So, I was having extended work stay in Glendive and I ate here a few times. In fact twice during…read morethe week. Maybe a Tuesday and Wednesday. Then on a Friday. The Tuesday I got a hamburger and fries. Service was great, food came out fast and hot. It was really good. The Wednesday I ate at the bar section. I got a chicken sandwich with fries. That was pretty good too. Chicken was a little dry, but not like eating a cracker. Service was excellent both days. I ate here on a Friday at around 6pm. I took a seat, it's basically first come first serve. I sat in the dining area. I waited maybe 5 minutes for the waitress and she gave me my menu. I knew what I was going to eat, so I ordered a beer and water. Waitress came back and I placed my order. I got a 12oz sirloin with mixed vegetables. I also got the soup of the day, clam chowder. I thought clam chowder in Montana, this might be risky. Haha. Got my beer then clam chowder. It turned out ok. Then I proceeded to wait ~40 minutes to get my dinner. I almost left. I would have paid for the beer and chowder. I could hear a lot of chatter out of the kitchen and not good chatter. The kitchen was backing up and food was delayed. The kitchen was out of order. I felt bad for the waitress cause she was running all over the place. It wasn't her fault. When I went there during the week, the food was served in 10-15 minutes tops. Friday it was 40 minutes. Service was good. I did notice and hear some complaints amongst other guests. I remained cool, even though it had been a long two weeks. I did tip well cause I know the waitress was completely overwhelmed. My one option to this place is to hire a busboy to clean the plates up instead of the waitress doing it.

I read a couple of yelp reviews that made it seem like a good restaurant, despite the rundown…read morecondition of the building. In fact, it was just awful -- no other way to describe it. The salad was not fresh - iceberg lettuce that we had to pick through. We ordered chicken fried chicken. It was dry. The mashed potatoes tasted better with lots of salt & pepper. The gravy was inedible. We were happy we had requested it be on the side. Each of us ate less than half our food. Our waitress was very nice. We appreciated the good service.

Tldr: Go here if you value good breakfast and good WiFi over cushy comfort…read more This is a nice enough hotel, but it's definitely meant for the single traveler. My husband and I came here, thinking it was a local hotel and not a chain, but it is a chain(albeit a dispersed one), specifically meant for railroad/construction employees (This website explains that: https://lodgingenterprises.com). The hotel rooms had a full kitchenette: full-size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and a two-burner little induction stove top. There was a pot and a pan, a single bowl, a single plate, a single set of silverware (fork, knife, spoon), and a single coffee cup. The bed was set up for one person (two pillow, stacked on top of each other in the middle of the bed, and there were only two bath towels ( the THINNEST towels I've ever experienced in a hotel, but adequate). That being said, it was nice enough. The breakfast was made-to-order (You get vouchers for two eggs, any style, hash browns, choice of sausage, bacon or ham, and choice of toast or pancake, plus coffee or tea). It's definitely better than your average hotel breakfast. And the WiFi was free, and reliable--we watched the latest Game Of Thrones on our laptop, and it didn't buffer at all. The blackout curtains were the best blackout curtains I've ever had in a hotel room, too. The bathtub was deeper than average, which made for a nice soak after a week of camping. The mattress was firm but not uncomfortable (and I have a back injury, so I'm particularly sensitive to that). They do have a AAA rate, but be sure to ask for it at the beginning, or they'll have to redo your reservation completely :) All in all, this hotel was serviceable, but not the local gem we were expecting after reading the existing Yelp reviews.

One of the worst stays of my LIFE!!! I DO NOT recommend this…read moreplace. Stay away. Bathroom was unsanitary. Enough towels for 3 nights. I was staying 5 so this was an issue. Room was NEVER serviced the entire 5 days. Had to ASK for towels after 3 days. The girl laughed at me when I told her that I am used to daily room servicing. The sheets were not changed the entire 5 day stay. Nor was the room vacuumed. I stay at hotels about 50 nights a year. This place is crap. I can not believe that I stayed here & was fooled by reviews & room pics on Booking.com. Shame on me for not doing a thorough research. The refrigerator in photos is big. Mine was tiny with no freezer. There was still filth in refrigerator from previous guests. The stove was absolutely filthy & disgusting. There was no lighting at all in kitchen area. It is pitch black in the evening. I had to use my phone flashlight to read microwave settings!!! The ice bucket had no plastic liner! I had to go to grocery store to buy plastic bags for ice. Best believe I was not using ice directly from filthy bucket.... Entire room felt grimy & not clean. The hotel "staff" in the restaurant is NOT ENGAGED!!! And does not communicate properly. (Need to "ask" for towels... wtf..... ppl need a clean one each day. No brainer) ....room card key expires after 2 days & needs to be reset?!?!? B.S. this is ludicrous. Had a note left by a "Rebecca" who evidently replaced towels after I had to ask for them. Said she put in for room to be cleaned & sheets changed. Never happened!!!!! What a surprise. And by the way, towel replenishment included ONE washcloth!!! WTF?!?!?! For 2 days. I made a huge mistake staying in this dump. Horrible & nightmare stay for my family memorial service event. Did a food order next door at restaurant. Took way too long. The poor girl working the grill was overwhelmed. I think that the issues here is understaffing of both facilities. Corporate issue. But I'm still angry with my stay. It was awful.

Reasonably priced for a quality stay…read more Wyndham appears to have converted Oak Tree Inn to a Baymont property. Everything was either new or recently renovated/modernized as of June 2018. The room was great, hands down. It was much better than expected for the price of a night. The shower/tub was large and I especially appreciated the quality bath towels. (adult-sized and thick) Daniel was very courteous at check-in (which is in the adjacent diner), despite me showing up after midnight and the system having lost record of my reservation. I did not stay for breakfast, but each night gives you a breakfast voucher at the diner. I definitely enjoyed my stay here and appreciated such a great room for a low price.
