This was our first stop on our Mexico trip. Tulum is such a beautiful place. Nice gorgeous beaches and the night view is so peaceful. Stargazing was an absolute treat. Villa Pescadores is close to the ruins. It's a bike ride away. Great staff! Special shoutout to Donna who checked us in. Very nice, friendly and so helpful. Our first night we opted to eat dinner at their restaurant and service was just awesome. Servers were super friendly.. Special shoutout to Fernando, knowing that we were not locals, he even offered to show the kids around after dinner. Would definitely come back to this resort!

Stumbled across this hotel and restaurant parched and sweaty after a long trek around the Tulum ruins. What a perfect oasis to kick back and relax for a bit! We were seated at one of the tables under a canopy so we got some respite from the hot sun, but still had a killer view of the ocean. I went with a piña colada which was delicious if not super boozy, and shared a heaping order of nachos. I'm pretty sure nachos aren't considered an authentic Mexican dish by any means, but they were delicious and I'm not ashamed! The service was friendly and efficient, and they were totally fine with us lounging and lingering for a bit. We came back a few days later to stretch out on the beach beds and enjoy some more cocktails, and I had a wonderful mojito that I think was even tastier than the piña colada! A wonderful place to enjoy Tulum's incredible beach and rest up after a day at the ruins... or any time!

This is my favorite hotel in the world by far. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, you would love it! Every villa has a small front beach patio with a hammock, the beds are beautiful, the beach has comfortable beds with excellent service of food and drinks. I also enjoyed taking long walks on this beach every day. The Tulum archeological zone is about five minutes away! I strongly recommend villa pescadores. I will definitely be coming back!

Had a great time at this bar!!!! They take cash and card which most bars don't on this beach. Try the tacos, the guac, the ceviche, and coco loco drinks in the coconut! Good service and gorgeous views.

    Mayan Ruins a walk away.

Eco-terrific. Great reception/concierge folks. White sand beaches! Walk to ruins (those astounding Mayans). Unique and wondrous nearby cenotes. Well worth the o

Everything you need in Tulum! Quaint little oasis. Bungalows right on beach are simple but definitely adequate. Beach is beautiful and restaurants (one on beach one at check-in), are so, so good! Staff is friendly and accommodating. **only disappointment is that "ocean view" and "partial ocean view" rooms are really not different at all from the other rooms. Definitely not worth paying extra for the "view". Would definitely stay here again

Best place in Tulum! Our stay was fantastic from the moment we got there the service was impeccable. At your check in they had everything prepared from you cenote tours, bikes and any information requested. They even bring you a welcome drink that we ended up having probably 2 times a day! Delicious! I cannot be happier with this hotel. The rooms are huts on the beach with a canopy bed. Very romantic :). Most importantly the rooms are extremely clean! Only down side is you cannot turn the AC on till 6 pm but it's ok because we were out all day anyway. Perfect touch to this is lthey bring you coffee every morning on the balcony. It really felt like paradise. Nothing better than coffee in the am on the porch. Also the restaurant was delicious! Breakfast and lunch were insanely good. Fresh ceviche , Tuna toast, Mexican corn, and grilled fish all on the beach. Couldn't be better. Our plane left very early in the morning so we had to be picked up around 4:00 am. The restaurant even had sandwiches ready for us for breakfast. Thank you Villa Pescadores! I highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

Better late than never! I stayed here over my birthday weekend in March with a friend. It was a last minute trip and I Could not be happier that this hotel had availability. What better way than to arrive at a hotel, early at 9am(no problem!)and be welcomed with a cucumber/basil juice+ vodka!!! I cannot say enough about the staff!! How sweet and accommodating everyone was including Ivan, Angel Perez, Wik, Dona, and Elonka. Our bunglow was decorated with lovely decor and only two back from the beach. The property is lined with palms and hammocks. My two favorite things about the property were 1) location and 2)large beach area. This hotel is very quietly situated at the northern most point of the "beach strip" away from all the noise and traffic, yet very accessible to it all by bike(beach and town). Also, we stopped in many beach hotels for cocktails, and quickly realized we had the best beach in Tulum at Villa Pescadores. The food was delicious, and again the staff was amazing! I hope to return soon.

