The hotel is basically located near some exclusive communities, so you know it will be swanky, and when you pull up you'll see why. Parking is relatively easy (which is good), there's a small playground in front for kids. The lobby is spacious, with plenty of seating, open views, and was maintained well. There's a nice bar area, beautiful restaurant, very impressive space. I was able to get a nice ocean facing view - however, it's like a 5 min walk to get to your room as I was one of the outermost wing. You don't realize how big this hotel is until you see it in person. The room was enormous, with plenty of seating, nice outdoor sitting area, huge bed, great bathroom. Too bad I was only there one night, could have stayed multiple days here. Also - amazing breakfast. Lots of great pastries, fruit, eggs cooked to order, and pastel de natas. Although the rooms themselves were small they had adequate space and the WiFi signal was great for my son's academic and streaming needs. For convenience there is a bar and restaurant on the premises. Breakfast was typical Portuguese style and I found it to be just "okay" compared to our last hotel in Lisbon. Dinner was also just "okay" but the presentation was nice and great for convenience factor.

They do offer a breakfast with a room, which is very good breakfast. Fresh bread, eggs, cheese, ones, lots of different types of fruit, and plenty of coffee!

Our tour guide dropped us off at Av. da Republica, right by the beach, and let us know that we had about an hour and a half for lunch. We were visiting during the off-season, so many restaurants and businesses were closed. Before leaving the van, we asked her if she could recommend a good restaurant, and she pointed to Adega Océano. The restaurant is on the first floor of what I believe is a hotel. The dining area is large, can seat many people, and is well-kept and organized. Our server was a tall gentleman in his forties who quickly set us up and got us going. I started with the Portuguese vegetable soup and opted for their grilled salmon for my main course. My significant other ordered an appetizer I do not recall (because I did not shoot a photo of it!) and grilled swordfish. We also ordered a bottle of Portuguese green wine (recommended by our server) to accompany our meal. Everything we had was fresh and tasty. Our server was very attentive and promptly served what we asked for. He was also very good at answering the questions we had. My partner wanted to check a few stores, so she finished quickly and left me alone. So I decided to indulge myself and order a dessert with my coffee. I chose a slice of cake that came with cherries on top! It was cheesecake, but I am not 100% sure. Not having a good connection, I got lazy and did not keep good notes! The entire hotel is very clean. Only issue I experienced was that the hotel routinely gets busloads of older tourists. And they attack the breakfast buffet like a well-organized team of ninjas. So they are fairly slow moving until 7 AM. From 7 to 7:45 they are lightning fast. Avoid the breakfast buffet until 8 or so if you can.
