We had a great stay at this hotel! It's a beautiful old monastery that has been converted into a hotel, which gives it a lot of character and charm. Because of its size and layout, it felt a little like a maze when we first arrived, but once we got our bearings, we really enjoyed exploring the property.
The hotel has great amenities, including a pool, bar, and restaurant on-site. One of the biggest highlights is the location--right in the heart of Puerto--making it easy to walk to countless restaurants, shops, and places to relax. Another convenient feature is the nearby ferry service, which makes day trips to Cádiz or Rota incredibly easy.
A huge plus, especially during the warmer months, was the air conditioning. It worked extremely well and kept the room nice and cold, which made our stay much more comfortable after long days of exploring.
Parking can be a bit challenging. The hotel's parking lot is very small and can be difficult to maneuver, so if you're renting a car, a smaller vehicle is definitely recommended. There is street parking available, but depending on the time of day, it can fill up quickly. There are also a couple of free parking lots within walking distance, as well as paid parking options nearby.
The staff were all very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Check-in and check-out were both quick and easy.
A couple of minor drawbacks: the outlets in our room were located on the opposite side of the room from the bed. It wasn't a major issue, but it was a little inconvenient since I rely on my phone alarm and prefer to keep it close by at night. We were also a bit disappointed that there wasn't a gym on the property, though that wasn't a dealbreaker for our stay.
Overall, this is a unique and beautiful hotel in an excellent location with plenty of charm. The fourth star goes to the air conditioning--it was ice cold and absolutely appreciated during the Spanish summer! read more