So glad I chose to stay on the north end of the beach. The hotel is quiet and unpretentious with a laid back beach feel. Staff are thoughtful and responsive. Lots of locals frequent the north end of the beach. Rooms are spacious, clean and adorable. Great views from your cabana or your private hammock.

We were given the information about the property and all the amenities as well as given a tour and then shown to our room, typically when you first arrive, they perform a greeting cleanse to, clear energy, set your vibe and give you a little taste of the beautiful Mayan cultural traditions. Unfortunately, when we were shown over to the location where they perform the energy cleanse no one was there so they said we'd have to come back the next day which never ended up happening. Finally, moments before we were checking out we asked if it was possible just to see what the experience was like before we left. That part was actually really good, especially after our experience staying here for six days, which will make sense by the end of this review. When we checked in, it was already dark out but the design and lighting as well as the bio inspired architecture which fuses art in nature was pretty cool to see. They only give you one key for your room for some odd reason, it was a little inconvenient because it meant that me and my wife had to be together at all moments and couldn't explore or do services separately without the hassle of having to meet up to share the key, or the other option is to go walk all the way to the front desk, which, although the walk is beautiful, the design of the floor is made out of a bunch of branches for the walkway and is very difficult to navigate, especially at night so walking turned out to be more of a hassle, but that's just me being nit-picky. The other option is you can reach out to your concierge and then they can send someone which means you're waiting sometimes 5 to 10 minutes, again very small minor inconveniences but nonetheless adds up when staying there for six days. It definitely has an effect on the overall appeal and serenity that one would expect from a place like this. The room itself had two very small shelf like closets definitely not enough hangers or space to accommodate both of our very limited wardrobe that we brought. I had to put 2 to 3 shirts on one hanger and hang the pants inside and that's literally all I brought other than T-shirts and socks and underwear and one pair of nice shoes I literally packed very minimal and still didn't have enough space... again very small inconvenience but nonetheless 20 different small inconveniences all fused together to make one kind of annoying overall experience. Now I can say that I have mixed feelings about the minimal electricity and necessity to use tea candles for our lighting, but I respect the sustainability aspect of it and it did make very nice environment and mood. The only downside is they tell you that you don't blow the candles out and you can leave them on overnight and we had one explode right next to our heads and over all of our bathroom essentials. The shower is right in the middle there's no protection for water so it gets all over the floor, I nearly slipped a few times because of it. Probably sounds nit picky, but these are things I believe make it or break it for places like this. We experienced some type of mishap daily. We ordered hot water and they brought a dirty used coffee pot. They left the dirty brush in the toilet area. Didn't pick it up until the following day. Asked us if we could place it outside the door. Took forever to bring blankets. They got maybe 8/10 requests wrong and charged us for some and denied that, so wasn't able to get a refund. wasn't much, but principally speaking it's horrible feeling in the midst of many things going wrong. Atmosphere - 90% (small weird sewage smell almost everywhere except the room) Vibe - 80% Cost - 75% should be more enjoyable for the price imo... i dont mind paying extra for experience when its on point Food - 60% (first meal, room-service, was incredible {and cost matched that} every other meal on property lacked in all ways except the sushi which we enjoyed as a snack before going to dinner off site. Really over priced in general but the experience and design makes it palatable. Service - 2 stars overall (except for our concierge who had to deal with her associates lack of professionalism and incredible number of mistakes made each day). Location/architecture,view - 100 (If it wasn't for the sound of the ocean slapping the rocks below our balcony and the sound of the waves soothing us at night, waking up to the most amazing view from bed facing the ocean and the sunrise and also the sunsets each night with a great breeze and insane temperatures than this trip would probably have been all bad. My suggestion. Book 1-2 nights for the location and view then find a better spot elsewhere.

