Every room has been completely and carefully renovated. My wife and I stayed here and visited Superior with a Local First Arizona tour group, and we loved it. While you can still see the historical features and beauty of the property, it does not require that you suffer by using antiquated facilities. The bathrooms are updated and spotless, the service is friendly and it's in the heart of everything going on in Superior - and just feet from a terrific canyon hiking trail!

I love this hotel. My husband and I got married on the roof and had our reception in the tea room and were treated like royalty. Everyone from the owner to the wait staff are the kindest people and treat you like family. I couldn't have asked for a better place to begin our new lives together. The views from the roof are spectacular with the cliffs surrounding this historic building. The building has been meticulously restored and still a has modern feel to it. The bathtubs are nice and long and you will just feel like you're at home. Such a beautiful place to retreat to and feel like you're in a simpler time. Thank you to everyone who made our day and our stay s here so perfect

Do you wanna run with the dog to go?…read more Charge out and do your run with your burro and have a good time perhaps with the wine skin to give you extra energy It's great fun for all and a wonderful picture experience I enjoyed watching the runners well we had pizza and wine at the restaurant It's a one time experience and there's a few parks and recreational areas for outdoor people in the area, such as birdwatching Make sure to plot your trip as it's quite an enjoyable drive especially if you have somebody else driving

This was our first visit to the annual Superior Burro Run. As the story goes, when miners left the…read morearea, they left all of their pack burros behind, creating an over-abundance of burros in the area. The Superior Chamber created this fun festival in order to bring awareness, and to adopt out burros. There were raffles, BLM burro adoptions, entertainment, a beer garden and food vendors. Local shops along Main Street opened to those in attendance, with lots of burro themed items! The roads were closed to traffic, and of course, there were the races! Burros and their human runners participated in a 6 mile or a 12 mile course. What great fanfare as they rounded the bend to the finish line, where Teton Ken waved the finishing flag! Speaking of our pal Teton, he and his burro Mary were in attendance with their Burro Mobile, letting kids and adults alike join him in this little "car" and take photos. There weren't as many vendors as we had hoped. Food was a bit scarce, and the local coffee shop was completely overrun. They did a great job of trying to keep up, but there were so many people and not enough food vendors. I had also hoped for a few more local artisans. There was a pottery tent, candles and chotchkies, but not much else. Overall, this was a really fun local event, and I was glad to come support my friend, as well as the burros. The mini ones were so darned cute! I hope that next year is bigger and better for the town of Superior.
