I think a party just left at a big table when we arrived. The food was delivered very quickly because the waiter had an electronic menu which sent our order to the kitchen as soon as he moved to the next person, very nice! The menu is nicely concise, with something for everyone. I had the vegetable curry, which was delicious -- not spicy at all. If you like it hotter, there's a chili olive oil on the table to spice things up, but be warned, it's really hot. Service was very attentive and friendly. On the downside, prices are on the higher end for this type of restaurant. Still, we had a great evening and will definitely try it again next summer or next winter.

The Schneggarei is located in a typical ski hut just at the bottom of a piste. Just come down the slope, take of your ski and you're in. The setting is all wood, rustic and very cozy. Service is friendly, quick and efficient even on a busy day. For lunch they have a smaller menu so that the waiting time for the guests is as minimal as possible. I can recommend all of their pizza which come from a brick oven. The crust is thin and crispy. The burger is nice as well, the bun fresh and crispy, the 100% beef patty done perfectly to your order. Some of the staff were friendly and more attentive than others. We understood that we went on a busy night, but two tables who were seated quite a while after us both got their meals a long time before we did. Our appetisers took 70 minutes and our entrees took about 85 minutes to arrive. We asked about the food about an hour in and were told "it's very busy, you need to be patient". Only when we pointed out about the other two tables having eaten did our food arrive. BEWARE; they charge €6.50 for tap water! We questioned it and the woman said "it's not like America, it's normal here". Firstly, we are English and French, not American. Secondly it was our third night in Germany and our seventh time dining out and this was the ONLY place that charged for tap water! The food is also more expensive than anywhere else we ate at in Fussën. Good food but poor service from some of the staff. We went for dessert elsewhere.
