To my delight, they were able to seat me right away on their gorgeous outdoor patio. I was a little confused at first but soon realized that you actually go inside to place your order and then they bring the food out to you. I ordered a glass of white wine and the shrimp salad. The wine was delicious and perfectly complimented the salad. The salad was good. It was a little small so I wish I had ordered something else because it didn't satisfy my hunger but it was super tasty! I loved the gorgeous views provided on the patio. Everything was just so nice. The staff were great. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Trier!

This cafe was full but we were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and efficient. Though my German is not great, the server was patient and we met in the middle as he spoke some English. Beer is the usual local fare to the area (IE Bitburger and the like). The town the restaurant and hotel is in should be on a postcard. It's in a (often) foggy valley between hills, and the river runs right through it.
