I think a party just left at a big table when we arrived. The food was delivered very quickly because the waiter had an electronic menu which sent our order to the kitchen as soon as he moved to the next person, very nice! After telling us they had a table for 3, they sat a group of 10, and 2 more tables of 3 that came in with no reservations after us.h At the table they asked if we would like something to drink. We ordered 3 beers and some water. It all came promptly, we were thirsty so we drank the water quickly, asked for more, we were promptly told that they charge for tap water, otherwise they would not sell anything from the bar. We told them we had ordered beers, we were told it was restaurant policy. Next course was melon with prosciutto. Melon was completely unripe and difficult to chew. Not good. The waiter came over to ask how everything was. We honestly told them it was unripe, and not good. The manager then came over to tell us melon is not in season, what did we expect, and other words in German that I didn't understand. At this point a smoke detector goes off with a piercing sound and continued to go off for another 10-15 minutes. Nobody in the restaurant seemed to enjoy that. Dinner came, all I can say was that it was mediocre at best. In the 20 minutes we sat there choking down their swill we witnessed the manager yell and scream at employees or other patrons 4 different occasions. The poor table next to us with 2 small children, who sat before us hadn't even received their appetizers by the time we got our bill. The waiter offered to buy us Grappa, or take the melon and prosciutto off the bill. The prosciutto and melon was a 16 euro item. We told them we were happy to pay for the appetizer because we had eaten it, but if the could take the 5 euro charge for the water off we would be happy with that. They refused, we couldn't believe it. We felt it pertinent to inform your readers of this. Totally no class, no pride in owner ship, lousy to mediocre food at best stay away from this place

The pizza didn't taste bad actually but the other half was horrified to find that the egg on the pizza was not baked on the topping, but sliced boiled egg. Unfortunate that the food wasn't great.
