Set in an area a short tram ride from the city centre on the edge of a park this hotel is lovely and quiet and provides excellent value for money. It has clean, modern and well maintained interior and exterior. Staff all speak fluent English and are helpful and accommodating. There is free wifi in all rooms and internet access via a computer in reception. Breakfasts are varied and food is plentiful and fresh. We had the penthouse apartment at the top of the hotel which afforded us the most stunning view of the Prague hills and skyline. Our apartment had a fantastic bathroom and wetroom, a spacious living area and ample double bedroom with a walk in wardrobe area. At only £70 a night four of us lived very well indeed. The hotel is located a bit out of the center, but it is in a comfortable position because it has the metro stop (Andel) a few meters away. I emailed them several times - once to confirm the reservation and another time about ordering an airport shuttle service. As weary travelers, we were greeted at the hotel with a warm hello and detailed description of the amenities and services offered. We took the opportunity to go on a walking tour of the city with one of the hotel employees, Vaclav, who was enthusiastic and super friendly. Their sister hotel (Andels) is behind the Angelo. The fitness area (which is an actual outside company gym) is located in the basement of the Andels Hotel & can be used by Angelo guests also. The rooms are old, old, not even flat screen, the windows are dirty and the shower carries almost no water. The hotel lives from conferences; so that how I got there. But never ever again.
