for all rooms since there seems to be different buildings). Quick taxi ride to Siena ($12 Euros/10 minutes, approximately). Internet was free and consistently fast (I read in one review that it was not free, so maybe they changed their internet policy to be free).
Negatives: unpleasant tapestries/curtains (visually and in terms of cleanliness)... I'm almost positive there are blood stains on the bottom of one of the curtains as well as on the sheer curtain in the bathroom (small ones, but noticeable to someone like myself who might consider themselves a little OCD)... OCD or not, I'm sure most people would not care for these questionable spots... Also, the curtains are sheer, allowing everyone in the parking lot a nice view of the bathroom, making showering difficult. I had to duck and cover myself every time I had to get into the shower. Perhaps it's a cultural thing not to mind that everyone can see in? I'm asking in all seriousness because I don't want to criticize culture... That being said, I was able to finally figure out how to close the shutter, so that fixed my problem in the bathroom (they should probably just keep the bathroom shutters closed in a regular basis since they were difficult to manage).
All in all, I'm not the biggest fan of this hotel, but it's convenient for my stay here in Siena being that I have a car with me. read more
