There is a world class spa (largest in Europe in a hotel). There is a nice and generous self-serve happy hour between 5-6pm with free wines and German lager. The rooms were clean and well equipped except the Chromecast function on the TVs didn't work for us limiting us to just a small handful of English-speaking channels (mostly news stations like CNN). Not a big deal since we weren't traveling to watch TV, but it would have been nice to be able to unwind to a movie on Netflix instead of having to face the real world via listening to the news. We were able to sleep well in the beds and the curtains blocked most of the light nicely so we didn't wake up at 5am every morning. There was a decent restaurant but avoid the pricier "dry aged" steaks if you are used to fine American steakhouses. The dry aged steak lacked flavor and could be more tender but was cooked to the right temp. There's a nice coffee shop attached with friendly service, good coffee, and even alcoholic beverages to enjoy in the afternoon or evenings. There's a rooftop bar on the top floor although we struggled a bit figuring out how to get to it. We tried to go to the top from the 5th floor, but it doesn't work that way. You need to go to the first floor then the far-right elevator only can take you up to where the rooftop bar is. This bar is nice with a great view, but a bit pricey so we only sprung for two rounds. We spent most of our time outside of our room in the central hotel bar near the lobby. The bar manager and staff were super friendly and took great care of us during our stay. We'd definitely be back - but wish the hotel was a little closer to the downtown area of Munich.

You are smack in the middle of everything. But it does feel like a college dorm room. No A/C and lots of loud noises throughout the day and night. The biggest complaint I have is the coffee situation. I've stayed all over Europe and this place doesn't have any coffee machine/bags/cups or anything for a morning cup in the room. If you pay 14€ for breakfast at the downstairs restaurant, you can have unlimited cups out of the Laurin restaurant machine. But I can't believe they don't offer that machine to hotel guests from 8am-10am. Give me a token or something. It's 2024. I don't know of any decent hotels that don't offer coffee in room for their guests. Additionally the front desk staff could barely speak English (which is fine - I understand it's not America)....but I got better service and English from the alley baristas down the road. They aren't hugely accommodating, helpful, or gracious. It's a basic room in a great area. Go to Sweet Spot Kaffee a few yards down the alley to the left for unbelievable coffee. Flat whites for the win!

No. But the water pressure is good, the beds are comfortable, the wifi works and I loved that the window opened so I could get fresh air at night. The breakfast is meats, cheese, rolls, yogurt, cereals, etc. It was a delight to go down in the morning and enjoy the fare with a cup of coffee. There is a small elevator (2 people max) that will get you between the floors or you can go up and down the staircase in the back. If you plan to arrive after 9pm, you need to call the hotel before that time so that they know you are coming and will give you instructions. We had no problem as we arrived in the afternoon, but others in our group got to the hotel late and the door was locked and the "emergency number" on the door was not picked up. Not a great start to your vacation so let them know if you will be late as this is a small hotel and not open 24/7. Not fancy but you can't beat the location!

I get where she's coming from, but I don't think I would have mentioned that bit to visitors unencumbered, seemingly, by price restrictions to the degree that she is. *cute-looking breakfast area; we repeatedly went to Trachtenvogl for brekkie, so I can't tell you if the 7 Euro grub is good, but I'd imagine it's fine. I felt very safe in this hotel, although walking the street in this area has a great deal of activity on it, and some people might feel uncomfortable here. But I didn't feel uncomfortable at all. Price is pretty good kind of in the middle of the road for a decent hotel here in Munich. A really nice buffet breakfast in the morning, is not included in the price, but it's still a pretty good deal if you want a good buffet breakfast with hot food, cakes, bakery items, fruit, cereal, and lots more. A little bar on the first floor right in the lobby area is really nice for people to come down and just spend a few minutes with some music playing having a drink and talking.
