Punch away the tension and kick away the craze. Whether you've had a stressful day at work or dealing with the chaos of life, this gym has the perfect solution! Take those boxing gloves and punch like you've never punched before and kick that bag like you never thought you could kick! I remember my very first class at UFC, I seriously thought I wasn't going to make it and the very next day I could barely move. Almost a year later, I have reached that insurmountable strength that I never thought I'd obtain. It wasn't easy though and it still isn't easy. I find that if I eat something wrong even a couple hours before a class, my performance is greatly affected. So, there is truth to eating well and maintaining a healthy-balanced lifestyle to be able to get through intense workouts like the ones taught here. Your strength and endurance are pushed to the limits each an every time. Although you can work at your level/pace, it doesn't hurt to push yourself a little bit each time. The coaches here are very motivating and want to make sure you do your best and put your all into each workout. I haven't had a bad instructor. Shout out to kickboxing/boxing instructors Eli, Arturo & Darius plus the awesome manager - Andrew that runs this location. It's easy to access from Sherwood & Coursey and the inside is super clean. If you have kiddos 7+, get them in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) class. It's a win-win for parents and kids: there is a kids BJJ class concurrently with a boxing class. BJJ is definitely a self-defense skill you want your kid(s) to have!

If you prefer to punch and/or kick the pounds away this gym may be the right fit for you. I have been going to the Sherwood location for about four months now and even though it is a bit out of the way from our residency my family has greatly benefited from it. They offer boxing/kickboxing conditioning classes that my wife and I love taking, while our child concurrently takes the Youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class which starts at 5:15pm on Monday and Wednesday. FYI they have a Youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class which also starts at 5:15pm on Tuesday and Thursday.

What is the pricing, and do you take in people prone to joint dislocation via Ehlors Danos syndrome?

We have personal trainers who can guide you. Their is a coach in each class to guide members through the movements as well. Meeting with a coach for personal training first would be ideal so they can assess how to move forward.

Do you know where I can get self defense training?

Hi. We can help with self-defense training. We have classes on Striking, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Wrestling. The combination of these classes are a great way to learn to defend yourself with confidence in any situation.

It took me 2 years to get started again but I'm so glad I did! I was welcomed back with open arms by the entire staff who all remembered me by name. The classes are a perfect mixture of workout and stress relief. I'm usually dropping with sweat by the end. They also have fun DJ nights every month and different challenges/raffles to keep things interesting! Love this place and the people!

They truly care about each of their students, want to help others with their fit journey, and to help each of us stay happy and healthy.   I just began my experience with kickboxing about 2 weeks ago, and it has been almost a decade since I have done any form of exercise. Each of the ladies at iLoveKickboxing have been so patient, understanding, and encouraging to me. That is exactly what I need right now!   Every class is different. Every instructor has a different teaching style. You have fun while learning correct technique and burning fat and calories.   The facility is clean and well cared for. The instructors are very mindful of social distancing, sanitation and cleanliness . . . even for the pens we use!   I am so glad I decided to walk through the doors of iLoveKickboxing in Gonzales, LA! I can't wait to physically see the results that I am already feeling.

I don't go here regularly but I've dropped by to roll quite a few times since 2006…read more It's exactly what I would expect from a bjj gym in Nola. It's like a pop-up in the back of a gym. There are exposed brick walls and some other characteristics you expect to find in these old buildings. It's next to a bar. The students are all friendly and many of them are interesting characters with crazy patches or mismatched neon color rash guards. One guy had a patch on his gi of Johnny Cash flipping the bird, which is the best possible patch if you ask me. I'm surprised there isn't a bar in the back of the gym or a brass band playing while we spar. Professor Matthias is an excellent teacher. I'd also imagine he'd be a great coach ringside as he is always very good at identifying opportunities for attack when we spar. He's also a really down to earth guy with some good stories. I wish I had the time to do bjj seriously again. It's frustrating to know that your skills are devolving while the bjj game keeps changing and evolving, but I guess that's just what happens when you get old. If I did have the time and inclination I would be proud to be a member here. You should check it out.

Being a girl, I have experienced some not so friendly training partners who have a thing about rolling with girls. This was not the case here. Everyone there was super nice, and I was glad to see another girl in the class! The instructor was super technical and thorough. He went over the technique in detail and then gave us plenty of drill time. After technique, he reviewed what he covered before it was time to roll. After a few rounds, he summarized the technique again, which I thought was awesome; repetition really helps new technique stick! What I loved the most was that before he dismissed class, he went around and asked everyone if they had any questions. He answered everyone's questions with patience, and did not rush, although it seemed another class was getting ready to start using the mats. Overall, I had a great time here and I will definitely check them out again whenever I go back and visit.

I thought the people there cared about him. I have highly recommended this gym to countless people over the years. Unfortunately, we had to cancel his membership because the owner, Tory - a professional boxer - decided it would be ok to threaten to get in the ring with my son and "go a few rounds" with him. Not in an effort to teach or guide my son but simply because as my son was in a sparring match he didn't hear a command that Tory gave him. I am beyond disappointed.

I was a member of UFC Gym in Chicago for three years and loved the boxing and HIIT and was in the best shape of my life. I moved to Mandeville and joined Orangetheory and have been there for a year. I did not see the results I expected after a year of consistent training and eating well. I came across this gym and took the free class....wow! My theory is if I don't hate the trainer during the workout it's not a good workout! The owners are so friendly and welcoming. The members are supportive. It's a small gym so, if you don't care about bourgeois gyms where people spend more time taking selfies than on a serious workout than this is your place! I encourage everyone to try the free class. You won't regret it!
