Very pleasant hotel not far from the southeast entrance to the Pompeii ruins. Outdoor lobby lounge…read moreoff the street shaded by many potted lemon trees of different varieties. Our room was amply sized with a very comfortable bed (queen size plus?) with a balcony big enough for two chairs and a table. Good sized bathroom with a large walking shower. Nice sized armoire with plenty of hangers. Slippers and fluffy robes provide along with cash minibar. All finishing are in an updated modern style with polished stone floor and walls, as well as blonde woods. Breakfast included. Very nice. Staff attentive and helpful. Very easy access to the Pompeii ruins. Many shops and restaurant on the street within easy walking distance of the hotel lobby. Good WiFi too. Highly recommend you check out the Hotel Forum if stay in Pompeii Couldn't post a separate review for the restaurant, so here goes. We ate in the outdoor seating area in the outdoor lobby. Food was ultra fresh and tasty. First night we shared the "Mediterranean platter. Caprese with prosciutto and melon. Very ample portions. We enjoyed the experience so much we ate dinner there our second night. We shared a ceasar salad and a margarita pizza. Very fresh and tasty, again with ample portions. Included breakfast in the downstairs inside seating area was of ample varieties of traditional breakfast fair and yummy pastries. Breakfast served from 7:30-10:30am allowing time for those sleeping in.

The staff is friendly, they offer a very nice breakfast included with the room. It is the best hotel to stay at while visit Pompeii. It is also close to one of the entrances to see the Pompeii ruins. Lots of restaurants near by and even a nice grocery store. In the evening they offer a happy hour with snacks as well. There is a beautiful dining area in the lemon garden, weather permitting. Lots of lemon trees on the property. The only negative thing is the internet and phone reception it is very poor.

Every since I was a little kid watching the History Channel like a total nerd, it has been my dream…read moreto see Pompeii. So, when we booked a summer trip to Italy, there was no question that Pompeii was a must see. Booking a hotel was easy because there's really one property with great reviews and that's Hotel Diana. For 75 Euros a night, the price was just right. Due to some absurd travel delays, we ended up rolling in on the last train of the night from Naples. . . and it, apparently, went to the wrong train station in town. We called the hotel at 11 PM and explained our problem: the train station was now closed, there were no taxis, and we were the only ones there. The front desk clerk called us a taxi, who showed up shortly and gave us a ride. I didn't realize how wrong the wrong train station was until we drove over 20 minutes just to get to the property. For the record, the "right" train station is literally half a block from the hotel. Oops! Make sure you're choochooing into the right place, friends. When we got there, we were checked in promptly and given keys to our room. The room is sort of garishly decorated, but whatever. It was clean, it was a good size, and it had an ice cold ac. The bathroom was a good size and very clean. Despite our late arrival, the front desk agent pointed us to a pizza place down the street that was still open. Can I tell you? Literally the best pizza I have ever had. Phenomenal! And like, half a block from the hotel. Pizzeria Alleria, check them out. So good we went back twice. We slept well, grabbed the free breakfast in the morning (which was fine), and headed to Pompeii. Now, for some reason, I thought the Hotel Diana was right next to Pompeii, but it is not. You've got to walk about 10 minutes, which isn't much. Well, it's supposed to be 10 minutes, but we made a wrong turn and it took us quite a bit longer than it should have. Oops. There also seemed to be a rather happening hot spot right down the street from the hotel, so if that's your thing, that's a plus. Check out was easy and they helped us figure out the train schedule, which was much appreciated. All in all, I would definitely suggest Hotel Diana. It's got a great location, friendly staff, and great pricing.

While it might not be the Ritz-Carlton it certainly will make you feel like it is. Best…read morecappuccinos I've ever had in Italy! Great service. Ice cold AC. Spotless clean! My only suggestion would be a little bit more soap and shampoo and adding conditioner. But they are so hospitable and everything is so perfect they are getting five stars anyway!! This was the last stop for our Pompeii tour group, and something we didn't remember was included,…read morehonestly. We pulled up after a long day of speed-walking through the ruins of Pompeii, hot, sweaty and a bit dusty, to be seated at these really pretty yet somehow cramped tables. The setup was nice and the staff was friendly. They made it a point of making an announcement ahead of every bottle they poured, but we were spread out and the waters' voices didn't really carry. We were greeted with a bubbly and individual charcuterie boards, with more meats than cheeses. The main was a small serving of big tubed pasta (like rigatoni, but bigger...a *bigatoni*, if you will...ha, see what I did there? BIGatoni. Hey, where are you going) in a red sauce. The pasta was super al dente, even by Italy's standards. The sauce was zesty and a little loose. Dessert was a kind of trifle, with fresh fruit and sweet cream in a jar. Each course was paired with a wine, naturally. The wines were good and flavorful, and everyone at the table enjoyed the pairings. We were given a bit of time once the meal was finished to walk the grounds, and I can see how this property would be popular for parties, galas and weddings.

We stayed here impromptu and this was absolutely the highlight of our vacation. I highly recommend…read morebooking this. The staff are incredibly friendly, prices are reasonable, and you stay at a beautiful resort with horses, chickens, other farm animals, a winery, pool, etc. It was perfect and if we come back to Pompeii we will be staying here for longer!
