Loved our stay! Service in the restaurants was a bit slow/cold, but the welcome from the check-in staff was phenomenal. It's Europe, so we should've known, but our non-smoking room smelled like smoke. I think they need to rip out the carpet (the room was all carpet) and install LVP. We had to leave the window open and run the fan continuously to make it bearable. Otherwise, our room was comfortable and spacious. The best part of this hotel is the breakfast. The best hotel breakfast I've ever had. Hands down. I'm not sure I'll have another like it. That's worth a stay here all on its own. read more

Not close to airport. 20 minutes and 50 euros later. Check in was slow. I am titanium elite. No award offered. No upgrade. One of the most uncomfortable and small beds ever used at a Marriott. Breakfast was okay. No lounge. Gym is small. Marriott should be ashamed of this property. read more

Besides being conveniently located near the airport, there is also a nice little town located a 10 minute walk from the hotel that offers great shopping for the last minute gift getting before heading home. The breakfast buffet was extremely good and the staff overall was very attentive. read more

This Hotel is basic but very enduring. The location was beautiful and I enjoyed just walking to the city center 5 min away for shopping and sights. The staff were friendly and accommodating but what really sold this hotel was the 30 euro food voucher. It was apart of my 169 euro room rate but anytime I can get a good meal balanced into my rate you will have my attention. On the negative you can tell the hotel is a little dated, and the gym was a massive disappointment which I put alot of weight to. As a traveler a good gym gives me the ability to pull myself together after a long flight. read more

This is an average Marriott hotel with a friendly staff located in Freising, which is a nice little town north of the airport. There are several good things, as well as bad. First the good. Check in was easy with a friendly reception. As mentioned in some reviews, Marriott Gold Status will get you a drink and snack at the bar, which is ok. The room was large and comfortable. There was parking available on site (extra cost). It was nice to stroll through Freising with the main square just a short walk away. Now the bad. It seems like this hotel is old and needs a "refresh." The carpets smelled musty. The common spaces seem a little dirty. The fitness room was adequate for travel, but so stuffed to the brim with machines there wasn't a lot of room to move around. Worse of all for me, though, is the name. This hotel is nowhere near the airport. It's a significant distance away. If you had thoughts of turning in the rental car and walking to the check-in gate, think again. read more

Airport Shuttle stops at 10:30 pm. Also shuttle is not free 19 euros. Taxi is a 39 euro trip. No restaurant or room service after 10 pm, if you get in late tough for you. This is an Airport hotel - they should expect people 24/7. No executive lounge. Absolutely not a value for the money, nor is it welcoming. read more

This hotel is not anywhere near the airport. My upgraded room was nice however the name of the airport is very misleading.

The hotel staff is nice, the rooms are clean (at some points a little dusty) it is 15min drive from the airport located. The breakfast is good with a wide range of different kind of foods. There is a small spa and swimming pool, and a fitness room. Airport shuttle for 10€ p.p. The hotel has a large conference center. 3 mac computers wich you can use as a guest with printint facilities. 2 restaurants and a bar (with live sports events on tv) and a large public parking garage under the hotel. (5min walk in to the city center of Freising and 15min walk from the main train station) read more

Love this new hotel. The staff in this property reminded me of what old fashioned hospitality is all about. They learned that the word "No" has no place in the hospitality industry. We arrived late night and in spite of the fact that the bar and restaurant were closed, we were still served "our" choices of drinks and "hot" food with a smile. The next day at breakfast, two of our visiting non-hotel staying guests were treated by the hotel for a free breakfast as their apology for not upgrading our rooms the night before!!!! I had a laundry issue so I waited to see how it got resolved before posting my review. They were 5 star In their response. Lost laundry- immediately reimbursed (I was the one that held it up; thus this review is almost two months overdue). I liked the vibe of the lobby. The room was warm in decor and welcoming. Shower had a cool graphic on the wall. Pictures of cows in room a little strange. Service was outstanding. No concierge but the check staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. One guy spoke fluent Italian and made an excellent Italian pizza recommendation. Cleanliness perfect Spa area under renovation. This was a bummer. Gym had some basics but a bit depressing. Machines were just ok. I assume this will also get renovated. No clock in the room. No exec lounge so Gold get snack and wine at bar. That worked out well for me. Breakfast buffet large with numerous selections include smoked salmon, fresh fruit, hot foods, etc. I liked it a lot. Makeup mirror in the room No US outlets No English TV stations. Great location for the airport but about a 70 euro cab ride to downtown Munich. Configuration of the bedroom was off- the bed stuck out such that I kept hitting my leg when I passed it to get to the other side of the room. They forgot to clean my room one day I would stay here again! read more

The hotel is very clean, room are what you would expect in Europe. Staff is nice but their youth lacks the personal touch a frequent traveler expects. They had a fire in the basement so no gym, I took in a run and saw the scenery way better that gym. Cocktails service ran slow and waiter at restaurant talked me into sitting at bar so he did not have to pull double duty. The area is sooo nice so once I left the hotel it was all good. read more

Not a bad little restaurant. You can order in the restaurant proper or out near the bar. Recently had the Leberkäse Burger, which was really excellent. But really, when is Leberkäse not good? Service is always nice and they're wiling to let you practice your horrible German on them. Espresso drinks in the bar are also quite good, although a little on the small side. Size comment is probably the jet lag talking though. read more

This is a attractive hotel, but it fails by just about every other measure. And it certainly wasn't worth the nearly $300 a night I was charged for my room. First its name is wrong as it is no where near the Munich Airport. It was nearly a 30 minute cab ride from the airport. It should be called the Freising Hospital Marriott. But if that was its name no one would stay here. Second, while property is new and clean, the mattress in my room offered no support and was clearly in need of replacement. Thirdly, I couldn't order any hot OR cold food after 11 PM from lobby restaurant, bar or from room service. If this were truly an airport hotel, there would be 24/7 (at least cold) food options for travelers arriving from all over. Fourth, there's no ATM on the property. The closest ATM is in the hospital next door, which is quite a long walk to get cash. Finally, while I had a strong wifi signal, there was no working Internet in my room. It took hotel desk staff nearly 15 minutes to call an offsite engineer and get him to reset the modem and router. None of this is what you'd expect from an expensive airport hotel. I won't stay here again and don't recommend other travelers do either. read more
