First day arriving and not a good start. August 15th 2023- No one to greet us and explain the property. I was told to go to the bar and Elisa would check us in. Back history - we got the Poseidon room 11 most likely the most expensive about $415 a night and we were excited to start our vacation with a great view in luxury. Not at all luxury and more like a bad Airbnb experience, let me explain below in details. By the way I complained to the manager via WhatsApp since that was the form of communication, ***and read to the end to hear the excuses from all of these issue outlined below We spoke to Elisa and right away was charged the 50% remaining fee upfront? Would think this is done at check out but ok. Then here is our experience: 1. Entered the room it was literally 90+ degrees. I told the manager prior I would be there at 3pm and then before that time I was running late and would be there at 5:30. You would think the room would be nice an chilled since we traveled over 2 hours to get to this location. Maybe some water or something as a customary gesture... no crickets 2. The door is digital, would not lock after we enter asked Elisa to let us know, she didn't know we eventually figured it out on our own but it meant that one of us had to stay behind since we couldn't lock it. So far wasting our vacation to figure something so simple not even the bar tender would know.... 3. The fire pit on the balcony which is one of the amenities of the room wouldn't start and asked Elisa and of course didn't know. 4. The bed for our son was not made and no sheets or pillows. It was clear it was three of us and we would not fit on one bed.... 5. They brought us a fan since after 3 hours still not. The fan was disgusting!!! Dust all of it like in a kitchen with grease...Don't understand what kind of customer service this establishment thinks is a standard. 6. Salamander in our room they said it's normal so I guess we deal with it and let it sleep with us. 7. No toiletries, we didn't see any in the cubby of the shower but then later on was told it was there all along. When I spoke to the manager he said that they can't have the air conditioner running because this area has electric issues so they don't want to consume the energy and thankful that they have it.... As if saying I was a spoiled brat and should know that having it on all day was selfish. Hay I'm paying like $500 a night and the most expensive room so maybe I should get the best treatment or service that they can offer. The bartender at night was the nicest and polite person their and was able to order food before they closed. The good things about this place was that they offered a place to eat when there really wasn't a lot in the area. The free breakfast was not really anything - black coffee ( had to ask for milk as if it was too much to give me for my coffee) and some cereal kids boxes were left around. To get to beach, you have to walk down a bit so if you are not a hiker don't bother since it is not handicap friendly- not an issue for us but could see a problem for older people. The jacuzzi at night was not working - they were going I turn it on but heard some linking noises when they tried and the manager came back and said it's the summer they don't usually have this on... guess no jacuzzi under the stars. They didn't turn in the fire pit and the bartender delivered our drinks before our meal which was nice. Think the bartender at least helped the situation a little since the manager at night was horrible. You know when someone talks to you and the thing is they don't apologize at all or accept that the service is bad and here is what they would do... One last thing - why give me a menu showing Mexican prices and then charge me at the end US DOLLARS?? Think this I a bit illegal and taking advantage since then they also take the currency in MEXICAN and convert it back which makes it almost extra charge... they did the same thing with the remains 50% hotel fee, it was cheaper when I didn't it online. Something not right here, Never again! Let me be clear if I got a small normal room I would say who cares deal with it at least it has a good view, etc but for what I rented it was the highest amount and was treated poorly. read more

We didn't stay the night sinve we have a house next door, however, we did return through out the week for food and drinks. Great service, friendly accommodating staff. Good food at decent prices and a bomb jalapeño margarita. Can't go wrong! We also did the day pass which includes a food voucher, use of pools, kayaks and SUP. This will be my go to spot for cocktails and food. read more

I actually hate for others to find this place. It was the most relaxing holiday location I've been to in many, many years. Front desk was helpful. Bar staff efficient. Food and drinks were good and well priced. Morning breakfast offerings were numerous and tasty. All the other guests here were either participating in Kiting or with someone who was. Most descended the stairs to the beach around 11 and made their way back up to the veranda near 3:30. 3:30 to 5:30 was always spent gazing out over the beautiful bay of innumerable shades of blue. Hotel staff made suggestions for other eats around this slow, dusty town. What was missing were unminded children screaming and frothing about. Drunken parents slurring and loud. That-guy making the big-super-important-deal at high volume within earshot of everyone at the pool. Peace, quiet, beauty Todo Bien - La Ventana. We will be back. read more

This boutique hotel boasts another amazing view perched overlooking the Sea's extensive activity. Sometimes I wonder whether the public is welcome because it's main area for food and drink makes you walk through the lobby area. But they are always happy to see me. This is my choice for meeting people for a drink at the 5 o'clock hour. You can sit at a bar table, a regular dining table or any one of a number of couches and sip your Marguerita and pinch yourself to make sure this lovely place is not a dream. I can't comment on the food having only sampled drinks and appetizers. The place is worth a visit. read more

