Its hard to describe, but its pretty cool. Put it this way, if youre sharing, then your room mate will see you taking a shower. Food was pretty good, and most of the staff spoke pretty good english as well. The area the hotel is in may not be the best, but I can vouch for the quality of the hotel itself

The place is clean and the front desk staff is generally inviting. We found that not all the staff that work in the hotel are courteous. I don't know if it's because we were pegged as americans or what. We mentioned it to our local friends and, unbeknownst to my wife and I, they called the hotel and complained about the service at breakfast. We did not know he had contacted the hotel until after. He felt embarrassed about our experience. My wife and I didn't take it personally. We had the worry that we would get to the hotel after hours but were told that if we knew we would be late we would be given instructions on how to get in the door and that our keycard would be waiting on the front desk. We found that quite nice. The room was a little smaller than expected but that was our fault for not paying great attention to the online pictures and descriptions. Would we stay there again on our way through Augsburg? Probably not. But four stars regardless.
