Amazing trip with a small group of 4. The whales were jumping out of the water like dolphins. Some came super close to the boat and hung around for pictures. One of best experiences in my life. read more

Highly recommend the grey whale tours offered through malarrimo. The people running the tours are super insightful and friendly and the grey whales that come to the bay are such a marvel to get the chance to see. We stayed at the hotel which was cute and clean with hot showers and ate at the restaurant attached to the hotel that had great food. Truly enjoyed my stay here and cannot wait to come back. read more
Our whale watching adventure started with Antonio Eco Tours at Laguna San Ignacio the day before. We drove the approx. 50 KM from the city out to the remote beach front camp. Upon arrival we were told we could camp for $10 US or stay in one of their beach front cabins for $70 US. We chose the camping over the overpriced cabin. As the afternoon waned the winds picked up and we decided to go for the cabin. During the night the winds became so great it felt like the cabin would come off the foundation. We could hear the roofing literally being torn off the roof. Upon inspection the next morning the roofing was indeed gone and winds were still very heavy with whitecaps on the bay. We went to the office and paid out 1,400 Pesos for the night and said we were leaving. The young girl manager pretended to not understand why we would not want to go out to see the whales. We wanted our preserve our life that's why. On our way out back to the highway we passed their van bringing more unsuspecting tourists out for a very dangerous day. These folks seem to be more interested in making Pesos than serving their customers. We set out for Guerrero Negro and found Malarrimo whale watching who was cheaper and gave us more of an adventure than we ever expected. We highly recommend Malarrimo in Guerrero Negro. Watch our amazing video. read more

Whale watching tour for 12 persons in a panga. Had a bad boat. They had been working on it when we arrived, so they knew it was not right. Would not get up to speed, so trip out to lagoon took twice as long as it should, reducing our time in the area of the whales. Their response..."we are so sorry". Period. read more

We drove straight out to the Whale Watching area with our car the road was great, the tour was great and the Whales were friendly/Awesome. The dirt road is about 13 miles long and can be driven in a car easily. Our friends stayed at the Halfway Inn and said it was a good place to stay. read more
