The hotel staff is friendly, helpful, and nice but clearly overwhelmed... Stayed in room 126. The best way to describe my overall experience in three words is: moist, damp, and mildewy to the point where the entire bathroom was rusted. I will preface this review with the fact that I stay in hotels roughly ~115 days per year with a mix between all US brands. (I have Platinum Elite status with Choice Hotels.) This is by far the worst hotel I have stayed at in the last 6+ years, to include internationally, in second and third world countries. I very rarely leave a review but in this case, I felt the need to conduct a review. I did not bother to provide this information to the hotel staff nor ask for or provide them an opportunity to offer compensation or even change the room. Based on feedback from the other individuals in my group, their rooms were in a very similar condition. Some of them slept in their clothes on top of the beds due to the poor conditions and appearance of unclean rooms. The room was extremely run down and the bathroom was disgusting. Honestly, if I had the opportunity and time that night, I would have just left and stayed somewhere else. (I have photos for proof of the following). The shower/tub had a massive hairball on the drain indicating the room had not been cleaned and there were large brown streak marks in the tub. Although it appeared that someone had defecated in the tub, it was actually rust because I attempted to wipe and clean the tub prior to taking a shower. I used toilet paper to pick up the hair so there is no excuse or reason for it to have been there if the room had been properly cleaned. My wife was so uncomfortable with the unsanitary conditions that she placed a towel down in the tub in order to keep her feet clean while in the shower. Everything metal in the room was rusted, some to the point there was no shine/coating left, including all the lamps, the towel/linen racks, and base of the doors. The bathroom counter was clearly unfinished and just added to the overall extremely poor condition of the room. The smoke detector was removed from the wall and there were exposed wires and a large hole. It seemed so out of place, and based on the totality of the circumstances, I climbed on the bed and used a phone flashlight to check for any "devices." There was a significant amount of, what appeared to be, candle wax dripped on the carpet around the end of the bed. The A/C unit was extremely loud and had a constant loud buzzing noise (whistle), although it was able to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. The staff was nice enough but upon arrival, I did have to wait, saying hello a couple times, walking and wandering around the lobby and storage room areas, finally locating an employee who could check us in. I was completely and utterly disappointed with my accommodations. I seriously hope my review is taken seriously and major actions are taken to improve the experience for future guests. I come to the area annually and I will never stay at this property again, and frankly it makes me question the Choice brand in its entirety. read more

I wanted to stay in the Super 8 right by the bridge. But you'll see my review there. Horrid management. I looked around for ANY other hotels matching: under $100 and indoor rooms (tired of rooms that open to the outside). Turns out the ONLY other match was... literally just up the street. A bit higher up the hill with gorgeous views of the river and bridges, and nice quiet rooms that are very spacious. It took several minutes for the front desk person to return when I arrived - this was unideal but at least she confirmed there are rooms here. I got one. I settled right in. Everything I possibly wanted. Bed was comfy with several pillows. AC was nice and quiet with continuous fan. Sink water was tasty. I spent two nights here in superb comfort and quiet, and went to check out after that. No one at the desk. I called out. Walked around, called louder. NO ONE WAS THERE TO CHECK ME OUT. I finally just put my keys on their computer and left. I assume they figured out at some point I left. But yeah, that's why 4 stars instead of 5. As much as I love this place, there's still an issue getting to the front desk. (And I tried calling them a couple of times later in the day - busy signals. So... something's wrong.) Since I have to leave a star to leave this review I'm leaving 1. If I could I'd leave ZERO. Firstly, this is not the type of hotel I frequent. But it was one night and my daughter made the reservation. Thinking, okay one night, how bad can it be? Well, let me tell you how bad. We were given a room on the 3rd floor. Two times we had to have the key card reactivated because it wouldn't unlock the door. When we entered, the room smelled HORRIBLE! I immediately pulled back the sheets to check for bed bugs. I didn't see bed bugs per se but I knew instantly the linens were not changed when I got in bed and smellled a whiff of whoever slept in the bed last. Pure funk! I got up, went back downstairs and asked for all clean linens. Not just sheets. Comforter and all. Lady at desk was pleasant and said, I can move you 2 doors down to a suite, same price. I said as long as it's clean I'll take it. Y'all!!! Please see the pics. The headboard should literall y be in the garbage. I just said my prayers and hoped morning would come soon. Natchez, MS location.....My guy just left from trying to get a room. There were signs, indeed, that said they werent taking anymore guests but my guy didnt see it due to him being up for 24 hrs working and driving in from Tennessee. I sat in the car but wasn't looking up to see anything. The front desk guy had a nasty attitude, saying didn't you read the sign? Go read them again. That man barley keeping his eyes open and just needs to sleep!!!! Poor choice of words for customer service my guy. GET IT TOGETHER!! read more

