Our concierge at the Intercontinental Hotel recommended it, and we loved it! Ambiance and decor was perfect - Very charming Swiss log cabin ambiance that I was looking to find all around town, and what felt like an authentic Swiss-Italian experience. The service was excellent with some of the most friendly and welcoming staff we encountered in the country. And the food and wine was delicious, at the best value we found on our visit. Great assortment of menu options that will allow for a less expensive dinner when you need it to be - and Switzerland dining is expensive to American's (average $50 per person for dinners most places.) We absolutely will go back if we have a chance to visit again and would recommend to friends. They had a huge selection of pizzas and my husband said his was very good. They have a big clay oven in the center of the restaurant where you can see pizza being prepared and cooked by fire. They were knowledgeable and accommodating of my gluten allergy - the chef recommended I try the grilled shrimp with curry dipping sauce, and substituted delicious fresh steamed winter vegetables in place of the noodles for a good gluten free option - and it was my most favorite meal in Davos!

He drinks with his friends at the bar and only comes into the restaurant to yell at the ladies in black. I notice he doesn't yell at the one waitress in white but I suspect that's his wife and she looks meaner than him. The food and service was so good I would normally come again. But I won't be in Davos again for another year and I suspect the ladies in black will have quit by then, so I won't be back.

The bouillabase was just the right amount of spicy with the Calabrian chiles, and it had huge pieces of 2 types of fish, giant prawns, oysters, clams, and shrimp. My partner liked the salmon and prawns in his pasta. Service was excellent, and the owners spoke German, Italian, English (and probably more languages given the region's proximity to multiple countries). We didn't have a dinner reservation so were seated outside on the charming patio (2 sections, one with heaters close to the restaurant, and the other further away with blankets).

We questioned it and the woman said "it's not like America, it's normal here". Firstly, we are English and French, not American. Secondly it was our third night in Germany and our seventh time dining out and this was the ONLY place that charged for tap water! Es kommen nämlich Sprüche wie "Gehören zusammen", "Fiume hat geschlossen" - von Lügnern bitte nicht bequatschen lassen. WICHTIG: Nur, wer durch den Eingang hinten zum Al Fiume geht, oder sich am krakelenden "kleinen Mann" vorbei ganz nach hinten zur Terrasse durchwagt, bekommt auch Al Fiume Speisen auf dem Teller serviert. The line both days was an hour wait but it is so worth it and the view in line makes it go by faster. The bread with the wonderful butter olive oil blend was incredible the butter olive oil was perfectly salted and very creamy the bread was fresh and had a wonderful taste. We ordered the meatballs for our starter the first time and it was incredible one of the best meatballs i've had. The truffle fettuccine alfredo was very delicious the pasta was cooked to perfection and the sauce was so good you could drink it. The sedanini 3 tomato pasta had a very good flavor profile and tasted very fresh. The carbonara was also extremely good and had guanciale which added the most perfect saltiness. The tiramisu was also very good i enjoyed that the coffee used was not caffeinated so we were all able to sleep that night. The second time we went i had to step out to attend a meeting via zoom and took my food to go. The owner was extremely nice and accommodating and offered to pack up some of the delicious tomato cucumber salad my parents had left for me. The hospitality in this restaurant is next level everyone is extremely nice and welcoming.
