And the double room is reasonably large. See below for my review from 2014. ---- The single room is small. In fact, this is the tiniest hotel room I've slept in through all my years of traveling. But the location in Naples simply cannot be beaten. It's in walking distance of the airport. It's next to the Hertz rental car place. And the room itself is fine for an overnight stay as long as you don't expect anything other than sleeping and washing up. And free wifi. And free parking. Don't expect luxury, but the convenience rocks.

We were too late for dinner but we were able to grab cocktails and snacks from the bar area overlooking the harbor and I couldn't have asked for a better view or service. My only regret is that we were not able to experience the spa or the breakfast but that was our own fault for not getting up earlier but the bed was just too comfortable and it had been an extremely exhausting day of traveling the two days prior. I hope to be able to experience it again the next time we are in Italy!

However, we were given complimentary access to the spa for two hours, for which we made an advanced reservation. Upon entering the spa, we were greeted and given a quick tour of the facilities. They had various water baths maintained at different temperatures, sauna and steam rooms, and a Turkish bath--we tried it all. They also had a relaxation lounge with complimentary water and tea. Since we were celebrating our honeymoon, we were upgraded to a room with a beautiful view of the water. We were very impressed with how clean the room was. On the occasion of our anniversary, the hotel also provided complimentary champagne. Everything about the room was perfect. We highly appreciated that the hotel staff went the extra mile to make us feel special. We also really liked the location of this hotel as it was close to all the happening areas. The next day, we had a complimentary breakfast at the hotel. They had a wide range of food options with a buffet service coupled with à la carte breakfast dishes. They offered different types of cheese, breads, and more. I got the avocado toast, and my husband got an omelette. The food was delicious and fresh, and we also tried a couple of Italian snacks, which were delightful. All in all, we had a great time. The hotel is located on the mountain high above the town of Amalfi. The views are spectacular. Each room has a balcony overlooking the sea, and waking up to this view every morning was delightful and relaxing. The room where we stayed was room 502 which has been recently renovated. The room was the perfect size for 2 of us, and included a bed, fridge, safe, mural, dresser, tea/coffee pot, bathroom with rain shower and a hand held shower, tub, toilet and bidet. There is a mini bar which we did not use except for bottled water (cost of 2 Euro). I know we had housekeepers, as our room was restocked and serviced beautifully daily, but the housekeepers were like ninjas. They were in and out but we never saw them. The front desk staff and bar/restaurant staff were so nice and friendly and humored us as we tried to speak a little bit of Italian. Each day included a delicious breakfast buffet and made to order eggs, pancakes, and coffees/tea/juices. We had a tablet placed in our room to order room service and communicate our needs to the staff. Included in the room is a very handy shuttle that runs throughout the day to take guests to Amalfi. Some local restaurants will send a driver to pick up and drop off guests who are dining with them. If you want to experience Amalfi without the noise and hustle and bustle then this hotel is a perfect fit!

Our previous hotel in Naples, as well as the one we stayed at in Sorrento, didn't have much floor space and we barely had space to open both our suitcases. We had to put at least one on the ground and step over it every time. So I really appreciated that I could walk around normally with both suitcases open. Hotel was clean overall, and location was nice. It was by the water so had a nice view. And there were a bunch of taxis parked next to it so when we had to take an early morning taxi to the airport, it arrived within a minute or so of the hotel "calling for a taxi" (which actually meant someone leaned out the door and waved one of them down). I'd stay here again.

And for a 4 star hotel. We would have expected to be able to adjust our own temperature The bathrooms were super cramped when there were both toilet and bidet. The door would not open all the way as it bumped against the toilet and we had to sandwich ourselves in between both to brush our teeth - with the added joy of the backs of our legs constantly bumping against either or both. Zero counter space. Nowhere to place towels for fear of it falling into either commode But given the location and the quiet room, we still have to rank this as A-OK

Mini-fridge and hot water kettle worked fine. Wifi was good. The room was definitely quiet. I would stay here again. Breakfast wasn't too fancy but it was good. Coffee needed serious help but the pastries and continental options were great. I had a five star experience at a three star hotel in a two star neighborhood. The rooms are also dirty--there was mold all over the granite in the shower and the bathroom floor. I was also very frustrated with housekeeping. They continuously asked if I wanted room service when I had hung up a "do not disturb" sign for the duration of my stay. On my last day, I removed the sign while I was packing. An hour before checkout, they threw open the door without knocking, hitting the suitcase I was packing and causing me to scream from being startled. The free breakfast was good, though. I was grateful for vegan croissants and soy milk. I do wish they had some kind of vegan protein upon request, but this was better than what some hotels offer. I may come back next time I'm in Naples, but I've definitely stayed in better hotels.

Impossible to get room service (just needed ice and asked to get it myself and would not let me) 3 elevator shafts to 3 different room blocks. One elevator was broken on each shaft, waited 30+ minutes just to get up to our room. You cannot use the pool freely, you have to book time slots which is a restriction I haven't experienced anywhere else. Thermostat is locked. You have to go down to the front desk to get them to change it. 2 out of 5 stars is generous.
