There is a world class spa (largest in Europe in a hotel). There is a nice and generous self-serve happy hour between 5-6pm with free wines and German lager. The rooms were clean and well equipped except the Chromecast function on the TVs didn't work for us limiting us to just a small handful of English-speaking channels (mostly news stations like CNN). Not a big deal since we weren't traveling to watch TV, but it would have been nice to be able to unwind to a movie on Netflix instead of having to face the real world via listening to the news. We were able to sleep well in the beds and the curtains blocked most of the light nicely so we didn't wake up at 5am every morning. There was a decent restaurant but avoid the pricier "dry aged" steaks if you are used to fine American steakhouses. The dry aged steak lacked flavor and could be more tender but was cooked to the right temp. There's a nice coffee shop attached with friendly service, good coffee, and even alcoholic beverages to enjoy in the afternoon or evenings. There's a rooftop bar on the top floor although we struggled a bit figuring out how to get to it. We tried to go to the top from the 5th floor, but it doesn't work that way. You need to go to the first floor then the far-right elevator only can take you up to where the rooftop bar is. This bar is nice with a great view, but a bit pricey so we only sprung for two rounds. We spent most of our time outside of our room in the central hotel bar near the lobby. The bar manager and staff were super friendly and took great care of us during our stay. We'd definitely be back - but wish the hotel was a little closer to the downtown area of Munich.

I woke up covered in mosquito bites, and my partner -- who is a type 1 diabetic -- was put at serious health risk because of the bites and lack of sleep. It was completely uninhabitable. The staff acknowledged this has happened before, but still refused to move us to another room that night. To make things worse: * The air conditioning didn't work, so the room stayed hot and muggy the entire night. * The fridge also wasn't working, which caused our food and insulin to spoil. * The room was full of mosquitoes all night and we were forced to sleep through it with no solution from the hotel. All management offered was a free breakfast and late checkout. That's it. I followed up via email three separate times, requesting a refund for that night, and they have completely ignored every message. Absolutely no accountability, no care, and no professional response to a clear health hazard they were responsible for. This hotel has a serious problem with room quality, basic maintenance, and incompetent management. Avoid this place -- especially if you value your health, your sleep, or even just basic service.

If you need assistance after that, you'll need to visit the reception at the adjacent hotel, which is connected via a shared lobby and walkway. The front desk staff was equally as annoyed and rude that I would have a question. I truly never experienced anything like this and I travel more then half the year. It's a small hotel, but has great attention to detail. First, the design was warm, calming, and overall comfortable. I also liked the aesthetic, which felt a little Parisian (?). It was somewhere between modern and traditional (if that's possible), but most of all was cohesive. Everything just belonged together. The small garden was beautiful and peaceful and well-kept. The premise and staff exuded a pride of ownership and service, which I always appreciate. While the breakfast may not have been as elaborate as some larger hotels, it was fantastic. As an aside, it's nice to have everything included (the mini bar, breakfast, etc.). Even the sauna and steam room were a nice amenity. Other examples of attention to detail... the electrical outlets included adapter for different plugs including USB-C. The bathroom included a table for additional counter space. The front desk included frog gummies (frog was their theme). Who thinks of all this? All these little thoughtful details really demonstrate care. If I had to critique, I would suggest a few more equipment for the gym; it was a little lacking. Overall, great place.