When I walked past the reception area and saw the view I knew I had made the right decision. I've traveled extensively and was dazzled. The color of the water with the Island in the distance took me in immediately. The hotel is beautiful with all the amenities of a 5 star inclusive and non of the crowds. The rooms are gorgeous with views of the Sea of Cortez and the cactus. The restaurant has a bar with wonderful and friendly staff who immediately offered us a drink as we watched the sunset. I would recommend the drink called the "Juan Juan' and the Coconut Shrimp. I also had Tuna Sashimi that was the freshest I've ever had. I don't kite but I bike, paddle board and hike as well as snorkel. One morning we went out on a boat in the bay and saw a playful group of bottle nose dolphin in the 100's. Remarkable experience. The hotel staff was very helpful in setting up this experience. I highly recommend Hotel Todo Bien. There is nothing like it! read more

Hotel Todo Bien easily accommodated our large group of 16 people and helped make my 40th birthday an amazing experience. The staff was friendly and while highly productive and efficient are virtually unseen. It was like our own private oasis. The views are stunning and the complimentary activities such as paddle boarding, kayaking and snorkeling kept us busy when we wanted to be. Breakfast is complimentary, delicious and probably the quickest meal you will get in this town. Most of the days we stayed and had lunch as well which did not disappoint either. Regardless of the bartender the drinks were made to perfection! I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We rented cars in Cabo to make the drive but were informed before arriving that they would gladly arrange shuttle service from the airport if we would like. We will take them up on this next time as once you get to La Ventana/El Sarjento/Hotel Todo Bien there is very little reason to leave. Thank you Hotel Todo Bien for the impeccable service, excellent food, fun atmosphere and super comfortable rooms and beds. We are already planning our trip back. read more

Im sure the place is gorgeous and wonderful - I just highly recommend you do not reserve until you are absolutely certain you are able to stay as they will keep 1/2 of your deposit or offer you a room credit regardless of how far out you cancel, (in my case I cancelled over 2 months prior to my visit). read more

We have been traveling to LV for years and just stayed at Todo Bien for our first time, and can't wait to return. Simply put, everything about our stay at this lovely boutique hotel was perfect. The views are amazing from every spot on the property -- The rooms, the dining area and adjoining outdoor spots are stunning, and tastefully decorated, down to every detail. Wonderful pool and Jacuzzi, and a large fire pit area to relax and take it all in. The staff were so warm, and friendly it felt like we were hanging out with old friends. From the morning coffee, and included breakfast, to lunch and afternoon drinks, we were so impressed with the quality and authenticity. By the way, the best margarita's we've ever had, and we've sampled many ") The beach is just steps away down a very cool, and private path and is very quiet, and nice to hang out, kitesurf, kayak, SUP, or to go for a swim. I can't say enough about what the Todo Bien team has created at this magical spot, and is on the top of our list to return asap! Enjoy! read more

I have been visiting La Ventana for over a decade and Hotel Todo Bien captures all the beauty and charm I have grown to love spending time in Baja. This gorgeous boutique hotel sits on an arroyo overlooking the Sea of Cortez. The beach is steps away. The rooms are spacious, with beautiful tile work, very comfortable beds ( soft sheets , lush towels and great pillows!), and private bathrooms. All rooms have lovely terraces with stunning views. The hotel grounds are so lovely that at times it was hard to pick which spot to relax in! There are great outdoor couches under a gorgeous palapa to enjoy for an afternoon siesta, poolside lounge chairs, a gorgeous fire pit (perfect for a nite cap or tea while stargazing at the spectacular Baja sky), the open and airy bar and restaurant are a perfect spot for a delicious meal or top notch margarita. The two gorgeous pools and hot tubs are just right. The staff is friendly, accessible and offer great recommendations regarding local restaurants and activities. . Whether you are a Kiter, paddler, wind surfer, mountain biker, runner or beach lover you'll enjoy the warm and luxurious vibe of this treasure on the Sea of Cortez. read more

I've been going down to this area for 20 years and Hotel Todo Bien just knocked my socks off (not that I usually wear socks in Baja). Seriously, the property is just gorgeous, the staff is amazing, my room was beautiful, clean and cozy and the the food and margaritas were excellent. I would recommend it to anyone. read more

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Todo Bien for 5 nights in Oct. 2019. Our "ocean view King" bedroom and bath was beautiful with marvelous bedding and linens. We had a large private balcony and the staff helped us book a 90 min. couples massage in our room.The manager, Annette, arranged for my husband to go on a chartered deep sea fishing trip. The guys were picked up on the beach by the house. The bartender, Alejandro was great, he took great care of us! We enjoyed long walks on the beach looking for sea glass, watching the kite surfers in action, snorkeling and diving at the abandoned hotel. We attended the farmers market in the village on Thurs. and we took a day trip to La Paz and Todo Santos one day. There are restaurants close to the hotel within walking distance and a coffee shop and small grocery nearby. The hotel is well designed and has a lot of private nooks for reading, relaxing, playing ping pong, board games, etc. There are two pools, hot tub, fire pit and fireplace under a beautiful Palapa. There is a private walkway and steps down to the beach with another Palapa and beach chairs and SUP Boards. read more
