There is about 15-20 rooms here I think located on one floor. The rooms are pretty small and the big bed takes away most of the open space in the room. You have to squeez things in and space is at a premium. The curtains are not the best and it gets bright early. The rooms back onto a long balcony with a nice view. The room has most amenities and the bathroom was tiny. The shower was also very small and it just felt cramped overall. It was ok for one night but I would recommend a bigger room for a longer stay. Breakfast here is very nice with homemade muesli, nice bread and organic spreads. They make you nice coffee and I loved the breakfast. A nice hotel in countryside Bavaria.

All rooms with the lake view are nicely decorated and have their own balconies. The street is busy, as it goes around the lake, but the view compensates it. One thing that also coughs my attention is bathroom. Very well arranged so you have place to put your stuff exactly where you want it to be (including shelf under the shower). The only thing I am deducting one star is due to poor wifi. Not reachable by phone, breaking up with the computer. Nowadays it is a standard and when they improve it, 5 stars will appear!

The town is a bit of the playground for the rich and famous and is lined with boutiques, antique shops, art galleries and fashion galore. This hotel is home to the only three Michelin star restaurant in Bavaria and unfortunately, it was closed for annual holidays during our visit. That alone will bring me back here again. There are three other restaurants here and a nice lobby bar. There is a spa here that is huge and very well equipped. There are multiple sauna & steam rooms (note: this is a nude area only), swimming pool with a kids pool, hot and cold tubs, relaxation room, a library, a cafe, big gym, yoga/aerobics room and, a full service spa with a large menu of treatments. I absolutely loved the spa and saunas. You can also go to the spa for day use but, you need to book it in advance, if you are not staying at the hotel. The rooms are very well appointed and functional. The beds are super comfortable and some of the rooms have a balcony. The bathrooms are well appointed and you get all the supplies you need in there. Attention to detail is very good. If you want English paper in the morning it's not a problem. Our room also had a tablet that you could use to order food, book spa and restaurants, information, extend or change your reservation and request late checkout. It was a wonderful addition to the room. Wifi was great and available everywhere in the hotel. Pets are allowed for an extra charge and they had a bed and a big bowl of food waiting for the arrival of Samy, our dog. His eyes were lit up the moment he walked into the room ;-)) Note that dogs are not allowed in the restaurants and the spa area. Dog sitting services are available on request and can be booked at reception. The thing that made this place super special for me was the service. It was fantastic and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. This was common throughout the hotel and the restaurants. That alone will bring me back here. The finest service I have experienced in a hotel in Germany to date. We loved it and whilst it's not cheap, I would come back here in a heartbeat. Such places are hard to find in Europe. The overall experience made us want more and we almost considered extending for another night, however, our schedule did not permit it.

But if you are looking for an excellent Bavarian countryside experience it does not get much better than this. The hotel has been gorgeously restored and rebuilt with spacious rooms and balconies. The rooms are well equipped with a nice bed, sofa, big flat screen tv and so on. The restaurant and biergarten is excellent and the food and service here is top class. It was packed all evening and was a total surprise for me considering the location of this place. My whole fish main was cooked to perfection and tasted divine. The menu here is also great and had a few good choices for vegetarians. Staff are very friendly and English is spoken enough for you to communicate in case you struggle with German. The scenery here is also spectacular and you get a great view of the Alps from this hotel (see my photos). The only complaint I had was that we had a room just above the biergarten and it was a little bit noisy in the evening. Other than that this place is without fault. I would happily come back here anytime for a stay and meal.
