Freising (fry sing) is a small town, untouched by WW II. The town and hotel were used by American forces as a headquarters after WW II. It is charming, easy to walk around and full of decent stores, shops and restaurants. Cobbled stone streets and clean as can be. The hotel is, likewise, clean and sited right in the middle of the main street. Very convenient for your explorations. The staff speaks excellent English and has been very accommodating as to directions and recommendations. Breakfast is served in their own dining room and you can either use the buffet itself, or special order eggs and some other custom breakfast items. You will need to eat lunch and dinner in the town.

It's Europe, so we should've known, but our non-smoking room smelled like smoke. I think they need to rip out the carpet (the room was all carpet) and install LVP. We had to leave the window open and run the fan continuously to make it bearable. Otherwise, our room was comfortable and spacious. The best part of this hotel is the breakfast. The best hotel breakfast I've ever had. Hands down. I'm not sure I'll have another like it. That's worth a stay here all on its own.

I stayed here with friends after our day in Munich. We were on the way home from Italy, and stopped…read moreto visit Dachau before getting to the airport the next day. As you can imagine, going to Dachau made for a difficult day, and I was ready to have some time for quiet and reflection by early evening. This hotel was lovely, a bright beacon on the road. It was sparkling clean. The room was quite comfortable, and you can see the photo I've attached. There wasn't much around, although my friend and I did go for a short walk while it was still light outside. They do have a fairly large parking lot, which is helpful, and a restaurant that from what I could tell was not open solely to guests. I had pancake soup as part of my dinner, which is something I had never heard of, nor had before or since. It was quite good, though, and I'd have it again if I ever found it. They also offer a continental breakfast which was nice in the morning. I'd have no qualms about staying here again or recommending it to someone else for a visit.