Just finished a 4 day stay. I've traveled a lot in my lifetime and this was by far one of worst hotel experiences. Where to start: 1) The front desk checked me in (while on the phone) without a word to me from start to finish. I received zero information and was given the impression I was disturbing them when I tried to ask for information. 2) Paid extra for a river view, didn't get it. 3) Upon arriving in my room the sheets were wet (this was at 430pm, not an early check in) 4) The phone room was so busted up with buttons missing, I had to look up the number on my cell phone and call the front desk on my mobile. 5) There was long hair from previous guests all over the shower curtain. Won't be back. I'd suggest checking out the Grand. Will most likely try there next. read more

I'm horribly disappointed in the conditions of the room my family members checked into last week while visiting for my grandmother's 85th birthday party. The room clearly had not been cleaned from the previous guest! The beds were unmade and there was used bath towels all over the bathroom floor! When my family members contacted the front desk they were told housekeeping was gone for the evening, there wasn't anymore rooms available and no refund was offered???? Who's running this place! Stayed there years ago. Planned a 3 day stay. The check-in process was complicated. The first room we were given had not been clean from Prevost guest. Our room was upgraded. We tried entering the new room but the key wouldn't work. We were given another upgraded room. Once we're inside, we were instantly disappointed. The room was nothing like our stay before. We requested a check out and booked another hotel. I viewed my account to see I'd been charged twice for the hotel stay and a $95.06 charge. The General Manager tried convincing me the only charge the hotel submitted was one charge for the 3 night stay and was unaware of the other charge. My bank confirmed the 3 charges were submitted by the hotel. This was a frustrating experience to be so far from home with so much money tied up by the hotel who refused to accountability for the error they made. I would definitely not recommend this hotel. After receiving my room number and key card, I was told the pool and bar were closed for renovations. I took the elevator to my floor and saw that my room number was 330, but the signs said the rooms only went to 329. After finding my room, which was easy to locate after noticing the huge black stain in front of it, I entered. The room appeared orderly, but upon closer inspection I noticed the black snake-like stain on the floor between the bed and dresser. Then, noticed the white, crusty stains on the couch. The bathroom fixtures were all rusting. The mat in the bathtub to prevent slips (which I later found did not), was stained and peeling. Did I check into a hotel of horrors? After a week or sweaty field work, I needed to do laundry. I asked a lady at the front desk with haunted eyes where the laundry was. She informed me it was closed. I groaned (or was it a ghost? It wasn't the spirits, the bar was closed), and proceeded to look up local laundromats- one of which was inoperable and the other did not exist, it's location according to maps was in an intersection. I washed my laundry in the bathtub of my room. Despicable. Ghastly. 10/10 in terror, 0/10 in hospitality. read more

