Hmmm- kinda overrated. Stayed there for two nights. The locals consider it high end because it's…read morecolonial and on the pricier side. Not all rooms have air conditioning so make sure to request a room with it. Ours didn't come with it, but they put some fans in our rooms so it was okay. They have WiFi too, but it was so lame in our rooms. Our stay included breakfast- it was just okay. During our first morning, the food and coffee was cold. When I told one of the waiters, he got upset. They're also limited on options- like no spinach for my omelet or cheese (wtf). Sigh. The breakfast the second morning was better (guess they got the message from the day before). It's right in the center of Morelia, so that was great:

My wife and I stayed a night here after failing to find an AirBnb. For $74 USD (booking fees…read moreincluded), I'd say this place was a steal compared to other hotel and AirBnBs in the area. The Hotel is built in an 18th-century building overlooking the historic center of Morelia. The building itself it absolutely gorgeous; feels like you're walking around an old castle. The old paintings and suits of armor really help the atmosphere. The centerpiece is the mind-blowingly large stained-glass ceiling over the main lobby. The basic room we got was pretty small, but totally functional. Bed was a queen-size, the bathroom and shower were spacious enough (oddly, the bathroom had a window that opened up to the main hallway). Our stay included a continental breakfast, between the decor of the dining room and the excellent staff seemed a better deal than most hotels. Long story short, if you're in Morelia and you can stay here it's worth it. Stop by even if you don't to check out the decor.

Pros: ~Gorgeous hotel, rooms, decor, history…read more ~Super clean rooms ~Located at the center of everything ~Has A/C and heater which I loved! ~ you get a free bottle of wine in your room. Cons: ~Staff is very cold, unwelcoming. ~ Hotel is NOT suitable for the handicap or elderly. No elevator or assistance. ~You must go up two set of stairs carrying your own luggage. There is no elevator and staff will not assist in carrying items to your room. - Street noice was very loud, I felt like I was sleeping on the street. Nightclub music ended at 4:00. ~ They will not take dollars, only pesos. ~ The giant cockroaches greeted me better than the staff, lol! Overall its a beautiful hotel with a very cold feel.

Beautiful hotel in great location but had a cockroach incident. Hotel located in city center and…read moreclose to main cathedral, shopping and local eateries. Rooms are spacious and I reserved a junior suite which is two floors. Rooms come equipped with AC and snack bar for purchase. Snacks are reasonably inexpensive. Hotel rates are also fantastic. At time of shower, noticed cockroach coming out behind mirror. Notified management but they didn't do anything about the issue they just took note of the situation. The next morning when I was getting ready for check out, noticed another cockroach coming out from the shower floor/drain. Again, I notified front desk staff upon check out but they didn't do anything about the situation. The hotels lobby is beautiful and features many artisan details such as copper chandeliers and and copper panels with designs in the lobby/restaurant area. Hotel is located within walking distance of many other restaurants and attractions located in the city center of Morelia. I would recommend this hotel hopefully their pest issue was just a one time isolated situation.
