Spacious shower, which was welcome after the Tirano hotel. I would stay here again if we ever return to Chur.

Bathtub and shower and a comfy bed. The break fast buffet is great and offers a chef that prepares fresh hot dishes, besides the usual selections. The only thing I was missing was a wellness area with a hot tub after a long day on the ski slopes. The trainstation and one of the cablecars are just 500m away.

They offered us a drink at the bar but apparently the second drink after 45minutes was not included and we had to pay it separately with our mail afterwards even though it was approved by the manager. Manager made a big scene about not being able to pay for the second drink so after paying for a $180.- bill, it was not worth to argue for over 20 minutes about 2 drinks and we gave up and just paid for the drinks. We will never return to a restaurant with such arrogant management and arguing about $20 especially since we know it costs the restaurant only $5.- for the drinks. I will def. not come back and let my friends know about the bad experience. Do not get blind sided by the recommendation from other hotels to get a bad service and be treated like you don't matter

The first time I was in a four-person room, and it seemed a bit cramped, but the second time I was in a two-person room, and the room looked quite spacious with the bunk beds, little table with two chairs, sink, and plenty of storage space. It's a 20-minute walk or a CHF 15 taxi ride from the train station. Fairly quiet surroundings, as it's right next to the ski slope, but the walls are a bit thin, so you can hear rowdy people on the floor. Simple yet ample buffet breakfast of multiple kinds of bread, cereal, hot and cold drinks, meats, cheese, and yogurt. Dinner was Riz Casimir, salad, creamy pea soup, bread, water, and some kind of berry pudding for dessert. There's a bar in the hostel and plenty of comfy sofas for lounging around and watching tv. I paid CHF 215 for 2 nights in a 2-bed room + breakfast & dinner including a ski ticket for 2 days. I would say it's a pretty good deal, as this place is quite close to the ski run #15, too.

We ended up paying CHF 145 per person, per night for accommodations, breakfast and dinner and ski lift passes. That's an amazing deal, especially in an expensive country like Switzerland. The room that we got was spartan but perfectly clean and comfortable. There was a shared bathroom that again was very clean. The included meals were fine and as someone who's accustomed to inedible hotel breakfasts in the US I was impressed that a low-cost hostel would have a decent meal in the morning. The only annoyance that I could think of was that it was a pretty significant uphill walk from the train station (we ended up paying for a taxi since we were lugging boots and skis) but on the whole this was a great find.

The architecture is quite interesting, since there is a significant contrast between the rustic main hotel, and the ultra-modern HUGE spa. The rooms are quite spacious, very well appointed, and all seemingly quite new. The bathrooms are awesome, with overhead rain showers, and they are all covered in the same granite they used in the spa. The views from the private balconies are great overlooking the mountain, especially at night. There are three restaurants in the hotel: large formal dining room, a more intimate upscale restaurant directly adjacent, and a more rustic, classically Swiss restaurant downstairs, complete with kegelbahn. All three restaurants are great. If you're in Arosa during the winter, you're probably there to ski. There is a ski shop on site with everything you need. I normally travel with my own skis, but I didn't want to schlep them all the way to Europe, and I'm glad I didn't. Tschuggen is pretty much ski-in, ski-out, and there is a really awesome monorail that takes guests directly from the hotel to the mountain. This was seriously one of the coolest monorails I've ever been in. The spa is one of the best I've ever seen; if not, then it was certainly the largest. The pool area is massive. The dry sauna is also quite large, and really well done in logs of wood. Every day during our stay there are special Aufguss sessions, which were always nice. I'd been skiing in Switzerland twice prior, once in Davos and the other time in St. Moritz. Arosa was my favorite, thanks in large part to the Tschuggen.

Check-in was quick and easy. Our room was clean and spacious. The extra closet space in the living room was greatly appreciated. There were both a shower stall and a separate shower/tub combination in the bathroom. Water pressure and temperature were reliable every day. The restaurant across from the lobby was also quite nice with delicious meals and friendly service. There's both garage and street parking, but only a few spots on the street level. There's a supermarket right next to the hotel and a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops along the street. Although we did have a rental vehicle, we also took advantage of the free public transportation provided to the local areas. The hotel's receptionist gave each of us a free Davos-Klosters Card. This card has many benefits, including free train travel between the towns and free bus travel within Davos as well as many other discounts and benefits. Davos, Switzerland is truly beautiful and I do recommend to everyone. The Hilton Garden Inn really exceeded our expectations.

This hotel is either freshly renovated or brand spanking new. Whoever was responsible for the fit-out has done a super job! The rooms are perfect. Nothing overstated, but hitting the mark. I like a shower that is not in a bath tub, because let's be honest, who really uses the bathtub? Let's just say that the photos on the website, do the place justice. This is one of the exceptions where the photos match the real life. The bar was simple but stylish with a selection of cocktails available. I did have to ask for my mojito to be made stronger the second time around ;) The restaurant was also up to my standards. I order the Rind tartar which was perfect, and the Züri geschnetzles which was also good. The rösti was top notch, but I have had better geschnetzles. Maybe excusable because we were in graubunden ;) The restaurant got extremely busy and the wait staff were hard working and friendly. Management were also attentive that people were enjoying their stay. I didn't try out the sauna or dampfbad so can't comment. A hot tub/pool would be a nice addition to this hotel as what else do you need after a long day skiing? Fair to say this place comes with a price at 300CHF per night on price comparison websites, but from what I understand, this is expected for accomodation in Davos during the high season and was comparable to other hotels in the area.

At 85 francs for a single it is one of the best deals in Glarus. Book directly with the hotel and save, on line they wanted 120 francs. The owners, Rene and Barbara, (and Lia) were working when I stayed and they were obviously dedicated to making sure that each guest had the best ever visit to Elm. And I strongly recommend a visit to Elm for anyone who likes the Alps! The hotel restaurant featured various dishes made with wild game and it was delicious. I tried the cheapest red wine and found it to be quite good. (In my mind, both the cheapest and most expensive wines at a restaurant should be enjoyably drinkable but, that's not case at most restaurants.) The hotel restaurant has a deck which is one of the best places to sit/read and enjoy the Alpine scenery and watch the constant activity of high altitude dairy farming.