Traveler Beware! If I give zero stars, I would. I attempted to stay here July 25, 2021, with my three grandchildren. We checked in at 1630, dropped everything off in room and headed to pool. I had two small grandchildren 1 & 4 as well as 12 year old. First, kiddie pool was green and non functional. So I had to hold them at edge of big pool. Not very "relaxing" by the pool. I was accosted by another guest who told me I could not be on that end and basically threatened me. Made me move, which I did. Amazing what you tolerate for kids to have a good time, which 12 year old was thoroughly enjoying. Went back to room changed the little ones then was about to settle in the bed. Pulled back covers and headboard revealed vinyl that had been eaten up by something. Was very flimsy. I could just image the little ones pulling at this and grabbing handful and putting it in mouth thereby choking. I took picture, showed front desk clerk and was given new room. Packed up, myself and children and moved upstairs to new room where I found same situation, if not worse. Again took pictures. This time I packed everyone up and we went down. It's 1930 at this time. I requested refund. There was no one to issue refund at night but would have manager call me. After 9 calls and numerous emails, I get a response they won't refund. Manager actually said I was at hotel too long. Said that I used pool and was now complaining for refund. I explained children do not go to bed at 1630. I explained the choking hazard. They do not care about safety, or cleanliness. No customer service skills. I had to check out and go to Magnolia Bluff for room. Vue has great view but that is where the greatness ends. We recently stayed at Hotel Vue and were greatly disappointed. The Visit Natchez webpage says this about the hotel: Rest where the river bends. Hotel VUE's history lends itself to a perfect dose of Southern hospitality while its modern vibe ushers guests into the "new" Natchez. At Hotel VUE, you can enjoy majestic river views, cocktails as strong as our accents, and a piping hot breakfast served with a side of Mississippi warmth. Hotel VUE accommodations include an outdoor pool, hot tub, breakfast, fitness center, restaurant, in room amenities, and much more. We did not receive comfort, amenities or charm. There was no Southern hospitality or modern vibe (the bathmat had huge ragged holes, the lamp and towel rack were rusted, the headboard's cheap plastic covering was peeling). Our majestic river view was of a blank wall through a dirty algae covered window. The bar and restaurant were closed, so no strong cocktails. When I arrived at my room, I was startled to find my hotel room door wide open and the TV was on. I returned to the front desk and was disappointed that the Hotel clerk said the cleaning crew left the door open and was gone for the day. I was more than disappointed, because the Hotel clerk was so nonchalant during this COVID-19 pandemic. I requested the room be cleaned again and the Hotel clerk said she was the only person available and could no leave the front desk. All of the hotel rooms in Natchez are sold out, so I'm in a bind. This place should be closed until the owners can find someone, anyone, who actually cares to work there. I'd be ashamed to have my name associated with it if I was them. I was on the road for 30 days and this was by far the worst experience I had with any hotel. Upon checking in the front desk receptionist, Miesha told me there was no hot water. I later learned that the hotel's restaurant and bar are not operating and the laundry (which I needed) and the fitness center were all closed because they weren't working. The elevator floors were torn up, their inspections are overdue, the headboard on the bed was ripped apart, the carpets are filthy, even the coffee maker in my room didn't work. NO ONE WORKS HERE. The two couples in front of my tried to cancel their reservations and Miesha assured them they wouldn't be charged, but based on my experience I bet they were. I agreed to stay bc I was tired, there was nothing else available and Miesha offer me a $30 discount. She said she couldnt do it that night, but her manager could and called her manager, Allison, who I spoke to personally on the phone. Allison assured me if I called her on Monday she would refund $30 of the bill. Of course on Monday Allison wasn't available. I emailed her on Tuesday but no response. On Wednesday I spoke to her on the phone and after politely and patiently listening to her make one excuse after another why she couldn't keep her word, and how she had to fire Miesha, she told me she didn't have to "put up" with me and actually hung up on me. The A/C was not working and I woke up in a sweat. I went to front desk to resolve and was told there was nothing they could do because I booked with Amex Travel and the manager was not in. Was told to check back, she will be in @8 it's 9:15 and she still isn't here. Amex Travel tried calling on my behalf twice, the manger isn't in. The hotel is supposed to have a hot tub, it was out of order. My bathroom floor was full of water when I got in and the room smells like mildew, on top of it feeling like it's a sweltering 100 degrees. I left early and unhappy because they can't or won't solve my issue. I could have accepted a room change but apparently that's not possible without the manager who is not there or not reachable. Photo shows a/c on 60, cool, and high but it was not working. The only reason I gave it a two star is because the view of the river and bridge is nice even though I had to go outside to see it because my room was facing the parking lot. Disappointed and will not return. I will be checking into the very nice Natchez Grand. read more