There are no concierge reliably onsite. You are given a WhatsApp number to text and sometimes they can be very slow to respond. First issue I ran into was the concierge's lack of punctuality and poor communication regarding bike rentals. She promised a bike at 8am but 15 mins before the agreed upon time texted me that she could not follow through. I agreed to wait until 10 but was delayed a second time until 11. The second delay was not even communicated to me without my prompting. See chat screenshots. The main issue was my balcony was flooded by careless guests upstairs who left their outdoor tub running (see pic). I was splashed and had to change. My phone also got wet and I could not charge it for the rest of the night until it dried. I could have had other valuables such as electronics out that could have been irreparably damaged and I could not use either loungers, which were soaking wet for the rest of the day/night. The water ran for 10 mins before hotel staff could stop it. No one came to clean my balcony. However, most disappointing was the concierge's refusal to take accountability for the incident (again, see screenshots). I would have been happy with a complementary margarita but instead was completely dismissed. I asked to speak to a manager on site and was told there were none. I asked for an email address or phone number and was given only the reservation email address. I detailed my experience in an email and waited 2 weeks before righting this review. No one replied. It is my experience that guests' conduct at the hotel is within the control and part of the hotel's responsibility and that top tier hospitality establishments, which I had assumed Azulik to be, value customer satisfaction and have accountability. I was sadly wrong.

At Punta Piedra, my room was cleaned daily, with new towels, and they had a nice bowl of water by my door for me to wash off my sandy feet. The owner of the place was really helpful in explaining the taxi/bus system and in calling me cabs (we'd been ripped off at the airport and were nervous) and I liked having someone I could trust. I locked my stuff in the safe every night and in the day when we went out (two MacBooks, an iPad, passports) and nothing was stolen. The safe didn't feel very secure -- the lock was kind of iffy, but the room did, and as we had a beach view, and a private building, it would have been hard for a stranger to rob us. The sea was gorgeous and blue, but had some seaweed in it, as we'd expected. However: there's a way around this. Walk up or down the beach (you can get to this by climbing over the rocks at the side, or a looooong walk via road) and stretches of the beaches there (not all, but some) were seaweed free; the tide does what it wants, right? I did some searching on a travel app and up popped La Conchita at a very reasonable price. And while the reviews were great, I still wasn't sure what to expect since this place was 1/3 the price of other nearby hotels. Well, all I can say is: wow. This adorable, hyperlocal little mini resort is everything we were looking for. It features a cluster of grass-roofed cabanas surrounding a lush, tropical courtyard filled with white Caribbean sand. Every room has an outdoor seating area (some larger than others) so you can enjoy the ocean - which is only steps away as La Conchita is located right on the beach. It was so amazing to be lulled asleep every night by the loud, crashing waves. The property is no frills - there's no on-site spa, bar, or restaurant. But there's a beach club literally right next door which you can order from while enjoying La Conchita's private (and complimentary to guests) palapas and beach mattresses. There are also massages available in the beach area for a reasonable price - we saw many people partaking of them while we were there. Our room itself was big, bright, and comfortable. The bed was luxurious, the bathroom small-but-clean; and the room contained all the basic amenities we could need for our short visit: a small fridge to keep the beers cold, and a Nespresso machine for morning coffee. Our unit (#5) faced the beach directly, and we spent lots of time on our patio, watching the waves crash and the palm trees blow in the breeze. There are also several restaurants and bars lining the street, all within walking distance. Our favorite was Potheads, and elevated coffee shop with delicious food (and espresso, of course). We also dined at the tapas bar next door and it was delicious. They also offer a 10% discount to La Conchita guests for breakfast and dinner. When we left La Conchita we both agreed we can't wait to go back here on our next trip to the area!
