Not just the summer, as I write this a thunderstorm rages in the ocean across the street. I am a steam room, (Turkish bath), aficionado, theirs is the best so far, (compare to Four Seasons Biltmore Santa Barbara). The staff was matchless throughout the hotel. The breakfast was more than expected, They quickly learned how I liked my coffee and would bring it to me as I arrived, much to my delight. The food was more $ than I expected, however - it was less $ than it should have been, our best meal in Italy. The con: The spa needed some mild training, (I think if my Italian was better or their English was a piccolo better it would have been easier, but the facility was impressive. Expect function over form.

For examples , the tv on the bedroom doesn't work properly, the entrance door handle was loose for a long time until broke done completely. We went to the pool and order coffee and the biggest surprise ( never in other 5 starts hotel uraound the world) after we give the bar tender the room number we had to sign first before the coffe was serve. Just doesn't make any sense. For the car parking we were told $29 per day. On the bill was $39 per day, the explanation was that the car was inside in the parking, not outside. That's okay if we were told up front and we can deside if he have choice.

Most spoke acceptable English for hotel workers. Very pleasant to deal with. Our room had a good sized bedroom and a setting room with a couch. All the walls and most of the ceiling had murals on them. Bathroom had a separate shower and a whirlpool bathtub. Everything looked new and very clean. The breakfast spread was the largest I have seen in years. There were oranges to make fresh juice. A juicer to juice fresh vegetables. Cook your own soft or hard boiled eggs. Fruit, cheese, sweets, yogurt, coffee ect. I am sure I have missed some breakfast items. The only thing missing was fish that you find in Northern European breakfasts. In the afternoon you could get coffee or tea by asking. The one time I did this they did not charge me and I do not know if they charged the travel company. The only slightly negative item was our room overlooked a kitchen that made noise late into the night. With the window closed it was fine.

Building is old what is normal in Italy, rooms are renovated. We had a new bathroom with a great shelf under the shower (not so obvious for most of the hotels). The stuff is extremely nice and helpful speaking Italian, English, French. Hotel has a small patio for eating outside. For me it's more like bed and breakfast but we have nothing to complain about.

It'll be on the right-hand side. No elevators, but you should be prepared for Cinque Terre elevation gain anyways. Rooms were clean and service was friendly. Bathroom layout was good. I think there are only 13 rooms, so reserve early if you want to stay here. You can open your window in the morning and feel the morning air. I didn't opt for the breakfast, but whatever they were baking in the morning smelled fantastic.

The staff are really lively (and very nice) and the hotel is quite well positioned to get to anywhere in Levanto and only a short 7-8 minute walk to the head of the hiking trail to get to Monterosso and the rest of the cinque Terrà ) though I personally recommended the train as it's a 3 hour hike one way!!! The Oasi is actually on a quiet sidestreet but there's an alley that will feed you right onto one of the main thoroughfares in Levanto. We loved the open patios that each room opened up onto ( ground floor) they were great to sit a people watch or party with your neighbors. If you need to be shit in they ubiquitous Italian shutters will keep you safe and dark for sure. They have a great breakfast where you can even custom order dishes and in the room fridge there is even private hotel label beer!! It's also available at the desk/bar and it's really good!!! Bottom line is whenever I'm in Levanto I'm staying at the Oasi!!

They provide free bicycles which made our trip really fun and made getting around the city so easy. We booked a family room which was two joined rooms with a private shared hall and bath. This meant our children (ages 15 and 11) could be in their room watching MTV while we had a bit of quiet. Free parking, wifi and breakfast. We will recommend this hotel to everyone. All around lovely stay and a great value.

The young owners are extremely helpful and welcoming. They gave us great tips on local aperitivo bars. All rooms have private bathroom, tv and minibar. Breakfast is huge and delicious. No lifts back then and none now but dont let that bother you at all as its only 1 floor up. The room was airy and spacious tastfully decorated, clean and complete with tv, mini bar and lovely en suite. Location is wonderful, only 2 mins walk to the Guinigi Tower and less to the main shopping street. Despite its central location the hotel was quiet and relaxing. Now on to the best bit, if you like eggs you will love this place. How do you like them? Just say and they will do them for you, alongside breakfast buffet of cereal, breads, meats, fresh fruit and the best coffee in Lucca. We are going back asap and hope to many times over.