I am a L30 traffic control worker. We are in town staying at the Hotel Vue since Sunday November 26, 2023. We are scheduled to be here until Friday. Since we have been here their have been very poor service, for one we haven't had a room key. We keep having to be let into our room. My co-worker is very careless. We leaves the door adjurned, while I am asleep, so he can get back into the room putting I in danger. So I contacted my Supervisor's to get staff to give use keys to our rooms. Today after we did a 11 hour shift staff faked like they made us room keys in the keys still didn't work. But they made Maintenance keys, in let us in the rooms again, also I had my personal items tampered with, in possibly money stolen, after my Co-worker instructed for 2 days for the room to be clean while we was at work. I didn't like my things being taken in moved inside my dresser draws.. On Monday we asked for coffee to be made. In the next morning no coffee was made before we went to work. This is the Hotel room from hell! It looks clean but bad service. My Co-worker also stated he had to put water into towlet tank to flush it our first night. I recently had the experience of staying at Hotel Vue for an extended weekend. I attempted to discuss my grievance with the management, however they were at the store and never attempted to contact me after my request. When I entered my room, I noted that the carpet wasn't clean (debris all over the floor), uneaten cookies on the floor, the remote was sticky, and there was an obvious stay on the chair in the main portion. Later that night when I returned to shower, I discovered the bath floor towel had holes in it. My concern is that a hotel team member made the conscious decision to fold and place a floor towel with holes in it out for guest. Regardless of the price point, the expectation of a clean room with decent basic needs is not to much to ask, but considering the price point, I was shocked. I was able to find a room attendant whom I pointed out the obvious problem and the reply was do I need another towel. Not wanting to misplace blame or treat someone unfairly, I replied yes and asked if she would mind vacuuming the room. She proceeded to vacuum only one portion and not the sitting area, which needed it the most. Additionally, I discovered hidden behind the bed pillows, a damaged headboard. It is my hope that someone from this establishment takes the time to not only read this but recognize the missed opportunity and ensure their staff focus on doing the right thing and taking sanitation/quality seriously. My twin and I were on a 5 day road and decided to stop in Natchez for a couple of days. This hotel was chosen because of a previous stay by my twin. We found this hotel to be one the nices hotels in Natchez..We experienced almost every area of this hotel, and found it to be outstanding. The service from the restaurant with Ms. Annie and Ms. Keshia was outstanding. They went above and beyond and should be commended. The food and beverage manager, Mr. Pitts consistently showed up and made himself available to us. He suggested that we have breakfast that next morning and we did. We shared with him how great everything was, so we went back for dinner. He was visible again, asking us how our meal was. The bartender (a female) was also friendly. The rooms have been painted and deep cleaned, they have new air conditioning units, the staff is extremely friendly and the Pilot House food is the best in Natchez. Stayed there for a getaway with a few girlfriends and our carpet was wet when we arrived, our "queen" beds were most certainly doubles, our toilet did flush and almost overflowed serval times (even after we mentioned it all they did was plunge it), the fridge was warm, the phone didn't work unless you relentlessly pounded the speaker key, asked for extra pillows for the four of us and was brought 1, even after asking twice. Extremely rude and condescending manager. I was going to check in and over heard the manager, appeared to be young and used very aggressive tone, telling a mature couple that " the world has changed and we are short staffed". They were wanting to check in before the check in time and was given a hard No and that's it. They had a long exhausting day and wasn't even given the chance to check in. Nobody was at the desk but was confronted out front. I immediately cancelled my reservation as did they based on how they were treated. Little did the manager know that gentleman was a military veteran and his wife was a nurse. I think they are well aware how much the world has changed. read more

DO NOT WAST YOUR MONEY!!!! That's what I did. I was so displeased with this hotel that I cancelled my reservation even though I had a 100$ cancellation fee. I was getting married and upon check in we were treated so rudely that we stepped away from the counter and were like, ya know what, we're not staying here. You'd think the hospitality staff would be happy to welcome in an excited bride and groom but we were treated like we were putting this girl out by checking in. I was also told by another guest checking out that she had same issue and was not given the room she had booked, her room with a view was a room with wall! I have stayed here a couple of times during work-related business trips. My first stay was for 3 months and my second stay was for 3 weeks. The hotel front desk staff is very friendly and courteous. Unfortunately, I can only give this hotel one star. I travel quite frequently for work and I have stayed in many different hotels. This is the first time in all of my years of traveling for work, that I had stuff stolen out of my room. A hotel can be perfect in every other way, but if you can't trust that housekeeping will not steal from you during your stay, then this establishment can really be no more then a one-star establishment. This is a serious issue and the hotel really needs to address this with housekeeping. read more

