Despite it's claim to be a 4 star hotel you would be very hard pressed to find any similarities between this establishment and a genuine 4 star hotel. For starters you can forget about the basics like a bath robe, a in room coffee maker (if you do want coffee in your room your forced to drink from plastic cups), ice bucket, even pay per view. The towels are scratchy and in short supply. There are no bell hops to help with baggage, and the concierge can only offer up a befuddled look when pressed to explain the woeful lack of amenities. It's obvious that the definition of 4 star refinery has yet to be explained to the proprietors of the Olympia, and what ever governing body that originally granted them the title of 4 stars should itself be stripped of any power of accreditation. In order that this review does not come across as a case of sour grapes, I will go so far to say that the Olympia does have one, and I do mean only one good thing going for it, the beads are most comfortable and offer a good nights sleep. But that alone does NOT a 4 star hotel make. The Olympia has more in common with a 2 star flophouse than a genuine 4 star hotel and even a 2 star dump has in room coffee. read more
