This was last room in Guerro negro this night and we would have had to drive 6 hours to next town, arriving around 11 pm. Talked to manager and he said room was a available with a problem. The bathroom sink was leaking and the bathroom floor was a puddle. He discounted our room and we took it without choice. We cleaned up as best we could and stayed the night. In the morning the floor was flooded again. The walls are paper thin and the family above us woke us around 4:30 with their noisy checkout. TV did not turn on. Lamp did not work. No fridge, no coffee, air did work. No plugs for charging phones, tablets. Small full size beds. Pretty hard.

The Cadillac margaritas are delicious. Dinner wasn't great but it hit the spot and very convenient to not have to leave the hotel because we were pooped. The server at the restaurant was super funny and nice. The front desk lady wasn't overly friendly but when I chatted with her in Spanish she became nicer. Our air conditioning didn't work correct but we had a fan and got a decent nights sleep for the next day's drive. There is a very legit gas station nearby as well so it's VERY easy to get back on the road. I'd stay here again, it's inexpensive and you get what you pay for.

His service was beyond description. He picked up ice and drinks for us at the local market for our fishing trips! His service in the dining room was par excellence. The kicker? The food is incredible! His chef from TJ worked in some of the best restaurants in Baja. Everything we ordered was presented as in art culinaire magazine, tasty, well seasoned and hot! The salsa and totopos which were served prior to the meal was also excellent, crisp tortilla chips and a mild salsa verde. The margaritas were excellent, not to sweet, cold and potent! The owner is an elegant matriarch, a tiny older woman with a delightful gigantic great Dane at her side named Roco (replaced his predecessor, Scooby, so our kids call it the Scooby motel). Best of all is the restaurant-- we always eat dinner and breakfast. Every meal starts with a small bowl of delicious homemade soup, and the seafood and "mexican comida" are all delicious. We have stayed in most of the other hotels in town but this is the best!