The hotel looks fairly new with a really nice decor. Love the furniture and accessories that were used in the design; contemporary yet warm and inviting. We were able to get a good military discount therefore, the rate was excellent for this hotel and our room had a view of the Mississippi River which was certainly a plus. The complimentary southern breakfast that was served in the nice restaurant was more than expected. We are used to other hotels of this level to provide only a continental breakfast that is loaded with sugar and not a lot of nutrition. However, this hotel serves a complimentary plate of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and a fluffy biscuit. Parking is right in front of the hotel so we felt that our car was secure. Staff was friendly and accommodating! We have enjoyed our stay here and would certainly come back. read more

My girlfriend and I reserved a romance package, and had the most amazing time. We had reservations in The Pilot House overlooking the Mighty Mississippi. The firecracker shrimp was absolutely devine, we highly recommend it to anyone going to eat here. On top of that the redfish and asparagus was also awesome. Top it all off with some amazing red wine and spectacular service, we had the most phenomenal time. Our room was also top of the list, great view of the river, huge Jacuzzi tub, great room service and very very clean. Mack Kennington did absolutely everything perfect, from special request to just having some great authentic conversation. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Natchez. I don't even want to give 1 star but we at least had hot water. We were part of a group for an AllStars softball tournament and all was arranged ahead and confirmed ahead. Once we got there to check in I was told they did t have a room for us since we failed to check in the night before. So we were charged for a room and weren't even there! They had to 'find' us a room which took over an hour. Kids were tired and hungry plus we needed to get ready for a ballgame or we were going to be late. They found us a room that was 20 plus degrees hotter then the other floors in the hotel. That night our coach is called to front desk because they have 4 rooms that no one had checked into so he would be charged for those rooms. Uh, hello!? Where where those 4 rooms when we needed one. 3 of those rooms would've been used by the ones at other hotels because they were told they didn't have rooms (even though they were ALREADY blocked out earlier for our team). The second day the hotel was out of clean towels. Yes! So, we reused ours an others had to wait. The main elevator was also out of order. I can take stairs but what about the elderly or handicapped? Thankfully a small elevator in the back corner was working. We were told they were doing renovations so maybe they just didn't have their act together. If it was just 1 family out of the 14 that had problems I maybe gave a better review, but nearly all of us had an issue. Some even went without air conditioning. Ugh! 96 degrees outside too. The coach was there till 2:50 trying to check out but was being over charged around $1500. Was told nothing could be done till the next day. What a joke! The sales team didn't communicate with the hotel staff or something. Other people in our group were overcharged even after we were quoted a rate prior to our stay. The view from the Vue is awesome but the experience at the Vue was NOT! Stay somewhere else unless you don't care if you are charged extra for 'computer problems'. read more

The hotel is called the Vue. The only view I had from my window was of the parking lot. Also the phone didn't work in the room and the AC barely worked. There was no literature for any place to eat or attractions to see in Natchez. The bar for your clothes in the closet had rust and mold on it and you could tell where the old shower rack for your towels was because they didn't paint when the new one went up. For a hotel I would not suggest this place. I also opened my screenless window to relieve the smell of the room. read more

