It's rated a 2 star, and to be honest a 4 star hotel in Copenhagen is not worth it. Most hotels in Copenhagen are needing revamp. So I picked this on rave review on Yelp and trip. It's your standard small space for a hotel room in Europe/Asia. If you want more room, there are larger family rooms with a bedroom. You're in Europe.... hotels are different. But there's inventiveness in design of this hotel: it's utilitarian, each thing in the room has a function. As you settle in, you realize it took the designers lots time to tie a function to any innovation to the room. It's space age-y and it works, almost Clockwork Orange-y and comfy. The layout here is also similar to hotels you'd find in Japan..... very ZEN! The breakfast is a typical Scandinavian/German spread: musli, cereal, yoghurt, 2 -3 charcuterie items, (the pate was super yummy on a seeded bread), cheese, Danish butter, nutella, fruit, boiled eggs, coffee, juice. WIFI was solid and encrypted. Visits: 1 (4 nights) Tip: Ask for a 12th floor, or high corner room, 2 windows (small fee) and look at the entire city. Skies are beautiful in København and love the top floor views here. To get to the metro/trains you walk 7-10 min. Theres a bus stop 2 blocks away. A block a way where the Tivoli Hotel is there are free shuttles and a real bus stop. There are 2 branches of this hotel, pick this one (Carsten Niebuhrs Gade) because it's close to the Tivoli Gardens, main train station and accessible to many attractions. There is no coffee-maker in room but go downstairs and they will make coffee/tea for you for cheap. You can also get snacks, sandwiches and a wine/champagne for a good price too. Bikes are everywhere in Copenhagen and you can rent bikes at this hotel for cheap too.

The bed had European duvets but it all felt dirty, I even spotted stains. The bathroom was a small space pod. The garbage can was annoying to use because you had to press to squeeze it open and didn't feel sanitary. Also, our towels had trouble drying even if they were hanging all day. Walls are very thin. Overall, this experience was just ok. Nothing fancy.

Close to a Metro station, you can take it or walk to Tivoli Gardens and other famous sites. Just a little east of the hotel is a main street with tons of high end shopping and restaurants. My friend and I like more local neighborhoods, so it's not our style, but if you love shopping and tourist locations, it's ideal! 2) Space: It's a spacious hotel that makes good use of the space. There's a large lobby with seats and desks for working. There's an outdoor patio, a rooftop patio, several restaurants, a bar, a gym and a cinema for guests to use. 3) Design: The lobby is designed with quirky paintings and a "Hello Gorgeous" sign in the pink elevator. It's a little trendy, but when you enter the rooms, the design becomes classier. 4) Rooms: For two people, we booked the superior double room and keep in mind it's Europe- the rooms are small! With a smaller bed and not much space to retreat, one of us ended up in the lobby at all times to get the space. 5) Amenities: This is where they shine! In the mornings, they have a table with towels, water bottles and running routes set out. There's free wine from 5pm-6pm and free liqueur from 10pm-11pm daily. Our room came with breakfast and wow! It's in a beautiful space on the basement level and comes with a mimosa bar, a bread area, granola, eggs, sausage, so many good food option. They also have a full coffee area. A few things to keep in mind when staying: 1) Price: Compared to other hotels in the area, it's on the more expensive side. 2) Room: A few things were wrong with our room. The bathroom handle kept breaking off. Also, our shower was slow to drain, often flooding the bathroom after a 5-10 minute shower.

We booked both as wheelchair accessible and while the Marriott has textured bathroom tile floors unlike the St Annæ's slippery smooth tiles, the lower than ADA allowed toilet was a problem. Also only one of the four table lamps worked. The room's door closer and threshold made egress very difficult. Staff was very helpful. The breakfast was good but subpar to the local hotel's. The location is pretty along the harbor, next to BIG's swimming and sauna chalet, and they provide robes and towels for daring guests. However it is a bit isolated from the many nicer local shops and restaurants.

However, it is 15 minute walk to the nearest metro station and city center. There is a hotel restaurant, but no other restaurants nearby within 15 minute walk. This is fine for the summer, but inconvenient in sub-zero temperatures (1/2 star off). I stayed here in February, so found myself rather trapped unless I take a taxi everywhere.

And finally, on my way out - (this was almost 2-years ago so apologize for late review). But when I was checking out Copenhagen was supporting the Tour de France, and a major part of the city was closed to road traffic. I had to get the the ferry terminal (to take the ferry to Oslo - which I highly recommend) And the concierge personally helped me with my bags, and walked me to the subway station and made sure I got on the correct train. During my recent visit, there was construction happening directly above my second floor room and it started at 7AM. When I asked the front desk, they were quick to apologize and offered breakfast which was nice. Apparently, the construction was not suppose to begin until 8AM, but it started at 7AM (at least above my room). At least I had to get up around that time, but the noise was shrill and unpleasant. Also, my room was exceedingly warm even with A/C running all night. I'd try the Skt. Petri again, but check to the status of the construction project. 3 stars during my visit, would expect it to be higher next time.

With that understanding I was delighted with this gorgeous hotel in the Fredericksberg area of Copenhagen. We were two adults in a room, and I'd compare the size of the bed to a small Queen. The bed completely filled the room with a bit of space between the end and the door to the bathroom. There was a round table which was nice for having a place to set things, but took up a lot of room. I'd say the bed was alright, definitely not the most comfortable thing ever, but perfectly fine when you were exhausted from walking around all day! The room had several outlets (just remember to grab a converter!) and beautiful windows that opened to Fredericksberg Alle and since it was June we tended to leave them open all day because there is no air conditioning. There is, however, a large radiator for the winter time so I don't think you'd be cold. There was a small nook in the corner that served as a closet (a very short hanging rack for hangers / no door, but a nice out of the way place to store the suitcases). Along one wall was a padded bench that we also used for storage. We were there to see my friend's family and so I can attest that all residences have TINY bathrooms and this hotel is no exception. You could literally sit on the toilet and put your feet in the shower (which had no lip and we got water everywhere). The sink is also extremely tiny with no counterspace, but once you adjust to not having your things set out, it's fine. Honestly, this place is small, and takes some adjustment, but it's quaint and gorgeous and the staff is SO nice and speaks pretty good English. You also get a complimentary breakfast every morning with some breads from Lagkagehuset (YUM), butter/spread, meats, yogurt, fruit preserves, coffee, juice, milk, tea, and water. It was A) a fantastic way to save money and B) a great start to the day. I'd definitely recommend this hotel again!

Enough hot water for relaxing before or after a day of sightseeing. Clean large soft towels. Windows with blackout curtains. Perfect heat and cooling systems. We're even willing to pay a couple of hundred dollars per night to get the above. Scandic Webers does not deliver until you compare with other hotels in the location. Some may offer slightly better amenities for a considerably higher price. Lower your expectations and keep in mind that the hotel room is for you to sleep in, not sitting and watching tv all day while munching a tasty snack. You can do that at home. The reason you're here is to experience the local lifestyle. Meet local people. Taste local food. Look at beautiful things created by nature or local people.
