Falling in love with Prague everyday... but not with this hotel. Hotel is very close to the mall, to the tram and subway (5minute walk) making it very easy to go/access the attractions of Prague. Rooms were very hot (typical European air-condition). Rooms were semi-old. Bathroom is NOT elderly friendly and not recommended if you are traveling with anybody older. We had the pleasure of staying here for 9 days. The hotel lobby is beautiful and smelled like a perfume filled the air. The workout room which also has a steam room with limited hours we didn't get to use is beautiful. The breakfast room was very inviting and filled with others going to the Prague 2024 special convention declare the good news. They have an omelette station as well as boiled and scrambled eggs and tons of sides, breads, desserts, deli meats seeds and my favorite was the hot teas, acacia honey and the daily hot soups. I added the cilantro to the soup. We are from florida so I'm cold here and the soup kept me warm. The service in breakfast room was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. Empty containers were refilled promptly. The hotel has the option of passing on room service for a free drink voucher. If you're able to reuse your one towel then I suggest you take it. Room service was not the best. The a/c has a dusty smell. The shower is difficult to get into unless you're very tall. Some corners of the room were not clean on arrival and the same until departure. One other issue. This hotel is located within walking distance to wonderful eateries, train, tram and easy to go anywhere. The only issue is that It is located in a spot where to leave you must walk down quite the slippery little stones and coming uphill is even more difficult. Had a chance to spend a few days in this hotel while visiting Prague and truthfully, it has its good and bad aspects so I will just list them out and you can make your own opinion. Pros: Great location, close to transportation, old town, and plenty of shops and restaurants. Staff was very helpful when needed Breakfast was fresh, and they kept the buffet stocked. Cons: My biggest issue was the cleanliness. Housekeeping just didn't seem to have a clue. The box of tissues ran out rather than put a new one there would just leave one on the counter. The room was very dusty. Getting a towel was very difficult. Just not what I'm really used to what should be a decent hotel. read more

This hotel is an amazing find! Our friend used to work here and booked this for us. Everything was absolutely perfect. We were che led in by Richard who did all the pre paperwork for us and made our check in very fast and easy. We got in pretty late and we're tired and he greeted us with a warm smile and made check in a breeze! The hotel has amazing breakfast lots of options and delicious. The rooms are huge and comfortable and the staff is so very pleasant. They treated us so well and I highly highly recommend this hotel and Richard! This hotel is pretty unique mostly because of the cool incline which, in itself, is a hidden attraction. I stayed here for three nights and didn't deal with the staff too much because we were out sightseeing from morning to night. If you're in Prague and you don't do the same, shame on you. Elevator floor numbering isn't obvious at first, at least not to me, but no biggie. Europe is cool and I appreciate all of their differences from the US. Our room was a double and it was big enough for two adults to share. It was clean and served its purpose. My biggest complaint is that my bedside lamp flickered with falling glow of what looked like a melting bulb. It took out all of the power in our room, including the rest room! So at 5:30 am we opened the door for hall light as we scrambled to get ready for our flight. Light from our phones wasn't quite enough but luckily we packed before we went to sleep. The front desk clerk said we should have called them but we didn't factor in a maintenance visit into our rushed morning routine. The incline to their conference center should be "czeched" (had to!) out, especially at night from their terrace so you can see it all lit up. I added a photo for reference. The view up there is awesome! We lucked out with November weather in the 60's. We didn't hang out up there but I recommend chilling up there for the view and peace and quiet because true hotel is a little off the beaten path. The walk to the tram station we used was about five blocks away but I believe one of the buses goes in that area. Along the way there are some restaurants and shopping. The breakfast was plentiful and well attended. Here's a hint... Don't have the hotel call you a cab. Instead, use the taxify app. The cab cost was close to $40. Taxify was $11! read more

From My understanding this is the Movenpick Hotel that I have stayed at twice during my 2 trips to prague in the past 4 years. I made sure of this because I remember eating breakfast on the rooftop overlooking the castle and the rest of prague. I got $90 a night on priceline which is why I chose this place :) Seems like a good enough reason. As with many places that you are not a native sometimes you have to rely on information given to you by the hotel concierge. In this case that was a good idea because they know what places to go to during the day and at night. Although many people will tell you who dont live in Prague that you should stay in a hotel in the city center in the old town or new town ( nove mesto and stare mesto in Czech) , this is pretty accessible to all of those places. On the tram that you can get by walking a few blocks away from this hotel it will take you ten minutes to get to the city center that way. Also one should have the experience traveling the way the locals travel. Since this is prague this is not by donkey but would include the train. The train station is two blocks away on nadrazni street and is like two stops away from The Andel Train station which was built by the russians between 1977- 1985. This one is a few blocks from Wenceslas Square. Anyways the 2nd best part of this hotel is that they have a french style cafe that serves espresso and other caffeinated crap like that. The best part is the breakfast on the upper floor which you have to get to via cable car. Now this breakfast will cost you the equivalent of upwards of $20 or so. It is well worth it. is a swiss style buffet that has like 5 -6 types of lox, many types of cereal, eggs and other meat items. It's an awesome way to start your day. They also serve dinner and lunch but you want to go somewhere else and experience the restaurants, right ? Good people. by all means stay here. This is where I will stay on my third visit for sure. read more

