My room was situated facing the street and it was a lovely room with a balcony. I could open the balcony door and see the stores and restaurants across the street. In the distance I could hear the hustle and bustle of passersby and the voice of people praying at a nearby Mosque. It was quite calming. There was breakfast offered and it was quite a spread. Everything looked fresh and lots to choose from. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is centrally located.

The hotel was in a excellent location near many restaurants, shops and tourist locations within walking distance. You don't need a cab to explore this area. The rooms were very clean & comfortable. They were also cleaned daily. We had a balcony room as well as our friend traveling with us. She was in the room next door. The staff was great very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend staying here. Some of the other reviews some people complained about the outside noise. Sure it can be noisy a little at times but your in a major city it didn't bother us. I would definitely stay here again in the future:).

Upon checking in we were greeted by the general manager who thanked us for staying at the hotel. Check in was easy and we received an upgrade to a suite (we're platinum members) which had a great view of the city! The hotel itself is very clean and has great water pressure (something you can't always be assured of in Turkey!). If you're flying into Istanbul you may call the hotel in advance and arrange for airport transport (something we took advantage of) for peace of mind upon arrival. If you only speak English I would recommend having the hotel call a metered cab for you as sometimes the cab drives may try to quote you a higher fare if you're a tourist. Most of the staff at the hotel speak English which was a nice bonus!

All of these sites are quite famous and usually take a long time to get in. But during November it is their low season so it was less busy than I have seen it before. Hotel Amira was also my first time staying at this boutique hotel which cost was quite reasonable. The only negative thing is maybe the stairs if you have heavy luggage you will need some assistance depending on which floor you get. We got the 7th room number which doesn't have an elevator to connect to that level. But besides that it was fine. The staff here is quite friendly and nice. If you have any questions just ask them and they will be able to help you out. The rooftop is closed though since it is cold but you can still go on top of it and take some photos of the view. It is fantastic to see the ocean on one side and also the mosque on the other. For a boutique hotel, the location, area, and being able to walk around at all the most famous places in Istanbul is quite nice!