unsafe and overpriced don't stay here ! mgmt does not care about guest safety. access to rooms was not secured. mgmt was not concerned about it. doors to rooms had been wide open for quite some time. felt like an invitation to theft, mugging or rape. to top it off the room was $90 / night. for an unclean, unsafe dump of a room - you have got to be kidding. worst night in a hotel in my life. no sleep worrying about break ins. if you dont get raped in the room youll get raped at checkout with high prices and insensitive mgmt. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE!!! Our family hosted our 2019 reunion here. The front desk staff was very nice and professional at all times. The housekeeping staff was rude and disrespectful. I checked in on July 3, 2019 and checked out July 7, 2019. Not once, the entire stay, did housekeeping knock on the door to see if we needed service. We would see them in the hall and try to quickly get out of the room so they could come in and clean, but when we would return, the room would be in the same condition we left it in. EVERY SINGLE DAY I had to go downstairs to the front desk and request that someone come and clean our room. Then when they would come, there was always the question of what we needed done in the room. Uh... we need the room cleaned!!! Take out the trash, bring fresh linen, make the beds! You know... standard things that should be done in every hotel room all the time! Well, they never got it, so every day, we went to the front desk and every day someone that was not our assigned cleaning lady would come to the room to clean it after the other staff had gone for the day. The most disturbing thing to happen for my family took place in my sister's room. She, her husband and two small children shared a room. The baby slept in the play pin and she and her husband slept in the bed closest to the door because the bed closest to the window looked as though it was broken. They decided it would be best for my 6-year-old niece to sleep there since she was little and could get comfortable. Amazingly, she didn't have to sleep in that bed until the last night of their stay because she was always upstairs with her cousins for a sleepover. The last night of our family planned activities, everyone said their goodbyes and all the children returned to their parents' rooms to prepare for travel. My niece went back with her parents to their room and her dad pulled back the sheet to put her in the bed. Around 8:30 in the morning, my niece woke up stating that she felt something hard in her bed. When my sister asked her what it was, she said she didn't know but it scratched her. My sister got up and turned on the light and pulled back the sheets, only to find A DRIED POOL OF BLOOD on the sheets. Well!!! How disgusting is that. My sister met me at the front desk and told me and the ladies working what happened. The manager for housekeeping told my sister that the rooms had been cleaned and that they must have put it there! My sister was furious as was I. The manager for housekeeping asked to step aside to speak with her. I, my other sister and my mother followed. My sister insisted that the manager come to the room to see for herself what she was talking about. The manager came but she also grabbed the housekeeper for that floor and brought her there. When they came in the room, they accused my sister of bleeding on the bed and trying to blame it on them. The housekeeper said that she had changed the sheets on the bed closest to the bathroom but had not changed the sheets on the other bed because there was a hanger on it. She said that she changed the other bed because there was makeup on the sheets, and they needed to be washed. We questioned the last time the sheets were changed on the bed closest to the window and were told they were changed before we checked into the hotel. That means that the blood had been there, and it was covered up. The housekeeping manager and the housekeeper called us a lie and yelled at my sister stating that the sheets were changed and that they never requested that the room be cleaned in the first place. We spoke with the hotel manager and she apologized profusely, stating that it is standard practice that the rooms be cleaned every day and the sheets be changed and fresh towels be provided daily. We informed her that this never happened the entire stay. She did comp this room for the entire stay, however, there needs to be an overhaul of this entire department. My room was on the 3rd floor and my sister was on the 1st. The housekeeping issues were on all floors, not just one person. This was completely disgusting, and I will never stay here again. read more

This hotel has a great view yet poor customer service. We checked in Thursday front desk rude. Yet another help us she was friendlier. Walking to our room had a mildew smell. Finally got our room it was somewhat ok. We needed to shower to go meet family, well drain was not draining had to take shower in standing water. Reported to front desk said take care of it. Returned that evening and still not fixed. Friday reported, Saturday and Sunday still not fixed. Kept saying it was but wasn't. Front desk mgr not understanding and kept pushing it off. Housekeeping didn't clean our room had to call them also. It was inconvenience to us due to tying to get to a wedding no clean towels plus drainage not fixed in shower!! During this process the housekeeping and maintenance trying to fix and clean while we are to get dressed. Explained if they can come back in 15-20 minutes. Yet no the got upset with us, really. Also ladies breakfast rude no customer service. Sat down 1 breakfast that's it, need better severs. No one ever apologized or offered a new room. I knowing its booked but still problem never got resulted. Durning check out the front desk clerk hands me my bill. I show her pictures of the water in tub plus other things, all she said thAnk u here's ur bill. While the maintenance man seating behind the desk on chair reclined against the wall, wow. This is worst time I've had in a hotel, we visit Natchez 3-4 x's a year for family. I will never or recommend this hotel. Not worth ur money and time! Rudeness and inconsiderate of the guest. Manager was never on duty when needed. No one offered to call the manager just brushed us off. I did speak to couple of the guest they felt the same had same issues plus some checked out early and left. We couldn't due to family and wedding!! Very disappointed! I stayed in suite 318 and all I can say is wow, what an awesome stay. Had a meeting 3 others I know stayed there and everyone of us commented on the rooms and the view. We enjoyed the bar and some food that evening. The bartenders were the best. So much so that they did not even tell us when the bar closed. We finally had to ask. I would recommend this as a quit relaxing destination. read more
