There is always someone at the front desk and they were so kind to answer any questions we had. Breakfast is complimentary and basic, but good. They supply you with a map of the city and point out all the tourist hot spots. Morpheus is in a wonderful location and is within walking distance of most places. I only gave it 4 stars, because our room was in the front by reception and at times it was a but noisy. It was just typical noise of people talking to the attendant, but we were so sleepy after a full day out that it wasn't too bothersome.

This is one of a collection of "residences" located in this area of Rome under the same ownership…read more It consists of one side of a floor of an old Roman apartment house that has been sub-divided into hotel rooms. The room was large and well-appointed with a very good modern bathroom and was extremely clean. The building boasts a charming courtyard and garden though there isn't much of a view of anything. WiFi was free but very slow even though the wireless server was plugged in right outside the door of the room. The main problem here was the service needs to be more polished and to provide more info. When we reserved, they gave us the address for one of the other residences in their collection. We were then told to go to this address, which involved shlepping a lot of luggage for about six blocks. Then we were told the hotel tax had to be paid in cash, despite the fact that another hotel put it on the credit card. They include continental breakfast but it is in a little caffe that is evidently owned by them or a business partner and is several blocks away. Had we been directed to the correct address and informed ahead of time that they requested the hotel tax payment in cash, we would have been much better disposed towards them.

After an initial scare on speaking to the owner to be told that I had cancelled my booking at an…read moreearlier date I was left somewhat flummoxed holding my confirmed booking confirmation in my hand at a public phone box a few yards from the place I was supposed to be staying. This was quickly resolved however and Maria told me to meet outside the hostel and she would be there soon. She arrived and took us through big wooden doors, through a courtyard up to the second floor of an apartment. She apologised for the error but at that point I was just happy to see her as it meant I wouldn't have to go traipsing about Rome to find alternative accommodation, so I put it down to simple human error. Maria offered us some water and we waited in the kitchen whilst she set up our en-suite room. There were two single beds (slimmer than the usual singles you would expect think university halls size bed) and a single fold out bed for the third traveller. There was a tv in the room too. The accommodation was fine as a place to sleep, and it had a kitchen that you could use so that saved us some euros. Location wise, you are within a short walking distance of Termini station and within walking distance of major sites such as the Colleseum, the Palatin etc. There are a few other rooms in the apartment too, which have their own bathroom outside the room. If you like to come and go as you please and have your own space I'd recommend. Any problems just ring Maria she is very helpful.
