Jazzercise - Girl Scout "Junior Jazzercise" event!

For our "Junior Jazzerciser" event, we had 8 Brownie Girl Scouts between 8-9 years old and their moms. We all had a blast. Good music, lots of laughs, and dancing. What more could you want? Our instructors were Ashley and Danielle, and they smiled the entire time and were very interactive. Ashley was the main one and made many Funny comments to get us involved, such as us running as fast as we could to get Girl Scout cookies. We all chuckled as we've all been there (and perhaps ran home to eat some after the calories we burned lol). I coordinated with the owner, Rachel, via text, and she was super easy to work with. She answered all the many questions I had and made sure everything was ready to go for our class date and time I chose. The instructors had the girls' patches ready as well as coupons for the moms. The class was 45 minutes of fun and bonding, and we made sure to take some group pics after. Many of the moms and I hope to use our coupon and return for more fun!

It was so great bc the parents were able to get in a workout but it was still easy enough for the girls to follow. The instructors were also so super friendly and completely welcomed us with open arms. Great, great experience!

It's pretty large and has about every machine and free weight option I could want. The people here also are very friendly. I wish this gym with in the city, I'd workout here everyday!

The gym moved locations shortly after I joined (they didnt bother to actually tell anyone they were moving with a simple email, they just shut the doors and said they would be open the following sunday, which they werent, through they did open the following monday. It took them almost a week to get and fit all the machines inside the newer building). New location looks better, but the move was mostly made so the gym could have the prime location near Ormond Drive (lots of traffic) Most of the actually machines that use plates (weight) are from the 80s and are extremely rusty and gross. Also non of the Olympic bars havent been oiled in ages. The classes there are nice, but I have never taken any. Dumbells do go up to a high weight, but the ones that have been used the most are loose and shift while using them. I went in to see about canceling my membership ( They will force you to pay the $150 ETF no matter) because I am moving, and they told me to call the finance company that handles the monthly payments. Such a lazy way of doing business. If you live close to Cardio Club, it is a decent gym to go to being that it is open 24 hours. But if you just want to do simple things and maybe have a class, go somewhere else. The old rusty machines and laziness when it comes to actually handling customers was a major turn off for me. Prolly the 2nd worse gym I have ever been to in the 16 years I have been going to gym. How to Cancel Your Cardio Club Membership While Under Contract. Just a little follow up on how to cancel your contract with Cardio Club. Hopefully this helps someone else not get the massive headache I now have. Cardio Club only allows you to cancel through certified mail aka snail mail( this is outright insane). They force you to mail the documents to ABC financial, which is in AR. The rep for ABC even asked me if I was explained on the proper way to cancel. I told them I was told to "call the finance company." The only way that you are allowed to cancel is because you are moving (which I am) and I have provide proof with a driver license, utility bill, etc. Cancellation of contracts is mentioned on the back of the contract you sign when you sign up, but all it says about proof is "proof that is satisfactory with management." So in your cancellation document, include that you want email notification that your SNAIL MAIL was received and that your membership contract was canceled on a computer. Address in order to cancel your membership is ABC Financial Services P.O. Box 6800 Sherwood, AR 72124 Cardio Club Could could allow you to cancel through email or even outdated fax, but no, they require you to use a very slow and painful mailing system.

I decided to do the free trial here because this location is convenient. I read a couple reviews before going and it didn't look too promising. It is a small gym and not super crowded, so that is a plus in my book, as you will probably never have to wait for a machine, but it didn't really take me that long to figure out why. I went to their website before going inside and registered for a free trial, but when I went inside the lady said the website is wrong (strange because it is a chain gym) and the trial is $10. In addition to that, for the time period that I wanted, I could get a premium membership (fitness consultation, body scan, and access to hydromassage beds, tanning beds, and light therapy room) at club 4 fitness for 1/3 of the price. They were having a deal at the time that made the premium membership cheaper for the first month. Club 4 also has an actual 3-day free trial, which I used for all 3 days. The gym itself isn't that bad, I was able to find everything that I needed for my workout (was doing push that day, so maybe not for pull/legs), and most of the equipment is in good shape. It is also worth noting that they have a complimentary fitness test, but you have to go elsewhere for it (and might be able to get the same thing by going to a different Anytime Fitness) In the end, I decided on club 4 even though it is 10 minutes further. I have been going there for a month and have also hired one of their personal trainers.

Unfortunately, I never got a chance to use the gym. I have an Active & Fit membership which this…read moregym is a member of. From the first day of trying to get a membership here it was a problem. I had to find old key fobs from other locations and call up my previous locations because the female owner couldn't figure out how to set up my membership. Then, she tried to tell me that I had to call my insurance. For what?! I have had Active & Fit for about 4 years and have never had a problem signing up at gyms. As a matter of fact, I have signed up for 3 other Anytime Fitness locations including Port Allen in the past with no issue. After about an hour of her trying to figure it out, she allegedly set up my membership. Fast forward about 1.5 weeks and I try to access the gym. My fob does not work and no one lets me inside the gym. Frustrated yet grateful, I drive to PF down the road. A few days later I go back to Anytime and my fob still does not work. This time a male is working. He calls the woman and she states again that I need to call my insurance. I ask what am I calling them for? I pay the monthly Active & Fit fee, that's all they are concerned about. At this point I give up. I went ahead and got a membership at Centurion so that I can access a gym when PF is closed. It's interesting how I was able to successfully and easily get memberships at two other gyms. If she doesn't know how to process Active & Fit memberships then she needs to learn how or stop participating in the program. She wasted so much of my time with her incompetence.

I trained in vinyasa yoga, but welcomed the challenge of learning a new style when I was greeted with Bikram Yoga at Preservation Yoga. Everyone here (instructors and students alike) have been nothing short of amazing and incredibly helpful! I have yoga brain at the moment so forgive me if this review is a little all over the place. Tonight I took the bikram hot 90 class at 5pm and decided to stay for the new "fusion" class. Definitely a good idea! (Make sure you hydrate and rest!) The appropriately named "Fusion" class fuses poses and styles of both vinyasa and bikram yoga. It was designed perfectly! I found it to be a great mix of challenging and meditative, definitely a good class for beginners and experienced yogis alike! Everyone here is super helpful and incredibly knowledgeable about form and breath, which is crucial in any type of exercise but especially yoga (at least for myself) highly highly recommend this studio!

The instructor/owner is a ball of energy. She's moving, and it makes you want to keep moving. If you are a novice to Zumba, like I am, learning or keeping up with the steps isn't too hard. It's constant moving, but you can move at a pace that you keep up with. Some people were movin and jumping right along with her, and some, like me had to take a few 8 counts to two step and breathe . I will definitely be back tomorrow! You can register online or drop in, and drop in was only $7!!!! This is perfect for people like me, who have a tough time in the gym. 1 hour a few times a week, giving it all I've got is great for me. The Sweatbox also offers wellness consultations, a nutrition bar, boot camp sessions, Zumba (of course), off campus events, and they even rent out the studio!!! I can't wait to see what my future looks like, now that I've found this place.