I had an excellent stay at NH Prague City as an American. Though this hotel is outside of the tourist zone, (Old Town Square), it's not a bad walk to and from most of the attractions. It's also very large, has it's own cable-car tram to the top level that's worth a ride for fun, two restaurants and a bar. (As well as other amenities I did not partake in, such as a fitness center.) My stay was for an entire week. The well serviced clean rooms are large, mine had excellent water pressure and as much hot water as one could ask for. Pro-tip: be sure to take a photo of the taxi rates on the wall of the NH door and compare them to whatever the taxi driver quotes you, then show the photo to them if they try to over charge you! (Or avoid taxis all together and use Uber.) The concierge was always polite and very helpful. The breakfast buffet boasts a large spread and variety of foods to get you through a long day of cobblestone marching, and the NH has several restaurants, a large mall, Starbucks, and several grocery stores nearby. (Ask for the Tesco - just down the street hidden in a mall of all places.) Cheers! read more

I was really impressed with this hotel! I would definitely stay here again the next time I come to visit Prague. The hotel is actually in two sections - the lower section and the executive upper section. You can take a cable car from the lower section to the upper section. My room was in the lower section and was fairly large for a European hotel room. The beds were already placed together to form one king sized bed - a rarity as I always have to ask to get my beds moved together. My initial concern with the hotel is that it is not in the center of town - close to Old Town or New Town. It's across the river. The concierge did a great job of showing me where I could get the metro train to head into town (a short 5 minute walk) or a tram (also 5 minute walk). The closest metro station is the Andel yellow line station. Despite the distance on a map, I actually ended up walking to Old Town from the hotel and back several times during my stay. It's only a 40 minute walk (about 2 miles) and is mostly along the river. I highly recommend giving it a try at least once during your stay. The area around the Andel metro station is full of modern shopping areas if that happens to float your boat. Free wi-fi at the hotel! They actually have multiple wi-fi connections depending on your floor location. This allows for excellent signal strength. read more

NH hotel is like no other hotel at Prague. Which other hotel is having a small funicular connecting the bottom building with the one on the top of the hill. Which other hotel has rooms leading to your own private garden? The hotel is generously nested on the hill and surrounded by lush greenery. I just loved the opulent breakfast in Il Giardino restaurant. Forget stale eggs, tired tomatoes or hardrock bread. This breakfast looks more like farmers market and the cook can briskly prepare the omelette in front of you, if you wish. The choice of food is overwhelming and the view is to die for. Too bad it was too cold to eat outside. Try to book the rooms in the upper building. They are a bit more pricey but the secluded luxury is worth it. The fitness room was rather small (for such a large hotel), but nice tennis courts behind the hotel are great feature you wouldn't expect at a city hotel. I must come back here! read more

*****CAUTION***** Was here with a large touring group. Hotel is nice, but the front desk staff is not. Night guy at desk obviously doesn't like people from U.S., and was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. He went out of his way to be rude. With all of the hotels in the city, the only reason you would stay here is because it's very cheap and you're not used to staying in better hotels. NEVER AGAIN !! Bathroom floor was not swept and carpet was not vacuumed during three night stay. VERY SAD !!!!!!!! read more

The hotel is central but the location doesnt look very beautiful. In this hotel you here sirenes every half an hour and sometimes you can hear dogs from the neighboorhoud. Furthermore, you can hear people on the floor when you are in your room. Most of the staff is unfriendly. If you meet someone from the hotel on the floor, they didnt greet or wish a good morning. As we checked out, the receptionist didnt say goodbye or anything. The only positiv was the rooms were ok. read more

I stayed here for 3 nights on my recent trip to Prague. It's located in district 5 which is only about 4 stops on the yellow line from Old Town Square in District 1. The Tube is located about 3 blocks away and there is a major shopping and dining area nearby. The hotel itself is undergoing renovations so some rooms are updated but others are not. I managed to snag an updated room. They have many of the amenities of a normal hotel but offer a great concierge service. The concierge will not only suggest places to see/eat and things to do in the area, but they will book your table/event/ride/tour for you. The hotel is clean and offers a great complimentary breakfast daily. The only drawbacks I found during my stay were the sleeping accomodations. The bed was very thin and you could definitely feel the box support underneath. The pillows also offered limited support and I needed at least four stacked on top of one another to somewhat support my head. After a tiring day of exploring, a comfortable sleep is definitely needed. Overall, the service was phenomenal and the location (for the price) is unbeatable. I would stay here again, but hopefully they invest in some decent pillows soon. read more
